Is Too expensive and the place is dirty Note They just accept cash or checks. Finally it took them 5 days to have my clothes ready

Their rates are ridiculous and they are not clear about it until the service is done. They don’t accept cards and charge 30% ‘environmental’ fee. They charged $ 8(6+2) for each of my tie that still have smudges. You should be able to find a more competitive service.

Overpriced and crappy service– what more could you ask for?! My husband took in some shirts and one came back with a coffee mug/ring stain on it(thanks for using the shirt as a coaster). We don’t drink coffee/tea so we know it didn’t come from us. Took it back, they didn’t fix it or offer to pay anything for the damaged shirt. Anywhere else would be better than this place.

Terrible customer service. I took a women’s shirt to be dry cleaned. After paying almost $ 5 for it got it home and it had shrunken significantly. Went to confront the owner, even to an exact shirt to compare the size difference. He never admitted the mistake and was unwilling to make amends. I went back 3 times to clear it up(the 1st time he insisted I bring in the same shirt, the 2nd he was out and the clerk could do nothing, the 3rd time he insisted that it did not shrink and did not even acknowledge the size difference). I have better things to do with my time, but believe the shop was in the wrong. Bad bad business ethics if you ask me. I do not trust any business that won’t even take credit cards. Shame on you Ronnie.

Reliable but paid $ 4 per shirt and $ 5 per pair of trousers. Too expensive.

Took my white wool coat that had a few black smudges(looked like I rubbed too close to a dirty car or something) to this dry cleaners. They charged me over $ 20 for the one item and when I got it back, the smudges are still there(though less obvious) and the coat smelled bad with some chemically odor. It was a waste of my money because I’m finding a different place to take my coat to get the smudges out.

I am new to the area and am happy to pay for good dry cleaning. I was encouraged by the good reviews of this business and dropped off a silk shirt and wool trousers for cleaning. The trousers looked great and they even got out a black smudge mark but when I got it home I discovered multiple areas of discoloration on the front and back of the shirt. I took it back and after waiting two days to hear back from the manager I had to call only to be told that this was due to perspiration, which seems odd considering that there were no stains in the underarms. The manager was rude and the customer service overall lacking. I am sorry to have to continue my search for a dry cleaner I loved as much as the one in my old city.

the clothes look fine but the charged an «Environmental Fee’ of 15% on everything and claimed it was a government charge. Total BS so I’ll never go back. Also I think they might be gaming the reviews…

Ronnie is the best! I have been looking for a dry cleaner for the 11 years we have lived here and I finally found Ronnie a year a ago. The best find yet! He is very professional and my husbands shirts always look perfect. Ronnie makes Houston feel like a small town because he always remembers my name. Thanks!

I have been going to A-1 Dry Cleaners for more than a year and I’m extremely impressed. They do a great job with all my husband’s shirts and his suits as well as all the women’s clothes I take in. The dry cleaning is meticulous – they are very careful to remove stains and if they can’t get them out, they tell you. I love the way they fold the men’s shirts on hangers with the sleeves crossed over the front of the shirts in front. It keeps them from folding up and getting wrinkled when they are left to hang on the side – like most cleaners hang shirts. There was a complaints about pricing but I used to go to another cleaners in River Oaks and they were three times as expensive – once charging me $ 35 to clean one dress. A-! is reasonably priced as far as I’m concerned and the owner does all the washing, cleaning, and pressing on-site. How often do you see that! Can’t lose your clothes that way. I have had only two complaints in the past year or so, and that is they have a few times failed to pressed down the hems of my pants, which sometimes curl, depending on the shoes I’m wearing. I’ve had to ask them to pay special attention to this. Also, I’ve taken in a couple of tops which have beading on the front and they have told me they cannot clean these tops. Their equipment would melt the beading. I’m glad they told me but it means I have to take these tops somewhere else, which is never fun trying to find another cleaners who can do these types of tops that you can trust.

So I just moved to the neighborhood and checked out the reviews for the best place to call my new dry cleaning home. A-1 had incredible reviews so I hauled a giant bag of dry cleaning over(that had built up during the move to Bellaire). I had sixteen pieces — nothing unusual — four pairs of pants, three blouses, a couple of jackets, a men’s coat, a dress, three skirts, and two ties. I took the 25% off coupon I found online(thank god). Ronak was very pleasant and helpful. When I went to pick up the dry cleaning, my bill was $ 74 — and that’s with the 25% off! It would have been $ 100 for 16 items without it! I just paid and walked out in sticker shock. In the car I checked the receipt — $ 5 to clean a tie? $ 7 to clean a men’s coat? $ 6 for a women’s jacket? $ 9.50 to clean a dress? $ 4 each for the pants, blouses, and skirts? Jees! I just about passed out. Now, when I got home and unpacked all the cleaning, I must say I was impressed. Everything was clean and ironed to perfection. They use nice hangers and even have real hangers for the skirts — not just safety pins. They had marked an old stain that never comes out. The work was meticulous. You get what you paid for. But, you see, that’s the problem. I just wanted it to be good enough. I want $ 2 dry cleaning with crappy hangers and uneven creases. So if you are looking for«just good enough» at a cheap price, then this is not the place to go. If you have quality clothes that need a quality cleaning, then head on over — just be prepared to pay for what you get.

I think someone is cheating with the reviews this place gets on google maps. I went here when I first moved to TX because I lived close by and they have a few problems. Pros: Some of your clothes are clean Cons: Some of your clothers aren’t clean, some of them are lost, and it costs a lot.

a-1. aptly named. Reliable, economical, friendly. I’ve been going here more than 10 years. You should, too.
