I saw Angela today and my botanical facial was great. So relaxing and my skin looks and feels wonderful. If I lived in Nashville, I would be a regular client!

Two friends and I planned a girls weekend to Nashville and chose to have a few services at Kiva. We all had massages; one had a mani-​pedi, one a mud wrap and one a facial. We all enjoyed each service. Todd and Iva were both skilled massage therapists. Donna performed my facial (the best I’ve ever had — a glycolic) and my friends mud wrap. She was great. My other friend was very pleased with her mani-​pedi. My only complaint is, I wish they had a third massage therapist so we all could have had treatments at the same time; but that’s minor. Since we were there a while we had lunch which they cater from a nearby place. They offer salads and sandwiches which were reasonably priced. The atmosphere of the spa was exactly what I would expect; very relaxing. All and all we were all very pleased and wish we lived closer to go more frequently. Highly recommend.

First time here, TODD was AMAZING. Place isn’t fancy but the massage was incredible. Definitely coming back.

My mom and I went to Kiva for a mother daughter spa date three days before my wedding! The spa is amazing. I had a full body facial and my mom had a facial. I had no complaints! It was so perfect and so relaxing. My mom loved her facial! Her only complaint was getting an extra charge for a brow tint which she never asked for.
We also had spa manicures and pedicures. They were okay. Could’ve had better manicures and pedicures at a regular nail salon.
Overall, great spa!!! We will be returning!!!

Treat Yo’Se’f 2014!
I needed to treat myself. I’d been working hard, running around and not paying attention to my greater good. I committed to taking a day just for myself: no emails, no phone calls, no people, and very little talking. I just wanted to get lost in me.*
So, after doing some research, I decided a trip to Belle Meade was just what I needed to start the day off right. I walked in and got situated without issue. I was escorted to a back lounge to fill out paperwork and verify what I was in for. The room was under some slight construction and I could hear street noise. It’s not a big deal but it wasn’t the meadow oasis I was hoping for. After getting the paperwork squared away, I was given the lay of the land and how my day would work.
I started my treating by taking a hot steam shower. It was fantastic. It was just me. The room wasn’t too large but it was large enough. It had a locker for my street clothes, a comfy robe to slip in to, slippers, water, and privacy. After I got the handle (hyuck) on how to work the heat, I slid into blissful warmth, steam and quiet. I sweated out my impurities and made my way to first first treatment. I was getting a facial. I’d never had one before but I figured that there was no time like the present to keep a strong grip on my youthful glow. Black may not crack but I don’t want it to crease/​bend either. Wendy was my esthetician and she was wonderful. She slathered cream on my face, massage me, gave me all sorts of hot towels, lotioned me up, cleaned me out, and complimented me on how smooth and clean my face was/​is. I’ve said time and again, if you compliment my pretty, I am all yours. I giggled knowingly and lay there for a second. I just wanted to keep taking in the relaxation. Facials are what’s up. I’m a fan!
Much too quickly, my time with Wendy was over and I was led to the lounge to wait for my next treatment. Between this and the back lounge is where Kiva loses the stars. The sitting area is mixed, male/​female and while I waited in my robe, there was another, female, client waiting in her street clothes. Had I not been so relaxed (and without any —-s to give), I might have been uncomfortable. As it was, I sipped my water and tried to stay in the moment. If Kiva can fix this portion of the spa experience, I think there’s little room for complaint. Before I could get too out of my zen, Iva came to scoop me up and start my massage. As I mentioned up top, before coming to Kiva, I was stressed, tense and overworked. Iva took fantastic care of me and really worked me out. She could feel my tension and which side of my body I favored so she worked hard at not only massaging it away but balancing me out as best she could. From head to toe, she made me feel like a new man. Why don’t I get massages and facials more often? Once the next episode begins, this will change.
I was beyond pleased with the quality of my services at Kiva. Wendy and Iva are not to be missed. At $ 150, the Kiva Escape (steam, facial and massage) is a terrific bargain and well worth the time/​money expenditure. Again, change the lounge/​sitting room experience and I think there’s little with which to find fault.

