My husband and I have been shopping there for years. They have lovely things always something new and interesting. I f there is something you collect they probably have it, if not you will more than likely find something new to start a new collection. I never seem to go in without finding something to buy. I would recommend to anyone who wants to spend a enjoyable time shopping for unique things you will never find anywhere else. the employee’s are always helpful and can tell you all about the items they sell. Give them a try the next time your in Belleville I think you’ll be glad you did.

I first came to Keil’s about two years ago and was impressed with the wide array of items, but I didn’t really know what exactly I was looking at. I went there again yesterday and wow, it really blew me away. There are tables upon tables of STUFF. Mostly pretty old stuff, too. Lots of fancy serveware from the 1920s — 1950s, probably, that looks very delicate and expensive. A good amount of kitchenware(think old can openers, coffee tins, etc), new and old cookie cutters, yardsticks galore(why? I don’t know. But I got a ton of them), magazines, credenzas, etc. There are also some vintage toys and old photographs and postcards. Towards the back, there are locked cabinets with more«valuable» items, like first-print editions of books, older flour/sugar tins, collectible toys, etc. I was going to look primarily for vintage-ish kitchen accessories. I found some stuff there, but the selection wasn’t as great as I thought it would be. And what stuff was there seemed a bit overpriced to me, but I’m a poor twenty-something, so that may just be me. The upstairs has a TON of vintage clothing. I’m not a big shopper on clothes, but there were some adorable dresses I would have tried on, but I’m a baker and rarely have a need to wear a cute ‘60s dress, so I passed. Also — lots of shoes. It’s mostly ladies clothes, though. Sorry dudes. The basement seemed to have the beginnings of an antique mall. Divided into ten or so booths, only two were filled. I found a globe with a smashed side for $ 15(globes are so expensive! I was so excited!) and a sweet old Calumet baking powder tin for $ 3. However, if you’re a discerning antique-o-phile(yup, it’s a word), I think you’ll like this place. It’s definitely worth a stop if you’re in the Belleville area.

I really love this shop! I could spend hours looking at all of the cool stuff! The new vintage boutique upstairs just makes Keils the complete antique and collectable package! I recommend anyone visiting Belleville to stop by !!!
