I had the front brakes and all 4 tires replaced by them and they do an amazing job! Starting from Pam who gave all the information patiently before I could decide to go with them. When all my queries were clarified, I was connected with Lester and George who know the business in and out. I am amaazed with the professionalism and the quality of work these guys put in. Kudos to all of you for doing great job! I am gonna be a repeat customer.

Recommended by TireRack and Riverside ROCKS folks!!! Two front tires replaced set me back about $ 35.
So I’m addicted to market research and shopping online. Mi lady Niki K needed some new front tires and TireRack was having a sale #Winning!
I picked up two brand new Kumho’s for the ride and figured I would get it installed when I got them installed. Upon checkout TireRack provided two options.
1. Ship to home
2. Ship to installer
Of course I played around with the figures and sending directly to the installer was the perfect option and it would get there next day!
Next day arrived, I call up Riverside as this was my virgin first experience and Lester walked me thru the entire process. Lester is awesome! He rocks and even did his best to get me added to schedule same day as the holiday weekend was approaching. About two three hours later I called for an update and was told I can come in now. 10 – 15 minutes I’m literally in and out, new tires, smooth ride and prepping for my July 4^th holiday weekend.
By winter I will need new tires for my ride and I WILL return to Riverside. Give them a try, they offer multiple mechanic services and labor rate is $ 85 per hour. Enjoy

I’ve been going to Riverside for 8yrs after buying tires from Tire Rack, as they are a recommended installer. My husbands a car guy, and really trusts them for accurate diagnostics of other car issues and fair pricing and downright bargain prices compared to all dealers for brakes, and other issues. They always got in their regular customers in emergencies. Nice office staff and mechanics. They even found a mystery rattle — three tries but kept at it until found loose trim. Bonus is that next door is related body shop with excellent work as well. Very accommodating about after hours stop off and pick up as well.

If you are anywhere near this place USE THEM! My car overheated in the morning and i was alone and already tried to put fluid into my car. When that didn’t work I was in a complete panic. I asked SIri for a near by shop and she took me here. These men were fantastic.
There calmed me down and looked at my car. They didn’t take advantage of the fact that I have NO car knowledge. They were more then willing to talk to my father as well as give me option of taking my car somewhere closer to were I was working.
They knew that I was from out of town and they fixed my car that day and called a taxi so that I could get to work.
I HIGHLY recommend these people. It really means a lot when I get go to a place as a young girl in a complete panic and feel complete comfortable.

I ordered tires from them directly. I had picked them out on Tire Rack already. Taking into consideration the shipping the price was comparable. They installed them fine but they didn’t clean off the white gunk they used to slip the tires onto the rim. A few days later my air pressure sensor went on and I noticed my new tires we’re leaking air. I brought the car back and they said one of the sensors was leaking. Funny they were working just fine before the tires were changed. They charged me $ 100 or so to change the sensor they damaged while changing the tires. To this date the air pressure light was still on until I brought it to the dealer to fix it. Turns out they never properly calibrated the new sensor. They just reset it. This place is sloppy and I would not recommend it.

I ordered 4 tires from tire-​Rack and had them delivered here. They called the same day the order arrived to schedule installation. They installed for about $ 10/​tire plus tax which I think is reasonable as I had seen $ 12-​$ 15/​tire. I was late to the install but they got me out of there before they said they would. The service was amazing and the staff very very very friendly. They know tires and even before ordering from Tire-​Rack, I called them for a general tire question. Lester answered my question with a smile (I didnt know if he actually had a smile b/​c I was on the phone but he sounded happy. LOL). This place is a great little hidden spot (right along the train tracks. LOL) where people truly care. Will definitely go here again (if my flat allows me to drive there safely. LOL).

I’ve been meaning to put in a good word for this tire and auto repair shop for some time. These guys are great and reasonably priced. They have worked on both of my Toyota vehicles, Highlander and Rav4 and also our good friend’s car as well. We’ve come to rely on them as the go to folks for fair and good service.

I’ve used Riverside for the past 18+ years. They’ve worked on every car I’ve ever driven. Their professionalism is top-​notch and they’re very friendly. I’ve lived in several towns in NJ and I ALWAYS take my car to Riverside. I don’t trust anyone else with my car. Their prices are reasonable and fair and they do the work quickly. From tire replacements to oil changes to starters to exhaust systems… George and the guys at Riverside are AWESOME!!!

Had tires I bought online from Tire-​Rack installed here. They did a good job installing them, but they didn’t call me to let me know the car was ready like I asked. Also the new tires were scuffed/​dirty, from shipping I guess, they could have wiped them off with a rag. Two admittedly minor complaints. They were friendly and seemed honest I might give them another shot if the need arose.

These guy’s do all the work on my three vehicles. They are honest and reasonable and fast. A rare find today!

Great service. Great people. The place may not look like nice, but they do a great job. Prices are good and the people are honest. I know about cars, and do some of my own work. Every now and then when I’m too busy or it’s too cold out, I’ll have Riverside work on my (or my wife’s) car. They are very good at what they do. Sometimes tough to get a last min appt, but that just shows how many people actually use their services.

I had them install tires I bought at Tire Rack online (they can be shipped directly there). They were reasonably quick, easy to reach, courteous, and did a good job. Their prices are very good, although a local mechanic might be able to mount/​balance a set of tires cheaper. They’ll also rotate your tires for free while you own the tires/​car, as well as try to price match mail-​order tire places.

Tire installers are not a dime a dozen, but unless you really care about your car, you’d never notice. Take a flat tire. If you ever swapped one out, you get the general idea of getting it patched and re-​mounted. You probably got the attempted up sell: «This tire’s no good, you need a new one»; or maybe you got the more common over torque of your lugs, so the next time you try to take off that tire, you’re standing on a tire iron in the freezing cold wondering how you’re gonna get home.
There’s none of that nonsense at Al’s. You want a torque stick used on your tires? No problem. You want your tire patched? No problem, no attempt at replacing a good tire with a small patchable hole. He wants you to come back, each and every time.
I bought tires from Tire Rack, drop-​shipped to Al’s. He had the tires in two days from order, and I had the first appointment the next day. Took a half-​hour, during which I went to the post office and got coffee. I mean, you can get stuff done in Belleville. Tires mounted, cost was less than $ 25 a tire, and in all, a great experience. When it comes to your car, you can easily encounter sleazy types, but I can safely recommend Al’s as a great exception to the rule.
