Established in 2003.

In 2003, Nathan Stooke’s neighbor was searching for high speed Internet and had no options. Nathan researched how high speed wireless Internet worked and soon was able to provide service for his neighbor and Wisper was born. In three short years, Wisper had grown to 2,500 customers and 16 employees. Today, Wisper’s headquarters are located in Belleville, Illinois in an old renovated barn. Wisper gains an average of five new customers a day. They provide service to both metropolitan and rural customers, «connecting you when others can’t.» Wisper prides itself on its superb customer service and 99.9% up-​time.

In the last ten years, Nathan Stooke has gone from programming PCs to building Wisper, ISP into the most successful Wireless ISP in the area.

As CEO of Wisper, ISP, Nathan has provided high speed Internet service to thousands of happy customers, many of them in rural areas where previous service had been spotty or nonexistent.

Stooke is a well-​respected business man in the St. Louis area having been selected as a «Top 30 Under 30» by the St. Louis Business Journal and named on the list of the «Top 100 St. Louisans to Know» by the St. Louis Small Business Monthly. In 2011, Stooke made the decision to pour the profits back into his network and he upgraded the entire infrastructure, giving current customers increased bandwidth at no additional cost. His commitment to service has helped cultivate loyal customers as well as a dedicated workforce.
