Place is a rathole and the staff are particularly rude. I priced a Sig Sauer 365 here and they wanted over $800.00 for it. I can get the same gun, new, at other guns stores for $550.00. Don't waste your time here either for CCW cert. The instructors are extremely rude and talk down to anyone who is not a first responder or veteran. Stay away. Go to Gun for Hire in Woodland Park instead.

Been coming to Bullet Hole for a while now. It’s small, at times cramped, and definitely not the cleanest, but it gets the job done. You are coming here to shoot targets and as long as you understand that, it serves it’s purpose.

Had my first visit there the other evening I popped in and waited on line near the counters one salesman was helping someone while the other was on the phone neither took the time to tell me and the other ppl waiting they will be right with us. I ordered some rounds, targets, paid for a hour and went inside 5 minutes later I noticed the salesmen came in wrote my time on the chart and have me a few minutes extra to unpack my stuff and not cut into my shooting time which wS a huge plus!
I like that they require protective gear at all times! The shooting room and the booths are extremely small very very small! And they do not allow weapons outside the booth so if you have more then 2 large weapons you are extremely cluttered. However they did allow me to place empty cases, locks, and backpack behind me near and on the counter. It was pretty empty and I got to shoot without interruption. The range eye spent his time watching one person he seem to know and they made small talk and I got to shoot unbothered.
I came to this location after reading many reviews on how unfriendly the staff is and how cheap the ammo is and how small the range is and yes everything I read is true so why the 4 stars? Because it’s a no bs range for a avid shooter looking to put some target time in nothing more nothing less. If you are looking for a location to mess around with friends and take pictures and videos and get help from the staff do not go here! I like the place and I will return again and again all winter till I return to my usual out door range in the spring. They could easily be a 5 star range if they update the facility n train staff to be friendly at least wear a warm smile.

I have been to this establishment 10 times in the past 20 years, nothing has changed. Staff behind the counter is extremely rude and unfriendly. Range is small and dirty. Being a corporate trainer for a large company my advice would be, smile and update your facility.

Honestly I would like to start of saying this place maybe in a crappy area and a little small inside it gets the job done if you would like to go to other gun ranges like gun for hire you can easily spend like $ 150 minimum if you rent a gun and buy ammo and if you bring a friend. but in bullet hole you can’t rent guns you have to bring in your own gun and ammo but I’ll tell you if you have your own gear your total will come out to $ 30 to $ 50 overall this place is great for shooting at targets and hanging out with your friends for a low price

It isn’t pretty but it gets the job done plus they have good prices on ammo.

I would give this place zero stars if given the option.
I went here one evening to inquire about the NJ Hunter Education program and pick up the workbook/​DVD for myself and a buddy. The older guy behind the counter on the right side when you walk in was SLEEPING on his hand when I walked in. After asking him a few questions about the program I was answered back with very short and attitude filled responses. Sorry to wake you up from your nap grandpa… And how about looking someone in the eye when talking to them? Courtesy is NOT common at this place, HORRIBLE service. As other reviewers have mentioned. the staff here is extremely rude.
When I asked for the workbook and DVD you’d think I asked him to run two laps around the block given his demeanor when he needed to get up, walk two feet, and reach down into a bin to pull a workbook and DVD.
First and last time for me. Stay away from this place if you want to actually be treated with some decency.

I wouldn’t even give them 1 star. These people are the rudest in the business. While they are playing toy solider I was in desert storm, playing real solider for 2 years. Went in to buy a ar and asked to check out the bolt carrier etc and the old man behind the counter asked me if I ever bought a new car, ass hole.
And I said sure did. Then he says do u look at the engine when u buy one. I laughed and said no but I open it up and look inside.
Wtf come on man. Do u think everyone who walks in there is a nube. And if even so u should accommodate them as needed.
U will continue to loose more and more business that’s for sure.

I don’t understand all the bad reviews about the service of this business! I just recently got my firearms ID card and had a ton of questions answered with no problems. They made the buying process friendly and easy can’t wait to do more business with them!

Just stopped by to get a price on a Henry Mare’s Leg 22LR. They can be found readily for $ 350 online and in brick and mortars for around $ 400. Bullet Hole tells me «around $ 800– the price on them went way up.» Good luck with that.

A more appropriate name for this place would be Shit Hole. I mean if you like extremely rude staff, an extremely small store, and a range master that breathes down your neck this is the place for you. I highly recommend Guns For Hire in woodland park. It’s much better than this sad disgusting little place. I only used to go here because it was the only option. Guns for Hire was truly a god send. DO NOT GO HERE!!!

