My son and I were served a burnt pizza, and I mean burnt! I do understand that mistakes happen, but why did the cook send this out of the kitchen and why did the server deliver it? I was actually a little insulted. There is so much more I could say about our experience but I believe this picture says it all!

In town for business and decided to try this place for dinner. I don’t usually write Unilocal reviews but felt obligated to warn people about the food here. The food was bad. Bad enough for me to spend some time writing a review. I ordered angel hair with alfredo and meatballs. The pasta was good but the sauce was like no other alfredo sauce I’ve ever had, and not in a good way. It was really thin and had almost no taste. The meatballs I got tasted like large versions of the meatballs that come in a can of Spaghettios. I’m not saying that to try and be funny, they really did taste the same. The atmosphere was nice and the service was good, but I could have gotten a can of spaghetti at the super market and had about the same meal. The super market would have only set me back a couple of bucks rather than the $ 24 I paid here.

I got some sort of flatbread when I went, and it was bland. Another chain Italian place.

I have been to this location several times, although my review references my most recent visit tonight(have not been here for quite some time). My fiancé ordered the tortellini and I ordered a large Margherita pizza. Both were exquisite. The only complaint that I have was my cocktail– I ordered their new pineapple mojito. It was an interesting drink… let’s just say that the bartender was quite generous with the rum. If it hadn’t been as strong, perhaps I would have enjoyed it a bit more. All in all, a good visit with an attentive server and great food.

Delicious!!! The bread rolls with oil were very good, although I wish I had tried the garlic knots. We split the baked tortellini and a silano pizza. Both were so tasty! The sauce on the tortellini was so creamy and rich. And the lemon accent on the pizza really made it perfection!

Why is this such a successful place??? Pros: * substantial dinner salad with a nice assortment of veggies * excellent house red wine * excellent service Cons: * Almost everything in this place comes with meat, no pasta primavera, no marinara. One dish for a vegetarian(baked eggplant), nothing for a vegan. * I had the baked eggplant with no cheese which was just eh, but worse. . * It came with a side of spaghetti with the most ho-hum spaghetti sauce I’ve had in a long time. I always judge an Italian restaurant by its spaghetti sauce, and this place is a looser. Did this liquid-y stuff come out of a can? * Some people like the little hard white dough balls that come with a plate of olive oil. White bread and olive oil? Argh! Let’s get stopped up why don’t we? Very unhealthy. — So back to my original question, i.e. why the heck does this place draw a crowd?

The customer service is great, the staff there is wonderful. When I am in town it a MUST for me to eat here. Then the hot rolls w/oil and spice(guilty pleasure), then the appetizers are seasoned just right and a must have!(brick oven wings, meatballs, artichoke and spinach deep w/freshly fried pita chips, ceaser salad… I could keep going but you gotta try them yourself! Then the entrees… no joke… we haven’t had a bad choice yet. Then I found my favorite pizza– THEE Bertucci’s Silano Pizza… I didn’t want a red sauce so the waitresses suggested this-it was the best suggestion ever and she knew the menu and she was listening. I thought it was a little plain(1st order) so added shrimp and raw onions to it…(3th order) I added Shrimp, Caramelized Onions and Spinach and it was soooo good. I think we inhaled our slices and packed the rest for dinner/lunch. .who knows midnight snack. This is a great first date, family, couples. .everyone– its welcoming. The brick oven is EVERYTHING, please don’t change a thing! They have carry out too but eating in is sooo worth it! Don’t miss out the atmosphere– its wonderful

typically this place is decent but seems to be on the decline. From service to food quality. They still offer the Bertucci’s staples but new items are a real miss. I tried their featured shrimp and lobster risotto and it was very much sub par. No creaminess or smoothness, just tasted like rice with some frozen shrimp thrown in. What lobster was in the dish was hacked to pieces. Not what you expect for an $ 18 bowl of risotto. The night we were there 3÷6÷15 a Friday night, they were under staffed and therefore left empty tables with a large line of people. I was very suprised. I cut them some slack with slow service bc of that fact but someone really dropped the ball. I hope this place bounces back to the fun family friendly place it was when I was a kid.

Ok Bertucci Where is the minus zero stars?! Let’s start off with all the youngins playing and having a good time when are suppose to be seating ppl. I should have known something was wrong when 2 families walked out while waiting to be seated. After being seated there were no silverware on the table. The waitress who waited on us basically didn’t have a clue or knowledge of the menu. She got smart when we asked for a pizza and gave us this look like ok DUH you want a pizza but what kind YOUDUMMYLOOK. You talk about holding in what you want to say when it needs to be said WHEWWWW !!! Ok so this salad came out and it looked like it was just sitting back there in the freezer. Ok sooo the salad look terrible but guess what… the brilliant waitress asked if we was ok and NOOOOOSILVERWAREDUMMY. How can I eat this salad… I think that says enough. Oh and the oil she brought out for the bread to be dipped in, she spilled it, took the napkin that she wiped it up with and wiped her forehead with it! It’s like, she was on something. Look, I’m not making this up, this was my first time here and it will be the last time I come to this one.

Love the food here. Rolls are to die for. Carry-out times are long and inconvenient. A 45 minute wait for carry out is ridiculous.

