Welcome to Meckfessel Tire & Auto. We have been in business since 1927 serving the Belleville and Smithton areas. We are a complete repair and maintenance shop and pride ourselves on taking care of all your car’s needs. History

Established in 1927.

In March of 1927 Henry ‘Mack” Meckfessel partnered with John Pintar, owner of Pintar Tire in Collinsville, Illinois to open Pintar Tire in Belleville, Illinois. The original Belleville store was located at 1214 West Main Street. After only a year in business, the partners went their separate ways. Mack bought out John and renamed the business Meckfessel Tire Company. Mack also purchased property at 415 West Main Street in Belleville and relocated. Meet the Manager

Mark M.

Manager

Mark grew up at Meckfessel Tire and Auto and has spent the last 20 years taking care of his customers’ needs and managing Meckfessel Tire and Auto. Mark graduated from the Automotive Program at SIU Carbondale and spent several years away from the business working for an auto manufacturer. Mark is also an ASE Certified Master Automobile Technician and an ASE Certified Service Consultant.
