Very nicely laid out store with nice merchandising and decent products. We were exploring the Bellevue Square area and wandered in. I was curious about accessories for our Kitchen-​aide stand mixer and asked one of the clerks, a middle aged woman, if they had this by name… Kitchenaide. She was carrying a little tablet and had to look up whether they had this product. What??? You work in the store and don’t know if you have a household name kitchen product? No, I don’t think so… besides that the tablet did not work. I don’t expect an employee to have to carry around a tablet to help me. Train your employees… this makes them concentrate on the damn tablet, not the customer. How stupid.
As it turned out their very limited number of stand mixers were about 10 feet away behind a wall. No, they did not have a good selection and no accessories in stock. Meh… give me Sur La Table any day. Hell, a Walmart associate knows where the products are. Won’t see me back there again.

Horrible, unfriendly and snobby staff. I ordered a rug from this store and it arrived after one month waiting in a disproportionate shape! When I called them they want me send pictures to prove how much disproportionate it is in a very rude manner! I have to prove my self when they are at fault! Horrible!
One week earlier, when I called them to know my order status as they were taking a long time to deliver they were rude then as well.
They will be semi nice when they are selling stuffs but not after the order.

Always fun to shop at Crate & Barrel. The quality of the items they sell is very good and reasonably priced. Customer service is helpful, and it’s great that it’s in the middle of downtown Bellevue.

Crate & Barrel is the store that has everything you could use for a wedding or house warming gift. Also for grandma or what to buy your boss.
I’ve been shopping at Crate & Barrel since 2002 when I was given a gift card for Christmas. I usually shop via the catalog and have only stepped foot into this store twice; last night was the second time.
I came in to wander around and kill time while waiting for my boyfriend. I was attracted to an end table made of driftwood with a round glass top for $ 300. When my boyfriend met up with me, he liked a mesh basket on a coffee table for $ 75. Not going to spend that kind of money when I can buy the same elsewhere for much less.
However, most of what I like about C&B are the kitchen items such as dishes and specialty items like a heart-​shaped waffle maker, now on sale for $ 40. They sell the same things you’d find at Target, just at a heavier price tag and with more style.

My friend made a wedding registry here. They have a sign that reads «have some» on a coffee maker. She proceeds to pour herself some when an employee comes over and scolds her for getting her own coffee saying if she wanted some she needs to ask. Then took her coffee from her and threw it away. Then got mad and walked away from her.
My husband went to buy something from her registry and had to ask someone to grab a set of knives. This employee asked another to get them who replied «I’ll get them when I’m good and ready.» Now I don’t know what was in the water or if this was the same lady but the customer service at this expensive store is so snobby and rude we will never return.

My wife and I had a most pleasant shopping experience at Crate & Barrel in Bellevue, WA. Excellent customer service is not dead! We were shopping for a toaster oven to replace our 10+ year old one. I found several on the internet, but we like to see things before buying them, and be able to take them home when we find what we like. One that looked suitable to meet some storage space restrictions we have and had features we want was a Cuisinart in stock at Crate & Barrel. Our sales person, Vera, was most helpful. I have back problems and could not stoop down to examine the device on the bottom shelf, so Vera took it out and found a place to put it so I could see the oven and the controls and measure some critical dimensions. We bought the toaster oven and Vera carried it to our car. We couldn’t have been happier with Crate & Barrel.

Since we moved to Bellevue we have shopped many times at this specific Crate and Barrel, including two major furniture purchase.
I’d say the staff at this store are great. The salesperson, John, is super nice and friendly. Their delivery crew is very professional and made sure to not scratch any surface.
Also, two weeks after one of my purchase, I received a 20% off coupon in mail. I brought the coupon to the store and they gladly gave me a price adjustment.
Overall we are very happy with C&B and would strongly recommend it to others.

