I should have written a review long ago, but I’m new to Unilocal.I’ve been seeing Dr. Maebo for years. After 2 late in life pregnancies, my teeth were a mess. Dr. Maebo restored the damage for me in increments I could handle and his office staff helped me understand and utilize my insurance benefits most efficiently. When it came time for my kids to see a dentist, I didn’t even bother considering a children’s dentist. The hygienists, assistants, and of course Dr. Maebo had already proven themselves to me. My kids love it there too. When I asked Dr. Maebo about replacing my amalgam fillings, he explained to me why we wouldn’t want to do that until they begin to fail. I appreciated that and just recently I had two beautiful composite fillings put in to replace my worn out ones. Dr. Maebo administered just enough anesthetic to do the work, without having to do a full block. Thankfully I wasn’t numb for days and the shots (one on each side), didn’t even hurt.
When my little girl fell off a barstool and it came down on her face, doing significant damage. Dr. Maebo made himself available on a Saturday to see her right away. He did x-​rays to make sure nothing was broken, advise this ruffled mom on how to handle it, and started her on antibiotics to avoid infection. He monitored her, and fortunately the gum tissue grew back and no surgical grafts were needed.
It’s unfortunate that Richard L feels like he had such a poor experience. In my years of visiting the office, I’ve never had a negative experience with any of the staff. Though the coordinator is definitely on the front lines with clients, I will still judge my experience based on the care I received with the doctor or the hygienist, no matter what office I do business with.
I appreciate the comprehensive care Dr. Maebo has given my family through the years. I highly recommend him and his office.

When I asked Clinical Coordinator Nancyjo about the possibility to change date for some of the deep cleaning appointments, once I knew this was inconvenient for them, I would go to the appointments anyway, not a big deal. But just because I didn’t understand how come she said the computer couldn’t modify an appointment, she went nuts about Dr. Maebo not accepting any change via email, accused me of not giving them a 72 hour courtesy to replace my time with another patient. And this: «Please be sure that you are extending the clinical staff (and another patient) a 72 hour courtesy to replace your time with another patient that might otherwise be waiting to avoid any cancellation fee.»
What kind of receptionist would say this to people who are keeping their appointments? I couldn’t believe the slander went so far to the point other staff asked me about not coming to the appointment. I have met a few very incredibly nice people, and one of the last things they will do is starting a rally to threaten a person.
Apparently, she prejudged me as an offender who felt privileged to break an appointment. I excused her rude attitude, tried to explain there was a misunderstanding because I had no intention to push for a cancellation. Well, it didn’t work out I’m afraid. Her ego already got in the way looking for every chance to upset me, again and again. Even after I moved out of town for another job (already let them know there was no more appointment), the receptionist still came after me for more appointment so I ignored her. Her delusion struck again and sent a furious email to me. Wow, the experience can’t get more frustrating to deal with a delusional clerk who keeps annoying customer… Usually I’m happy to give decent rating in Unilocal,but the dental office in Bellevue, is not one of them. Period.
The other reviewer, was absolutely humiliated that the receptionist had to make a bitter apology to me because I refused to bow down to absurd twisted lie and potential discrimination. Then pretend the most disgusting loser I have ever seen. Filthy hypocrite INDEED!

I called Randy on a Friday afternoon in distress after breaking a tooth. Almost all other dentist offices were closed, but Randy agreed to fit me in that afternoon, and put in a temporary repair (which was so good I probably could have kept it forever).
I went back shortly thereafter, and Randy installed an incredibly beautiful solid gold repair. The office staff worked effectively with me and my insurance.
They had very few cleaning appointments, so Nancy Jo put me on the waiting list for cancellations. Sure enough, she called me about a week later with an appointment slot that worked.
Nancy Jo, at the desk, is incredibly nice and patient. I can’t imagine what kind of person could have gotten themselves so twisted around as to have written the other review. Personally I’m glad to see he has left the country!