I have been a client at Kiva on and off for many years. Dick and Kathy have a great operation and have the most talented people in the business. Brenda at the front is ABSOLUTELY THE BEST and will work with your schedule if she possibly can — she always my go-​to person.
For a massage, you can’t do any better than Todd — he is knowledgeable, and I always leave after one of his massages with all the kinks and stress worked out. I have a deteriorated disc in my neck and this really helps.
For a facial or waxing Wendy is the awesome! I have sent several people to her and EVERYONE has been very pleased and have gone back again and again.
Kiva is a premier salon and spa — so glad to have them close!

I went to Kiva for a tad bit of relaxation. I was really stressed out and I wanted to do something nice for me. If it sounds selfish, it totally was, but it was totally worth it.
I went for the Kiva escape with was an herbal steam shower, facial, and massage for $ 150. I was there for over three hours, was taken very good care of, and I would say this was a great value.
I really enjoyed the steam shower– not for the hot beautiful steam– but for the fact it forced me to be by myself, without TV, music or a cell phone. I could have stayed in there for a long time.
The facial was relaxing and all the products smelled really good and I was glowing by the end of it. Todd went to work on my back (I have terrible shoulders) and after a ton of effort finally straightened me out. He is my hero.
While Kiva isn’t as «fancy» as some other west side spas, it provides excellent services with talented and friendly staff.

I was desperately needing a massage today and luckily stumbled upon Kiva. So thankful I did because I had the BEST MASSAGE OF MY LIFE. Iva Montgomery was my massage therapist and she is the nicest, sweetest, most thorough, isn’t rushed, and was so kind to me. I will absolutely be going back and seeing her! Plus the spa has really cute boutique items– bonus perk.

I moved to Nashville about a year ago, and I actually chose this place because it was close to my apartment and had pretty good reviews. I have been extremely happy with my experiences there!
I get my hair cut and colored here, and I have always left VERY pleased!
I’ve always had good luck getting in when I need to, and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. I was going to Nicole at first, but she had to take off time for maternity leave. So, they switched me to Daleigh when they knew Nicole would be out.
I was nervous at first switching after Nicole had gotten to know my hair and what I like, but I loved Daleigh just mas much! Both of these ladies are GREAT with color and make sure to give you what you want.
I haven’t tried any of the spa services yet, but I would love to try them in the future.
P. S. The prices are really good too! (A cut/​color for me runs about $ 100-​$ 115)

This place has it all! Love my stylist, Lauren — my color and highlights are so natural. The spa is wonderful. Harmon and Angela are the best for facial’s and waxing. Todd is the absoslute best for a massage. I travel coast to coast and cannot find a better facial or massage that compares to Kiva. The boutique in the lobby is a sweet treasure and the staff is so friendly.

I was so excited to get my hair done here, but I had a really, really bad experience. I was new to Nashville, and I thought a place this fancy would be sure to do a good job on my fine blonde hair.
Unfortunately, when I told the stylist working on me that I was a musician, she decided (WITHOUT TELLING OR ASKING ME) to «go in a different direction.» As she put it.
All I wanted was to continue with my current light blonde color that my stylist in L.A. had given. My stylist & I were in a happy long-​term stylist relationship, but I had to leave CA for my career. I miss you, Emily! :(
I was vulnerable, and this biznatch took advantage!
All of the sudden, I am looking at ½ inch dark blonde stripes (omg, how suburban) down the center of my head. She had done this late 90’s dark stripe thing on me «Because you’re a musician, so I figured you’d enjoy taking a risk.»
I have a mom-​friend in Wisconsin who thinks she’s still really hip who will not let go of the tiger-​stripes. What the eff? Is this some redneck thing?
BEYOTCH DID I TELL YOU I WANTED TO LOOK LIKE TONY THE TIGER?
EFF to the uh, nooo.
She then ARGUED with me, saying «Blondes are becoming more directional this fall… blah blah bs blah blah… «
I looked at her and said «Take. Those. Stripes. Out. NOW. Give me the color I asked for when I walked in here.»
Then she charged me about $ 118.00 or something. Like an IDIOT from the planet No Self-​Esteem-​ville, I paid it.
The receptionist told me «Have a nice daaaeeeeeY» and I just glared at her.
I see myself in Feria now. Get lots of compliments on it, too.
I’ve given up on finding hairdresser love again. Sigh. Did you know Louis Licari, the famed colorist, recommends Feria as well? Good enough for me. No more trauma.
So sad. Cause I was really wanting to like this place. I love going to salons, but there you go.

