Before this my go-​to repair shop was ebits, and this shop is far better. There’s a $ 50 diagnostic fee at ebits, and at A plus they’ll diagnose for free. The service was also much more speedy, attentive, and customer focused at this shop.
I brought my 2015 macbook pro (with retina screen) in because I dropped it cracked the screen. A Plus gave me a quote that came to about half as much as their competitors. To reduce the price of the repair we decided to replace my cracked screen with a used one that would function perfectly, but would have light cosmetic scratches on the aluminum (but not the retina screen). I was concerned about the extent of the scratches, but David was very communicative and even sent me the Ebay listings he was choosing from. We spoke together and decided on the best option for the most affordable price point — he was very open and made the process totally transparent, which was a refreshing break from how other shops operate. I was trying to decide on the best shipping option (to see if it was worth it to get expedited shipping) and David even offered to cover the cost difference for expedited shipping if it arrived outside a certain date window — talk about going above and beyond for the customer!
Unfortunately, after they completed the repairs my computer had some unrelated issues. The team at A plus reacted perfectly, trying to help me resolve the problem with creative solutions. They really care about offering the best experience to the consumer, even when they could have made more money ignoring my unfortunate situation. Having been screwed over by other repair shops in the past, that meant alot.
Overall I’m confident that A Plus will give you the same stellar service and attention that they gave me, repairing your computer as affordably and quickly as possible while doing their very best to demystify the confusing process of computer repairs. I plan on coming to them with all my electronic needs in the future.

The team at A Plus is awesome. We’ve been using them for several years now, and they have never failed us. They are knowledgeable, fast and efficient, and their pricing is very fair. Each time we have had a computer issue, they are available on the spot. We’ve never had to wait more than a day or two, and generally they fix it within 24 hours or less. Once I get the A Plus guys on the phone, I breathe a huge sigh of relief, as I know the problem will be solved. Special thanks to Darren for always giving us great service and great advice.

GLOWING customer service. Had a virus and they cleaned it off the system and did a re-​install. I had ONE problem and the guy was there in 20 minutes with a fix.

This is an update to my previous review. If there was an option of 3 ½ stars I would have gone with that.
I initially brought in a very slow laptop to find out what my options were for making it faster. It was suggested that I put in a solid state drive which made sense so they went ahead and did the work. Unfortunately that did not solve the problem of making my laptop faster so I had to bring it back a few times.
The reason for the three star review is that although I brought it back about 4 times it was never communicated to me what the problem was until I was able to speak with Darren. Darren was very helpful in letting me know what the issue was and worked quickly to resolve it. Turns out the processor on the laptop was very inadequate and any other type of upgrade wouldn’t be able to help it. Darren was very helpful in getting my money back on the hard drive.
If I had talked to Darren first, before all of the trips in I would be giving a five star review, but I had to mark it down a bit for the initial lack of communication and my time spent running back to the shop.

I have used APlus Computer Tech on the Eastside when we lived in Issaquah and now the Tacoma store several times since we have moved to the South Sound. They consistently give top quality customer care! They have come to my home to get all of our computers «back on track», cleared viruses, worked on laptops, and have always been competitively priced, punctual and friendly. I have stopped by their storefront location in Tacoma with laptop issues and they have been awesome! Today I stopped by with my laptop and Steven helped me– he was great, fixed the issue and sent me on my way!

I’m always having computer issues. I am one of those people who knows a good deal about computers yet somehow i end up with virus’s, computer crashes, something suddenly stops working, blue screens, etc. I was recommended to try finding help at A-​plus. I was hesitant to try out a computer repair shop because i thought it was costly but i was so wrong. I saved more money taking my computer here than if i had bought a new computer all together or if i had thought it was a motherboard issue but turned out to be a hard drive issue. This place will save you so much of your time than if you try to figure it out yourself!
A-​Plus is professional, friendly and the quality of service was exceptional! I was treated with respect as David went over with me step by step of whats wrong with my computer, what they can do, how much it will be, how long it will take for replacement parts to come in, how fast it will take, how far am i on the list of orders, etc! I get updates on my computer via email and phone of how my computer is coming along, when i can pick it up, if something suddenly happens and they find something else wrong with it or if the USPS decided not to deliver my computer part on time, David or Leon would inform me about what was happening.
If you are worried about them trying to scam you into more money, these guys don’t. I got my blue screen problem fixed but i was told my graphics card is having issues with my last visit. They gave me advice on what i could do, told me it wasn’t a major problem for now and didn’t force me to get it done by them on that day. Simply wonderful! I didn’t feel pressured at all and they also gave me advice and what to look out for next time im having problems! So i was able to purchase a new graphics card with their recommendations on my own.
Besides fixing computers, they also do ipads, iphones, you name it. I was told they could fix a cracked iphone screen instead of buying a new one. I don’t have a iphone but im sure my friend would love to go see them sometime soon since she just broke hers.
Just something for you to take into consideration when bringing in your computer, they are a small shop. Only 5 men, sometimes only 2 people are there at a time. They can get busy but will always be honest with you about how long its going to take. If you drop your computer off when they aren’t busy, then it will be fixed faster. If you drop your computer off say on holiday weeks or busy days, it will take longer. This isn’t a big company so give them time. They know what they are doing.
Also i was told they could retrieve deleted photos and videos off of my corrupt hard drive! I haven’t brought it in yet but i was surprised. David informed me that sometimes not everything can be saved and wont know what there is to be saved till he looks at it, so i should always have a backup of my irreplaceable stuff. Next time i’ll make sure that i have one.
Oh one more thing to note which i havent had experience with yet but if i was ever unavailable to come into the shop, they can make a appointment to come to my home to fix my computer or to set something up. I thought that was nice to note. It feels like a professional company when you can get service at the shop or at home. It does cost more but if i ever couldn’t make it in, this would be great. I was told they have another shop down in Tacoma too so they can travel almost anywhere.
The only bad thing about this shop is its location and parking. The parking lot is almost always full. Thankfully Safeway is right next to it so i can drop off my computer and shop for food at the same time.
Overall, After seeing these guys for about 2 years, i give them ⁵⁄₅ stars for their service. Thank you A-​plus for such wonderful customer support. I will return soon (Hopefully not too soon).

