Description

Specialties

We think The Abbey serves the best cup of coffee in town. And besides great coffee and coffee drinks, we serve breakfast, lunch and now gourmet shared plates for dinner on Weds. thru Sat. evenings. We also have a fully stocked bar with a wide variety of craft, imported and local beers, fine wine and top shelf liquor.

We do our best to provide our customers with a comfortable and relaxing place to enjoy food, drink and smooth Jazz.

On Thursday evenings we host Singer/Songwriters in the Round. On Friday evenings we welcome area Jazz Trios onto the stage and on many Saturday nights we have live music as well.

History

Established in 2000.

We opened The Abbey in the year 2000 determined to serve the richest cup of coffee in the area. Since then, we’ve grown from a coffee shop to a full restaurant offering homemade breakfasts, soup, salads, and sandwiches for lunch and a gourmet menu of shared plates for dinner. We host live music every Thursday and Friday evenings and often on Saturday night as well.

We still serve the best cup of coffee east of the Mississippi but now that cup can be enjoyed in front of a stone fireplace or on a lighted patio and accompanied by some of the best smooth Jazz in the area.

Meet the Business Owner

Jim O.

Business Owner

Jim has a passion for nice things, In 2000 when he opened The Abbey he wanted to offer his customer the best and richest coffee as well as a humidor filled with the best cigars he could find. SInce then, he’s expanded The Abbey’s offerings to include top shelf liquor, world class craft beers and fine wine. In his quest to provide only the finest to his customers, Jim employed a gelato maestro and now serves fresh gelato made daily in his own kitchen. Encouraged by his love of live music, Jim built a stage and now The Abbey is host to live weekly performances by Jazz and other area musicians,