This isn’t the nicest shooting range around but its one of my personal favorites. This place hands down has some of the cheapest prices which is great. They have a large selection of guns and ammo you can buy.
I dont think this place will rent you a gun to shoot. almost positive.
If you get targets and an hour of range time it will cost you about $ 20 which is not bad at all. Whats great about this place is you can always get a booth even on weekends. If you go to other local spots like «Gun For Hire» you can wait over 2+ hours for a booth which is ridiculous.
Here there is no extra charge if you bring more people unlike the competition. You just pay 1 price and 2 or 3 of you can take turns shooting in the same booth which is great. i am a regular customer and i have never been disappointed.

Maybe I’m a little spoiled with the ranges that we have in south Jersey and PA, but I wasn’t really a fan of this place…
As you pull up, your a little thrown off with where exactly to park. There is a side street that runs parallel to the train tracks and inbetween that side street and the train tracks, there’s a gravel area to park in. It’s full of potholes and it gets very muddy at times. And it looks a little shadey at night. Once you make your way into the storefront, you’ll be surprised with how small this place is. However, they sell a huge amount of goods and ammo. There’s literally stuff everywhere, but since the storefront is so small, it just looks junky and cluttered. Making it almost feel like a flea market. To add to that, if you have to wait for the range, you’re better off going back to your car because it’s so tight in there, it’s uncomfortable.
The range itself has 10 ports that are 23 yards long. 23 yards long is one of the shorter ranges that I’ve been to, but that doesn’t really matter to me because I’m not a distance shooter. Even though it’s only 23 yards long, you can still shoot any type of ammo, including high powered stuff. The only restrictions that I saw were you’re not allowed to use Wolf brand ammo and you’re not allowed to rapid fire.
I’ve heard and read many people complain about how rude the staff is, but I’ve never had a problem with them. The way I look at it is safety comes first, so if you’re doing stupid shit or asking stupid questions, you deserve an attitude from the staff. And if you can’t handle that then maybe you should seek out another activity like crocheting.
All in all, this place was suitable… For me… But that’s because I have my own firearms, ammo, targets, and gear. So all that really matters to me is the price and wait time. The price was about average. Literally just a couple of dollars more than my local range. The ammo and other goods seemed to be about average too. My only real complaint about this place is how small the storefront is, which makes it uncomfortable to wait, especially if there’s other people waiting as well.

As everyone says, don’t expect much. Come to blow off steam, or given use to that gun you barely take out, and the staff will certainly be in «no non-​sense» mode always. Been coming here since I was a kid and nothing has changed. Maybe the trainers are nicer, but I’ve never trained with them. I just see the same old people in charge and doing work. I only come here for myself. I wouldn’t make this a «date» with family or partner.
Prices for guns are overpriced, but what gun store isn’t? What I’d like to see is another gun shop/​range spot open up around here. Maybe that’ll be a cause for change in management style.

I dont have any issues with the place really. Its not the fanciest place in the world and its not the worst place in the world
For shooting time it is relatively cheap. There is not really a parking lot but rather and area of questionable parking nearby. You can shoot pretty much anything you want. If i were you shoot a quick call ahead and check how many people are there. They do have 9 or 10 bays so it does go by pretty quickly.
Bring a gun and bring ammo. Shoot some paper. Let off some steam. What else do you really want?

it’s an old-​style pistol range so if you’re looking for glitz, try RTSP, GFH or the Heritage in PA. But here, they’ll pretty much let you shoot anything from a 22LR to a 7.62×39. I’ve seen someone shooting a humongous Magnum revolver once. You can also share ports with a friend, so it’s relatively cheap. The Bayonne PBA range charges $ 15 per person (but you can have your own port).
The crew can be a little gruff if you’re a newbie. Remember, guns are lethal weapons and if you make a stupid mistake someone can get badly hurt or killed. They’re there for your safety and won’t win any popularity contests.

