I opened an account here and was never told about the 60 day new account hold. I was upset but was told it would only be two weeks at another branch so I figured after that everything would be fine. Then I come back after two weeks and now it’s 30 days, then the next time 60. The branch manager at this location seemed puzzled when I had brought up the 60 day hold as if that didn’t exist, but all of the tellers have agreed it is one of their policies. I didn’t use my checking here since during this trial period all of your check deposits are held for 9 days. After the 60 days went up I was already really upset since none of this was disclosed to me, the branch manager was very kind so I continued to bank here. Then I came back and talked to a different manager with a star tattoo. He told me now that the 60 days is up I’m moving to a «case by case» hold, so now my checks will all be held for 3 days. I was extremely upset and we went back and forth for some time until he told me he could give me $ 100 now and the rest 2 days from that date. I agreed and left. I never received the $ 100 that day and had to wait 3 days to access any funds. I wanted to close my account but was told it’s a $ 50 fee. I went to cash a check here yesterday (to avoid the hold) and the manager with a tattoo immediately says no upon seeing me. I was very upset as he had lied to me the last time I came in and I confronted him about it and all he said was that every bank does this (which they don’t) he continued to make rude and condescending comments like «oh I remember you» clearly because I was getting upset but I was upset that everyone at key bank just makes things up to make the customer happy in that particular moment. I don’t deserve to be spoken to in a demeaning way especially by a supervisor. After explaining to him that I knew their policy was not mandatory by the federal reserve and that he had lied to me, he gave the teller permission to cash my check and he walked off without a word. I will never come back here, and I am more than happy to pay $ 50 to close the account.

Alena’s customer service is very horrible. Our company has been working with yours for years and she refuses to be of any assistance and has an extremely poor attitude towards her customers. I’ve had a personal account with key bank for years and after dealing with her, I no longer want to bank of have anything to do with key bank. I plan on immediately moving my money to us bank. thanks for nothing !!
