Jeff Gotch – State Farm Insurance Agent

Before I get started on this review, let me first state that my initial review was removed. I guess it was reported as spam. Not the case! Sorry, State Farm and Jeff Gotch! I am a legit person with a legit complaint, and a legit experience. I will say that we did finally get the reimbursment.
So, on to the review, which I will just simply copy and paste from the original that was emailed back to me:

We had been with State Farm for sometime — years, in fact.
We had issues relocating our insurance when we moved. At first, State Farm put our official rep in Lincoln, NE, which is about an hour away. We figured that it was a corporate error, and went to the nearest location to have it corrected.
We’ve been in the area for approximately two years now. In that two years, my husband has been involved in two minor accidents. Neither resulted in him receiving a ticket nor extensive damage to our vehicles. Neither vehicle had to be placed in a shop. However, State Farm felt that my husband was high risk, therefore dropped our coverage in Oct. 2013. They also stated that our F350 is a commercial vehicle, and they cannot cover it. It wasn’t considered commercial beforehand. I do not need a commercial license to operate it. There are many trucks of equal or larger size running around Nebraska — all of them are commercial? I don’t think so. But, bc of the size and weight of the truck, and my husband being the primary driver of the truck, I believe State Farm was looking for a loop hole to drop us.
We moved our insurance to Farm Bureau. Funny how my F350 is not considered commercial under their terms.
We changed insurance in Oct 2013, as State Farm dropped us. We were still charged for Oct. 2013. I didn’t think anything of it bc it was the final month. However, Nov. 2013 is now here. And State Farm automatically drafted payment again! Angry, both my husband and I called State Farm! We have our new payment auto drafted as well, so State Farm’s surprise draft is definitely not going to help.
State Farm proceeded to tell us that our policy wasn’t up until Jan. 2014. Shocked, we told them about the letter we had received and reminded them that we came to the office after having received the letter in order to try and keep our insurance. We were turned away.
We’ve been double insured for a month and didn’t even know it!
So, State Farm was going to continue to charge us til Jan 2014 for insurance we no longer had.
And now we’re told that it may take up to two weeks to be reimbursed for the wrongful Nov. 2013 draft.
If you decide to use State Farm, be sure not to own a large truck, do not let them auto draft your payments, and remember that corporate tends not to keep local offices in the loop!
But they will tweet you back if you complain! A non helpful, rehearsed and regurgitated reply.