Jana is the best! She saw me right away & gave me the most awesome cut… this place is very nice but not pretentious at all! just quality stylists with lots of experience is all i saw. i am impressed!

I have very fine, straight, thin hair. Finding someone to cut my hair is quite a struggle for me. If a stylist is too ambitious I walk out looking like I have no hair.
I made 4 appointments at 4 other salons over the last few weeks and cancelled every one of them. Fear got to me. Seriously. If you have hair like mine you’d understand that.
I was greeted by a friendly receptionist that called Tony on the phone and said he’d be right with me. I waited maybe 5 minutes.
Tony introduced himself, talked to me about my hair, and showed me to the shampoo station. A nice woman about my age washed my hair and showed me back to Tony’s station.
That was a quick and good cut. While he was cutting my hair, he gave me several tips on how to achieve more volume and suggested a couple of products.
NOT PUSHY– suggested.
I bought both products, tipped the shampoo woman, paid Tony, added a tip for him, and left happy.
I like my cut and love the products. I spent less than $ 200.00
TOTAL.
I was happy overall, but I’m still searching for my stylist. (and very glad I don’t have to wear a hat until my hair grows out.)

The sign for Kiva is pretty non descript, and it looks like it could be anything from a Mexican restaurant to, well, I guess a hair salon from the outside. I went in for the blow out special where they have a banner advertising $ 35 for a shampoo and basic blowouts on a walk in basis.
This kind of thing is really big in Miami (not that I’m THAT cosmopolitan, but was there recently on a trip and these salons were as popular as manicure joints), but this is the first one I’ve seen in NashVegas.
Getting in on a Saturday was remarkably easy and the receptionist was very sweet. i was sort of waiting for them to try to up-​sell me/​convince me that since I have crazy thick hair it wasn’t really going to be $ 35. While they offered additional flat ironing and circling, it wasn’t at all pressure filled and I definitely got my money’s worth. You can get discounts if you book every week for a month but for folks like me who just need their hair to look normal fast and don’t want to break their own arm blowing out their hair, this is the place is clean, friendly and a great deal. Especially if you don’t tip. I’m kidding. I was just trying to see if you were going to read the whole review. Tip them.

I made an appointment here on a whim during pregnancy, when my hair was looking more and more like a lion’s mane every day. Don’t get me wrong, I love big, fluffy hair, but I needed a cut.
From a random list of hairdressers, I chose Jana, and when I went in for my appointment, I was pleasantly welcomed with smiles even though I’m sure I looked like crap. I went in feeling disheveled and frizzy, and she listened to my comments about what I wanted and. gave it to me. I arrived with boring, single-​length, frizzy, curly hair and exited with layered, bouncy, full, smooth, straight locks. Anyone can cut hair, but it takes a real hairstylist to listen to a customer and give her exactly what she wants, even if she can’t express it in «industry» terms. I made another appointment on the spot and haven’t been anywhere else since. I can’t wait until I pop this baby out and can schedule myself a whole afternoon of relaxation, including an eyebrow wax and massage. Then I’ll write another review.
