History
Established in 1982.
The US Taekwondo Academy was founded by Grand Master Se Yong Chang in Brunswick, Maryland. He established his headquarter school in Baltimore and his philosophical teachings have grown to many locations.
With two schools in Bel Air and also teaching at the Johns Hopkins University, Grand Master Chang’s proteges, Master CJ and Master Jennifer, have continued the legacy of excellence passed down by their father. Both being former US National champions and producing champions in both the classroom and family setting to the US National level competition, the US Taekwondo Academy has become the face of Taekwondo in Maryland.
With all Governors and former Governors of Maryland Martin O’Malley, Robert Erlich, Paris Glendening receiving their black belts from the US Taekwondo Academy to the award winning programs implemented here, the US Taekwondo Academy is very excited to help you grow into a Martial Artist and/or Olympic Athlete!