Have visited this establishment twice within the last year only to use the firing range, not to purchase firearms or ammunition. I consider myself a novice and have not been to any other firing ranges yet, so unfortunately I can’t compare it to anything else. My feelings about this place are mixed.
My first visit was because it was not far and a friend recommended it. Returned for same reasons. Both on weekdays. Found the place easily, not a bad town. Parking isn’t too bad on the one-​way street next to the building. Inside is cramped, especially if there are a few people in there but the counter employees were courteous/​helpful. Thought the price was good for an hour w/​several targets.
Once you enter the range, it sours. It is chaotic, tight, dim, dank, dirty and looks like an old torture chamber. But it wouldn’t even bother me that much if the range officials weren’t so mentally unpredictable and equally as disheveled. Upon walking in, they bark out the orders best they can, and walk off. I was also lucky enough to get a great encouraging frown of disapproval after one of them inquired what type of firearm i’d be shooting! Totally inappropriate after plunking down my money. So don’t bring a shotgun… I recommend reading the rules yourself which are posted in each booth before ever putting your equipment down or doing anything or else beware. They lay in wait and relish giving a good scolding. Yeah, they have a job to do but I’m just not comfortable around them. They have put their hands on me, attempted to remove my ear muffs off my head, and I’ve witnessed them do it to other customers. Not to say they don’t help. one did, but as he leaned in to talk to me, the alcohol rolled off his breath… no lie. Some guys like the ”mongloid mentality”… not my cup of tea. Part of the problem is that places to use your firearms legally are far and few between around here, so they feel they have you by the nads. But will try to find someplace else next time. Also, wouldn’t even attempt this place on a weekend. Probably a disaster waiting to happen.

Pros: Cheap ports, ammo and targets, no rentals offered (yes, that’s a pro for me, I’ll explain why below), nice selection of firearms and accessories to purchase.
Cons: The place is small and claustrophobic, can get overcrowded, target retrieval system a bit outdated, as is the ventilation system.
Look, the Bullet Hole might not be pretty to look at, but it’s practical, gets the job done and conveniently located close to where I live. I also don’t get why all the negative comments about the staff, the staff is knowledgeable and have a no-​nonse positive attitude. If you want a more charismatic staff, I suggest you go elsewhere, try eating a burger at you nearest Johnny Rockets or strike a conversation with one of those «geniuses» at the Apple store.
This range does not rent firearms, and that’s a good thing. This means less clueless noobs overcrowding the already small place.
Bottom line: If you’re a local gun owner that doesn’t care about all the bells and whistles and just wants to shoot some cheap lead down range in a low key range, this place is perfect.
If you don’t own a firearm (which everyone should if you ask me) and just want to shoot a gun to check it off your to-​do list or try it out with your friends, go to Gun For Hire instead.
Come back to Bullet Hole when you get your own firearm and you will realize it’s not as bad as some of these negative reviewers on Unilocal make it out to be.

This place is total crap. The only reason why I gave it two stars is because on the off chance you go there, the staff just might be in a good mood and you get some pretty good service. Normally they are rude, rush you away and have zero patience for questions. I don’t expect the best when I open the door and there is a wall of people fumbling over each other but a little effort would be nice. Good selection of overpriced firearms and ammo. On a positive note their pricing for range time is quite reasonable. Best advice is to get in, get a lane, shoot and leave.

Cool little spot where you can shoot a few rounds for not too much money. $ 10 per booth for a half hour. You can bring your own ammo as long as it’s not on their restricted list. A box of 9mm’s will run ya $ 17 and targets are less than a dollar a piece. Obviously, eyes and ears at all times on the range.
Not sure if they rent out guns, but they do service them. Service is pretty cheap too. Follow the rules and you’ll have a fun, safe time. I broke the no rapid firing rule by mistake today, but luckily the staff gave me a warning instead of kicking me out.

The Bullet Hole is a cool little place. If you did not know this place was here you would drive y it without giving it a second thought.
I was in area for work but also made time to visit friends and family. A friend challenged me to a little shooting competition and I accepted. The only problem was that neither of us had a firearm to shoot. I usually have my firearm with me at all times in California but hardly ever take it take it with me when I travel.
We arrived at the Bullet Hole and once I presented my retired Police I.D. they were more than happy to help us. The staff here hooked us up with a Berretta 92-​FS, ammo & eye/​hearing protection. We walked into the range and were able to fire off as many rounds as we liked, we arrived when the doors opened, no lines, no people waiting for us to get off the range, no drama.
We had a good olé time and as for the challenge itself it was never a challenge I destroyed my friend and he ended up buying lunch & dinner.
The next time I am in the area I will without question come back here to pop off a few rounds.
My local firing range in Los Angeles is the LAX firing range where you can extend you target out to 75 yards, here at the Bullet Hole it is a little shorter. At LAX firing range you can firearm slugs, rifle round, you name it you can probably fire it. At the Bullet Hole you have a few restrictions.
Both at LAX firing range at the Bullet Hole you can purchase firearms.
Please remember these basic four rules when handling a firearm:
1. All firearms are always loaded.
2. Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are aligned and you intend to shoot.
3. Never point a firearm at anything you are not willing to destroy.
Be sure of your target.
4. Be sure of your target.