This is my go-​to store for affordable necessities and gifts that range from home, kitchen, to miscellaneous knick-​knacks similar to that of Pottery Barn. For the most part, prices are less than that of Pottery Barn, and there is a wider selection of items around the home to choose from. They carry unique yet modern, clean-​lined furniture, decorations such as vases, lamps, candleholders, rugs, and kitchen items such as flatware, and dishes. Yet they also carry kitchen items ranging from oven mitts, to mixers, to spices for cooking. There is little you would need for the home that you couldn’t find here. Each and every Christmas I purchase a trio of glass-​bulb ornaments here that they typically change each year. And the sales are amazing, bringing their often low-​priced items down to prices you can’t refuse to purchase. When you buy online, shipping is very quick, particularly around the holidays when you need your items the fastest. They come boxed in sturdy packaging that protects the many breakable items they carry. There’s always an item they carry on my wish-​list. Simply love this store!

They all seem to be busy and this one is just pure mayhem.
Located at the end of the University Village, it’s got great visibility.
While most of their stuff is pretty pricey, they do have some functional items like the kitchen/​refrigerator for those hard to reach items, and with a lip to pull it out easier too.
Came to shop for some whiskey stones so don’t need ice cubes anymore for my cold drinks. Girl super friendly, checked on the computer to make sure they carried them, and walked me over.
Clean washrooms too ;)

This place is so cool. It has so many great things for the home. Prices are all over the place. There are super deals and there are non deals. But this is a good place to come to get inspired. The staff was very nice.

If you want to be showed the catalog and look at the computer screen to find out what furniture they have available in the very store, you are more than welcome to walk in and deal with the sales person obviously did not know what she has in the store. I was passed one from another and all they show me was a computer screen and the catalog. A small furniture store like this, any given sales person should be able to know what they have on the floor and what customer can order from their company. I was very disappointed with the customer service I was given. It’s such a good products they produce but seems they don’t have anyone who Can present them at the floor.

Bellevue Square has a really large Crate & Barrel with an awesome selection. I’ve found some great buys here and they typically ship to CA at no charge. Service is excellent as are the assortment of of everything from household goods, appliances, china and furniture.
Plus, the B Square store is off the beat and path – connected to the mall via the garage which seems to keep the «Mallers» out.

Crate & Barrel is best friend status. I’m not ashamed to admit my unhealthy dependency on her but we just get each other. She’s the peas to my carrots; she’s the tampon to my panty liners. I spend at least 5% of my life browsing their online catalog. I would say that our friendship makes Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie’s relationship look like our bitch. Except not as trashy but equally materialistic.
Our relationship is on a level playing field, which is more than I can say for most friendships, in that what I receive is as good as what I give. I can rationalize and justify every purchase made here; I will go further and justify your purchases here if need be.
Even though it’s easy to spend hundreds of dollars on a single shopping trip, I feel assured that it’s a quality piece. From their glasses, to cookware, to general kitchen appliances, to random shit you don’t need like napkin rings, Crate & Barrel has it all. I once purchased coasters that were more expensive per piece than a 16 oz. water glass just because it was pretty.
Now that I live close to downtown Bellevue, Crate & Barrel and I will cherish moments together and have heart-​to-​hearts over dark chocolate truffles. Our fashion senses at home mingle and our philosophies align. She takes a good chunk of my bank account but that’s only because I love her.

If you’re looking for a place to register for your wedding, and know that Target or Bed Bath & Beyond isn’t going to cut it, Crate & Barrel just might be the spot for you. They’ve got a nice selection of just about everything, ranging from furniture to wall hangings to dishware. This location utilizes multiple floors to house all these goods, but the space itself is well laid out, and with its multiple entrances, the store didn’t give off the «I’m overcrowded» vibe. Stop in, take a look around, and I’m sure you’ll find one or two things you can’t live without.

The last time I visited Crate and Barrel was this past Christmas. An employee who reminded me of slightly effeminate Santa Claus gave a snarky, even rude response when asked for directions to the Christmas decorations. That was at the U Village store, however. I’ve shopped in the Bellevue store before and haven’t had as unpleasant an experience with staff, although I wouldn’t describe them as overly friendly or helpful.
Crate and Barrel has a pretentious and snooty vibe, which is certainly not justified by the quality and stylishness of the merchandise they sell. Over the years we have purchased some cabinets and sofas from them, as well as housewares. The prices are very high given the quality of their products. The sofas turned out to have some design flaws that only became evident after a year or so, and the fabric has faded terribly even though they have never been placed in direct sunlight. The cabinets are prone to chip very easily, and the glass doors on the TV stand no long function very well, as they stick and are difficult to slide.
Overall, the best I can say is at least they’re not as bad as Restoration Hardware.

