Whether you are a professional athlete or just looking to lose weight and get back into shape, we have the programs for you. We offer 1-​on1, semi-​private, small group, and team training. All our trainers are highly educated and industry leaders when it comes to getting results. When first meeting a client we perform a Functional Movement Screen. The results from this initial assessment form the starting point for program design and give us an accurate view of the clients current physical capabilities. We don’t prescribe a one size fits all program. Everything is tailored to clients specific needs and goals.

History

Established in 2005.

Arête in its basic sense, means excellence of any kind. The word actually means something closer to «being the best you can be,» or «reaching your highest human potential.» Arête in ancient Greek culture was courage and strength in the face of adversity and it was to what all people aspired.

The mission of Arête Athletics is to «maximize one’s potential». Our training philosophy is simple; provide our clients with the most effective, current, and researched training techniques, in a motivating, engaging, and safe training environment.

Arête Athletics strives to deliver unmatched results. Our programs are individually designed to help you meet your personal fitness or weight loss goals. We are dedicated to changing the lives of everyone who steps through our doors and fostering positive role-​models.

Meet the Business Owner

Myles M.

Business Owner

Myles’s personal training career began in 2001 after receiving his Bachelor of Science Degree from Western Washington University. Immediately following graduation he began his personal training career at a high end health club in Bellevue, Washington.

After establishing a devoted client base, Myles opened his own business, Arête Athletics in 2006. He holds advanced certifications through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), CSCS National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), USA Weight Lifting Sport Performance Coach, FMS-​1, International Youth and Conditioning Association YFS-​1, and Muscle Activation Technique Jump Start.

Myles maintains a full schedule of personal training clients ranging in age from 8 – 93 with varying levels of exercise experience. Clientele ranges from new to exercising looking to lose a few pounds to youth athletes learning basic fundamentals all the way up to collegiate and professional athletes maximizing performance.