I live in south Phila… I know Italian. The froccacia Italian sandwich was unbelievably good… froccacia crisp and toasty… aoile tasty… meats good… I could eat these all day! Sausage soup and salad are good… but the Francisco’s delecto Italian was exceptional

Maybe it’s just this location, but yikes! The service was decent… when it came around, that is. The salad wasn’t very fresh and the summer shandy I ordered was skunk(completely flat and disgusting tasting). The personal pizza I ordered left a less than impressive impression, as well. Just an all around disappointment. Not coming back here, that’s for sure. I’ll stick to the one in Whitemarsh.

My husband, 2 year old and I walked right in on a Saturday night around 7:30(Maybe I should have taken a clue?). They have pizza dough«play-doh» which was really cute. My daughter had spaghetti & meatballs which was terrible, my husband had the jambalaya which had some funny spices but wasn’t horrible, and I had the lobster and shrimp risotto. Everything was edible but just not great. The best thing about the visit was the free rolls! The waitress and hostesses were really nice also. For $ 60 with no alcohol, I would spend my money somewhere else.

I took my daughters out for a quick dinner date and our evening was ok… The pizza was ok. I ordered the lobster Cobb salad and it should have been ok. The dressing that is served with the salad, a lemon thyme(I think) vinaigrette doesn’t quite fit the salad. I asked for blue cheese to replace it. I’m glad that I asked for the dressing on the side. I don’t eat pork bacon so I didn’t have that on the Cobb salad and I think that was the salty taste that was missing. I guess all these things were just personal preference but the only try complaint that I had about our meal is that the red onion that was served on the salad was not fresh at all. They seemed pickled almost. And though I should have said something, I didn’t. I just picked them out. But our waitress was friendly and did a good job. It was a so so meal. Nothing to rave over and nothing major to complain about either.

I often coordinate work luncheons for the great group of folks I work with on Aberdeen Proving Ground(APG) in Edgewood, Maryland. As Department of the Army employees, we are always appreciative and a bit saddened when one of our Soldiers receives orders to leave our installation and we get together for a final farewell. We did just that and had a great luncheon at your Bel Air location a few months back with approximately 50 – 60 guests, and we were able to present the Sergeant First Class with awards and gifts as he was leaving APG. The food, service, and costs were great and we were in and out under two hours. We were able to honor a Soldier and had a nice time. The private dining area was not available for our group and the manager accommodated us by setting up tables in the back half of the dining room, which is somewhat separated from the rest with a half wall partition and booths. It was perfect. I called the Bel Air location this morning in hopes of setting up another farewell luncheon. I was told the private area was booked and that the manager, Michael, said we could not use the main dining room because they received complaints from a few other customers last time we were there over the noise of presenting gifts/awards and the clapping. To reiterate, Michael turned us away because of a few other tables complaining that 50 guests were clapping for a Soldier in the United States Army. This particular Soldier has been deployed numerous times to Iraq and Afghanistan, fighting for our country, while spending copious amounts of time away from his little girl. We are angry, frustrated, and mostly hurt that we as a large group of(former) patrons of your restaurant were turned away because of complaints received while honoring a Soldier. This is inexcusable and should be addressed with your Bel Air management ASAP. We are proud of our men and women in uniform and will be sure to make all future arrangements for luncheons at establishments that share our gratitude.

Waitress great Lexi rocks. Had a half an hour for lunch and she made it happen with apps wine salad and a meal. Food was hotter than hell but good Now can someone clean please. I would have given five stars if the dust wasn’t inches thick on lights and chairs

I went to Bertucci’s for lunch today and it was my first and last time. My friend and I were extra hungry so we decided to order off the dinner menu. The dinner portion for pasta was pretty pathetic. We thought there was a mistake so we asked the manager and they explained that the lunch portion was about HALF of that! My chicken fettuccine alfredo was extremely bland, just tasted like dry buttered noodles. The only redeeming quality for this restaurant was its nice ambiance and lighting.

If you order online, you first order comes with $ 10 off We ordered two pizzas and a salad It came out to $ 12 I thought that was cool The food: The pizza was good It seemed to be healthy even though it was on the white dough The pepperoni and cheese were both great I didn’t care much for salad at the time but my companions said it was good The service: Good When we arrived they had everything ready They just had to go to the back to get the salad The only thing I was kinda let down by was they didn’t provide or even ask if we needed –plates –napkins –crushed peppers Not a biggie though, the food was yummy

What a fun family outing! After Post-Thanksgiving-Eating-Syndrome, we decided to eat out on Saturday night. Bertucci’s was a great idea, as our family includes kids, adults, vegetarians, and carnivores. For a party of 12(or any size) Bertucci’s will not accept a reservation, but they will accept a call-ahead. This means that you are providing the restaurant with the time of your expected arrival and number of guests. They, however, are not guaranteed to have a table waiting for you. Well, we got lucky. Upon arrival, there was a table for 12 ready for us, with a high chair, 4 kids crayons and coloring sheets, and 8 adult menus :). We had a great server who was incredibly attentive. I had the lobster ravioli with large chunks of lobster tail, and it was divine! I was fortunate enough to have leftovers to eat again later. Unfortunately, Hubby got the chicken marsala, cooked with asparagus and potatoes. He was less thrilled about his dish than I was. He said the potatoes were tasteless and the chicken was a bit chewier than it should have been. Barring all of that, we had a great experience with an extremely attentive waitress, which helped the experience. My last two thoughts on this subject are that you must order the cookie with ice cream and hte tiramisu. I would go back to Bertucci’s for these two things alone.
