We opened in downtown Belfast November 2009. In March 2011, we returned to «Bowen’s corner» on rt 7 & 137.

Fantastic breakfast, one of my favorite spots to nurse a hangover. Service is quick and the food is great, biscuits and gravy is amazing. Although this is a tavern it’s known for its breakfast. If you’re in area and looking for a good Bloody Mary and classic diner breakfast check out Bowens.

Although a bit out of town, Bowen’s is as Maine as it gets. If Belfast is trendy, Bowen’s is as steadfast as Fort Knox. There are no edible flowers garnishing the old favorites like homemade corned beef hash, nicely cooked omelets and grilled biscuits. This is the place to meet neighbors and real rural Mainers who put food in front of fashion and who want a comfortable, familiar ambience and a Bowen keeping their coffee cup full. Nestle into a booth, order up, and you’re good until suppertime.
