Barnstormer Aero & Light Flight Hot Air Balloon Rides

Mike was good in picking up promptly. and it all took 3 hours with an hour of awesome flight with the hot air balloon. It was well organized and perfect outing for me n my mom with great weather in the morning and nice sceneries.
I would recommend this air gallon company to anyone looking to find in Maryland.

Mike was GREAT! Called on rainy Wednesday to schedule a Friday morn flight and Mike said «Cya at 11:30.» We ventured up from Edgewater, MD and directions were easy and simple. Weather was better then perfect, and Mike’s easy going personality certainly keeps you at ease. We took off from the grass runway, and immediately came upon 2 Bald Eagles. We did a quick dive to the left to give me a better view and it was awesome! Back up to 1200′ and a Blackhawk was just off our port side. Rode out over the Bay, Sassafras, Elk and Susquehanna Rivers with a close up view of the Turkey Point Lighthouse. Click, click, click went the camera! Mike gave me the signal to take the controls if I wanted, and I did for about 5 minutes before I handed them back over. I was totally content just taking in the view. Then Mike gave me the signal for a little roller coaster play and I gave him the thumbs up. TOO MUCH FUN! After 45 minutes we were back to the airfield and landed on the grass runway. Totally smooth landing and totally impressed. The only thing that could have made it any better would have been the trees further along in their colors… and maybe some peanuts!

I have now flown two times in both the hot air balloons and the open cockpit biplane. Words cannot begin to express either flight: they are each unique in their own way. They simply must be experienced! The calm serenity of the balloon flight is not to be missed and the rumble of the engine and view form the open cockpit is spectacular. I chose this company based on the recommendations of friends who had flown. i have to say that the glowing reports from them, not unlike all the other reviews here on Unilocal,were accurate. They make you feel like family and their level of professionalism and customer service is unparalleled. i highly recommend Barnstormer and Light Flight Balloons to anyone looking for fun. You owe it to yourself to try this once; then, like me, keep on coming back!

My partner and I took my mom up to Bel Air to surprise her with a flight. She has always wanted to do it so it was very exciting. I am so thankful that we made the trek up there as opposed to going other places nearer us (Montgomery County) as Mike is a true professional. We took the sunrise flight and it was phenomenal. We would definitely do it again but only with Mike.

This is an absolutely incredible experience! If you’re considering it, stop thinking about it and just do it. You only live once and this will be something you remember for the rest of your life. It makes a unique gift for any occasion or is just a fantastic way to treat yourself.
I’ve had the pleasure of riding with Mike in his hot air balloon and in his 1942 Stearman biplane. The views throughout Harford county are truly amazing and should not be missed! On top of enjoying the very peaceful and fun rides, Mike really takes the time to explain a lot about his aircrafts and aviation in general. Throughout the whole process I felt 100% safe. Mike and his crew make it very clear that safety is their #1 priority right before making sure you have the time of your life.

Took a Hot Air Balloon ride with Light Flight today. This is the absolute BEST experience you can have for a birthday, anniversary, or just because you want to have a great day. Mike the pilot is the nicest person I have ever very skilled and so funny. Plus he is so caring, explains everything. He pointed out all the lush beautiful scenery as we floated wonderfully over Maryland. It was so peaceful. I felt so safe and was so awe struck that for most of the ride all I could say was «wow, this is so beautiful». You owe it to yourself to give yourself this experience. Mike and his crew treat you like family. I am a big girl and they helped me in and out of the basket like true gentlemen. While I was in the air, I felt as light as a feather.
