Round Table Cafe

My wife and I stopped by for a late dinner. We were the only one’s in the restaurant at 8:00 on a Saturday night. My wife got the Hercules skillet with pancakes and I got the Greek island salad which came with a bowl of soup. They had about four different choices of soup which was great. I got the spinach and mushroom which was to die for. My salad had just about everything you would put on a salad but the kitchen sink. The pita bread was very tasty. Probably the most tasty pita I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Everything was very fresh tasting. The gyro meat wasn’t as good as other places but wasn’t bad either. The waitress was very courteous and came back to our table to refill our drinks and ask us if everything was good a couple times.
My wife loved her skillet and she said the pancakes were light and fluffy.
This was my third time eating here and the food seems to get better every time. They made a fresh pot of coffee for my wife and my iced tea tasted like it was freshly brewed. We will be back often.
The prices are very reasonable and the portions are large.
I like what they did to fix up the place and the parking lot is very well lit at night.
I have them four stars because I feel they should down size the menu so it’s not so huge and confusing.

I had a terrible breakfast with slimy eggs. The bacon was tough and cold potatoes. I wouldn’t recommend any this place for breakfast

The Round Table Café recently opened in the space formerly occupied by the American Patriot Grill in front of Marco’s on Main in West Belleville.
They have a very extensive menu. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner items. BBQ. Salads. Eggs. Belgian Waffles. Chicken. Beef. Fish. Burgers. Sandwiches. Gyros. Country Cooking. Steaks. Senior menu items (a senior is defined as age 62 and older). Cake. Pie. Ice cream. Reasonable prices.
They have refills on iced tea, soda, coffee, and lemonade.
Waitstaff seems to be experienced and well-​trained.
Both the inside and outside of the restaurant have been extensively redecorated. The new owners installed a modern point-​of-​sale system and rearranged the seating.
The server did a great job taking care of me today. Answered any questions I had. I will warn diners that with a menu as large as this one, they are still learning its ins and outs. So be patient.
Today, I had the Salmon Caesar Salad. it was quite tasty. The dressing was very tangy. Croutons were fresh. There was NO iceberg lettuce in the salad which was a plus. The salmon filet was served with the skin and had no bones present.
The salad came with a choice of soup. I had Chicken Noodle. It was served hot with an assortment of different crackers. Also noticed that the table had Tabasco Sauce along with salt and pepper and a large selection of jellies for toast.
Background music plays in the dining area.
They had printed menus you could take home for reference.
When you come in the door, they have a white board listing all the specials and soups of the day.
I rated them four stars for two reasons: (1) The floor runner coming from the kitchen, past the restrooms really needed to be swept or vacuumed. (2) The men’s restroom was so cold you could hang meat in it and the electric hand dryer was very warm but the blower fan is about to die.
Regardless, I recommend Round Table Café. My wife had to work today, so we’re going back tonight. I am looking forward to it.

Just opened a week ago it sounds.
Massive menu with pasta, sandwiches, steaks, seafood, soups, anything you could want. Prices are reasonable. Server missed one order of soup with the meal but boxed it up to go when asked.
A decent place, clean inside for breakfast or lunch. Hope they can make a name for themselves and succeed in this location where many others have failed.

I went up there to the restruant to have fish on Friday soup was good bread was good salad was good bad thing is the server did not take away my dirty salad dish bad deal. Then when it was time to leave I paid my. Food 28^th debit. She took my card. Left it by the register where anyone would of stole it what a dumb woman. So beware don’t give them your debit card cause u won’t get it back for a long time. I talked to manager reported her didn’t do any good so I’m done with these morons thanks
