This is the new Panda Express that opened up at Bellevue Square late last year. It is located in the space of a former pizza place in the Macy’s wing of the shopping center on the 2nd floor. Since Bellevue Square doesn’t have a food court, it has for many years had limited casual food eatery options. So it is nice that they have been opening up places like Panda to address this. This Panda Express location is unique in that they have a Tea Bar which includes bubble tea as an option. If you are looking for a good bite, Panda Express is a nice place to feed your appetite. Their meals are pretty reasonably priced. A 2 item combo for $ 7.30 is not too bad. If you have never been to a Panda Express, basically you choose from an assorted selection of buffet style Asian and Chinese dishes alongside your choice of chow mein or rice. I usually go for the chow mein and their orange chicken which I think is their best item by far. It is basically fried chicken nuggets with orange sauce on top. On this occasion, I got the beef and broccoli as the other side which was alright. The seating inside Panda is a bit limited. They have a few booths and some long tables here. If you see that the seating area is quite full and there is a long line to order, I would recommend getting your order to go instead. There are many other places to sit inside the mall, so I would go elsewhere. If you are looking for a quick bite at Bellevue Square, Panda Expess is perfectly fine. The food is pretty consistent and the prices are reasonable for what you get.

This Panda Express fits the Bellevue Square esthetic. Open kitchen, Tea Bar in the back, some sleek design features. Food-wise, it’s exactly what one would expect – lots of artificial flavors and fried items – and sometimes, it hits the spot precisely. I’m glad that after about 15 – 20 years away, Panda Express is back in Bellevue Square! The Tea Bar in the back of the restaurant has it’s own register, so beeline there if you’re looking for a fruit lemonade, fruit tea, smoothie or milk tea. The employee who was manning the station wasn’t very helpful in explaining the menu, and we had to ask a series of yes/no questions to start to understand their offerings. Expectedly, their signature milk tea tasted artificial. Can’t speak to the boba or other additions since I didn’t order any of those. Next time, I’ll try the raspberry lemonade tea!

The Kong Pao chicken here is the most authentic one I’ve ever had!(as a Chinese) we ordered two more as takeout after dining in.

I don’t know why there is so much hate for Panda Express. It’s not that baddddd, especially this Panda Express location in Bellevue Square. You can see all the cooking by the serving area so obviously it’s a clean Chinese place, hard to find right? There is also a great variety of food selections with reasonable prices. You can get really full with $ 6 – 9 dollars meal depending on how many things you want to eat. I went there for lunch time on a Monday, in which I got Orange Chicken, Broccoli Beef and Honey Walnut Shrimps with Chow-Mein for my meal and a Strawberry Lemonade as my drink. I don’t remember the exact price but I think it was around $ 12. I got really full… of course, it was a lot of foods and I was very happy with everything I ate. Maybe if they want to improve their quality, I say put more chicken into the orange chicken instead of having 70% of the batter over 30% chicken… put more flavors into the honey walnut shrimps, and also their Hot Sauce sucks. They are trying too hard to duplicate Sri Racha, but the sour and spicy flavors are too strong for everything else. I ended up dipping only twice and finished the rest of the plate without hot sauce(which is very unusual for a Thai person, right?). Anyway, a great Panda Express. Half of the staffs are friendly, and some of them hate it to be there.

best Panda Express on the planet. I don’t know what that other person is talking about because my meats are always charred black, never undercooked! I love this place, it really makes me feel like I’m back in Pyongyang. plus, the cartoon pandas remind me of my pet panda, Ling Zhou. will come to again!
