Ted’s Feed Store

I just dropped by Ted’s this afternoon. For whatever reason, I thought it was going to be a livestock feed store. I’m from small town Indiana, so I guess when I hear «feed store,» that’s what comes to mind. But, they actually sell mostly pet food! There are lots of great specialty brands of cat and dog food, treats, cat litter, bird cages, wild bird seed, accessories, etc. at Ted’s. If you live in Beech Grove and don’t want to drive all the way to a PetSmart or PetCo location, and want to support a local business instead, I recommend checking out Ted’s!
I went to Ted’s today to stock up on some front porch fall décor because my pumpkins were looking a little lonely. I came home with a nice bale of straw for the pumpkins to sit atop, as well as a beautiful yellow mum! The best part was that both only cost $ 11. I was very pleased because the mum is HUGE and at $ 4.99, it seemed like it cost a lot less than what they are sold for elsewhere.
I think Ted’s is a family-​owned store and the employees that were working when I stopped by were very polite and helpful. One of them even loaded the straw and mum into my car for me. Ted’s seems like a great business, and I will definitely be back to buy dog and cat food!
