A Plush Pet

They do an excellent job of bathing and grooming my schnauzers. I have been coming to them for a long time (since 2000?). A few times I e needed bording, too. They have great prices, have great service, and the owners are very nice people! I don’t live near them any longer, but I still do the drive for their excellent business!

These people have moved their business into their home. I didn’t actually have a problem with a home business, so I was willing to give it a try. When we arrived at their house, I was a bit surprised at the sanitation level on the outside… The inside was even worse. There were kids and loose dogs running around the house. The house was unclean, messy, and in bad condition… I don’t mean to be rude, but this place was not suitable to run a business in.
I told the man that I had changed my mind about the appointment, and had decided to cancel. He immediately became very defensive and a bit rude. I can understand his emotions, but it was extremely unprofessional.
I’m unsure of what to expect from the actual dog grooming. But, the overall appearance of this place was sloppy. I was afraid to leave my dog in this place, and would definitely advise against others going here.

After a terrible experience at Petco in Factoria, I decided to give these guys a try.
I believe they are a husband and wife owned business. They were very accommodating and friendly. They listened to what I wanted done to our Lhasas and they did exactly that. The breed can be very aggressive. They seemed to know and expect that.
They were ready to be picked up in 4 hours (vs 8 hours at Petco). It cost $ 116 for both dogs for a full groom, including nails.
I’m very happy with their service. I highly recommend them.

I don’t think any dog enjoys a trip to the groomers, but I think Pat and Joyce do their best to make my dog comfortable. The price is right and my dog always looks great after getting full grooming service. I won’t take my 4-​legged baby anywhere but A PLUSH PET!

We have encountered our fair share of awful grooming experiences with our dog at other groomers. Whether it be rude and rough workers, or picking up a damp, smelly dog; we’ve even had a groomer wound her snout with clippers and had to take her to the vet! So, our new neighbors recommended A Plush Pet to us because she has been taking her dogs there for years!
We have a large, sweet, but anxious dog who has experienced the brunt of these terrible groomers in the past. So, we gave them a try and have nothing but WONDERFUL things to say!
The owners sometimes even have their own dogs in the shop and are able to control and walk our wily mutt right past them without incident! It’s pretty amazing!
The owners are sweethearts and consistent in their grooming abilities. We have taken our dog to them 5 times now and each time we pick her up, she is happy, dry, and beautiful!
If you’ve encountered the same aggravating grooming history and are searching for a new groomer, then I DEFINITELY recommend their little shop!

We live nowhere near Bellevue but have been driving our dogs there to be groomed for 13 years. Need I say more?
Pat and Joyce do a wonderful job. Our dogs always come out cute, clean, and happy. When our little dog died, I called Pat and thanked him for many years of service. They are skilled, love animals, and will treat your dogs well.
We will always take our dogs to A Plush Pet. They are so kind to our dogs and we trust them.

Most awesome pet groomer in Seattle, Pat and Joyce take care of my dogs and they love them!!! Gentle, kind older people who love animal. The price is crazy low, been a regular for over 6 years, but not just because of the price, my dogs are safe in their hands. the grooming has always been superior — nothing to complain about

Although Plush Pet is affordable, my dog wanted out of there like he’d been traumatized. After 2 visits, that was enough. We use PupScrub now and the dogs are in & out in 90 minutes looking great, smelling great and not skittish in any way.

A worrier by nature, I was extra cautious about finding a dog groomer. I didn’t want Hercules to lose an ear at the groomer’s hands or lose any of his furry charm. After looking at websites and calling far too many businesses, I settled on A Plush Pet. While I’m relieved Herc still has his ears attached and they’re not super glued back on, I can’t say I’m thrilled with the grooming.
When I scheduled the appointment, I was told that if he was dropped off at 9am, then he’d be free to go by 2pm. For a medium sized, border collie/​lab mix, I felt that five hours wasn’t too shabby for nail cutting, washing, hair trimming and drying. When I dropped him off, I was he’d be done at 4:30, which is much later than I was originally told. Fortunately, he was ready by 3:30, but that’s still later than expected.
If you’re taking your dog there to get groomed, I highly recommend that you know exactly what you want done to him. I mean, exactly. I told them to clean him up a bit. I didn’t want him shaved, but his long hair needed trimmed up. When I came to pick him up, he rushed out the door like a bat out of hell. I didn’t have a chance to give his darting body a good look over. Once in the car, I realized that his cut much shorter than I would have preferred and they had left some sort of bowl cut on his head. Not exactly what I had in mind.
The people who work there are very friendly and the price is affordable. It looks as if this place is geared toward smaller, froufier dogs. My bigger, low maintenance dog isn’t looking to be «styled». It goes a long way knowing that I don’t have to worry about Herc when he’s there, though. Also, the handmade card sent to Hercules a few weeks after the appt. was a nice touch on the customer service front.