I bumped in the store to see if I am get my computer fixed. The crews have been super nice and helpful. I got email updates every day on the status. even though I end up deciding to buy a new computer, they are still very kind and helped me on recycling the old PC. This is a place with trust and respect and I would recommend to others.

I sent them an email late at night and got a response early the next day. They didn’t want to give me a quote until I had brought my computer in for an evaluation because it might have been a different problem from the one I identified. I turned out to be right, but I appreciated their care anyway.
Easy parking out front, professional, friendly and courteous staff. Excellent work — they fortunately had a spare part in stock and replaced an Ultrabook screen within 30 minutes. Reasonable too!

I was having a couple serious problems with the wireless network at my home and I found the service I received to be very professional, competent and friendly. It was not a simple or obvious problem and Leon really put in the extra time to help diagnose the problem and get it resolved.
I have to give him a lot of credit for the extra house-​call which he made on his own time after regular business hours! The patient (my network) is much better now – thank-​you, doctor!

I brought my brother’s laptop to this place based off of my friends recommendation that this place was amazing for any repairs to any laptops. I was not disappointed and felt that this place was very in tune with what any customer needs.
My brother’s laptop had a weird funky problem. He had somehow shoved his A/​C jack all the way in, thereby, dismounting the A/​C jack internally, and therefore could not charge his laptop. The friendly folks at A Plus Computer Tech gave us a FREE QUOTE/​ESTIMATE (standard), and told us exactly how much they would charge ahead of time, so that there were no surprises later on.
When I asked them further questions about the possibility of them ordering another charger for us, they gave us another estimated price range, so when we had our job completed, we knew exactly what we were getting and what we were paying for.
They know what they are doing and they are more than willing to help you every step of the way. At first I was concerned that they wouldn’t be able to finish the job on time or that there would be further problems. NO. They banished my anxiety and kept me promptly updated through phone calls that made me feel as if they weren’t just another ‘computer factory’ mindlessly repairing, etc.
BOTTOM LINE: These guys mean business and they do it with fantastic customer service. I would recommend this place to all of my friends who have a computer problem. Period.

My computer had a virus on it so I brought it into A Plus and the staff is so friendly and kind! A week later the virus returned and I took it back to them, which they immediately took care of for me. You could tell that they were very busy as a office, but they were really great about checking in with me and explaining what they were doing. They are also very informative and explained each step of the process.

Found the guys to be friendly and knowledgeable. Was having problems with my Asus laptop lid. After showing it to some other repair shops and reading online was in an impression that the hinges were broken. Thus thought of stopping by at a plus, who to my surprise said otherwise and fixed the laptop in 20 mins. Am happy with the fix so far

This is my first review that I have ever done here. These guys were so great, that I had to leave them an amazing review. I was stumped at what was plaguing my computer for the past few weeks. So, I brought my computer in and they diagnosed my computer’s problem within a day or so. I decided that repairing my computer would be too costly in the end, and asked them to build a new computer for me. I was able to have all my parts shipped to them and they assembled my new computer beautifully and quickly.
I would gladly use them again. Special thanks to Alan who helped me throughout the entire process.

These guys are friendly, honest, down-​to-​earth and patient. My iMac was on it’s last leg and these guys did a free diagnostic it is really free. I decided not to go with their repair options, but they explained everything fully and I picked up my computer the next week no questions asked. If you’re coming from Seattle, they are located right downtown off of Bellevue Way and you can park for free in their private lot.
I will come here first next time I have a mac problem that requires professional help.

Fabulous honest service at a fair price! My computer was overheating. Instead of replacing it they just cleaned it and added lubricant and it did the trick. Service was fast and efficient. My computer came back never looking so clean.

I visited A Plus for a quick question because I happened to have lunch a few doors down, but the staff really knew their stuff and I found myself learning quite a bit more than I expected. I had a few fairly complicated computer security questions and both employees had great ideas for me to try. I appreciated their help very much!
These guys had my best interest at heart and didn’t push any products on me at all. The next time I need something computer related done, I will definitely check them out. I suggest everyone else do the same.

So far so good. Walked into here during an outing with the kids to the sushi place they like. Kids were entertained by the fish tank.
Me? I had a run in with a naughty operating system that hosed a flash drive. I’ve been meaning to find someone to help me with it. My efforts got me $ 40 less richer and a bunch of Flash files rendered as word docs. Bleh.
Anyway, the guy was nice and gave me a relatively firm estimate. Plus he said they would do a free diagnostic on it first.
Had a bit of trouble communicating with him but he was patient with me.
Not sure if I’ll pick ‘em or not but they are definite candidates for my quest to recover hours and hours of work.