I love this store! And, seriously, what’s not to love? There’s a huge inventory of house stuff — furniture, home accessories, kitchen items, holiday/​seasonal décor — and, surprisingly, everything is super-​reasonably priced. I often walk around the store, getting inspired for decorating certain areas in my house. I have always found gifts for others here in this store, and thier XMas selection of gifts (foods, ornaments and décor) is outstanding. The salespeople aren’t pushy and will gladly let you browse in peace. They have tons of things for smaller living spaces (apartments and small townhomes), as many items are smaller-​scale. Also, good to note: they have really nice and clean bathrooms upstairs in the back for the public.

I’d been to the university village location quite a few times, but visited this Bellevue location for the first time this past weekend. Parking can be a pain, but if you’re willing to drive up the garage and wait behind people for a while, you can generally always find parking. The store itself felt smaller than other crate and barrels I’ve been to (university village & dallas locations). There was still a lot of inventory though. During the 30 minutes I was there, not one salesperson approached me. I guess they were too busy/​figured we weren’t serious about buying furniture!
Crate and barrel does have some good furniture though. I own quite a few pieces from there. They do have some stuff though that is definitely that «expensive Ikea» look, but they have much more than that. You just have to know what you’re looking for.
Overall — store seemed fine, crate and barrel rules, 4 stars!

Every time I come here I want to buy the whole store, even though I’m fairly certain I don’t need a different bowl for every type of food or meal I might have. Prices are actually pretty reasonable though and everything looks nice. One of our wedding registries was here too and I got lots of nice stuff.
The furniture can be expensive but I love that a lot of it is designed for small spaces. We were here the other day and found the perfect desk for our small condo. I ended up ordering it online though but that was also a breeze and so was delivery.
The style and items just really match my personal style so I think of course a lot of deciding to come here or not is a personal preference.

Here’s a giant store full of stuff for your house. House already full of stuff? Go buy a bigger house. We need to sell you some more stuff. You have placemats in only one color? What are you? Conducting Al-​Qaeda training camps in your basement, got no time for placemat shopping? Get American, and get in here and buy.
Actually, even if your credit card doesn’t feel quite bold enough to be ready for the full-​frontal treatment that this place demands of it, this is a pretty convincing place to wander around and imagine buying stuff. If you can picture yourself having an opinion about dinner plates, salad plates, appetizer plates, and those other plates, whatever the hell they are, then this is a place where you can bring that opinion. You can peel the damp paper towels away from that fledgling opinion, and watch it leap into the jet stream alongside opinions about furniture upholstery, «runners,» which are upholstery for the tops of furnitures, I think, as well as opinions about small shiny appliances, and small shiny salesgirls. Oh, and, please – stop looking at those. You’ll break them.
Nothing here has to be merely good enough for now. Here, you can find your dream spoon, your forever napkin ring, and the pickle fork you show the world when you say «I believe I’ll have another pickle.»
The stuff is damn nice. That highball glass too heavy? We have it in three other weights, so your widdle arm can lift more gin ‘n’ tonic. That glass looks awfully thin, though… let’s talk about dishwasher clouding over the life of the glass. We have somebody here who published a paper on that.
This place really has it all. Actually, this place has enough to make you redefine your ill-​conceived notion of what «it all» really means, where housewares are concerned. My vocabulary is by most measures an arsenal, but these people have synonyms for «pillow» and «knife» and «chair,» and they have them in quantities that hold promise of uncharted territories of noun. Uncharted… except for the price tags.
Have I actually told you anything about what it’s like to shop here? No. No, I have not. But if you’re reading Unilocal reviews as a way to help you make up your mind about whether you should shop at C&B, well, you can’t afford it.
OTOH, though, those were some pretty sweet highball glasses and I think they were only $ 5. So maybe get your bargain-​huntin’ spectacles on and keep an open mind. And the staff sure is super duper uper nice. And they wrap everything and have a special loading dock out back so they can bring all your housewares straight out to your truck. Nice place.
