If you are looking for minor burns and a bunch of lip from management about nail color choice, this is the salon for you! My girlfriend purchased a Groupon for the two of us as a gift for babysitting the weekend before, and the first part of our relaxing experience was the molten lava foot bath. The water was so hot that I couldn’t keep my feet in the water for fear my skin might melt off. That was topped off with an excruciating towel wrap, that I didn’t say anything about because I tend to be a little sensitive sometimes. However, the look on my friend’s face quickly indicated that her towel was close to busting into flames as well.
I have a bruise growing out on one of my toe nails, so when it came time to polish, I asked if they could paint a white undercoat to help conceal the bruise (I picked a light color, because that is what I normally wear. I have had this done at other salons and it works perfectly fine.). When she asked me how I wanted her to do this, I began to explain and the man sitting next to her (presumably a manager of some sort), interrupted and said «No, just on the ugly one.» She attempted to do this with no success, so he took over; telling me I needed to pick a darker color. I did so, without hesitation, and he proceeded to paint the toe nails. .. while proclaiming, «much better,» over and over again. After a while, I couldn’t tell which hurt more, the pedicure or the embarrassment. Meanwhile a new guest walks in and just before plunging her feet into the bath, asks if the murky water is from another guest. She said she could see stuff floating in it and the water was cold.
I’ve now advanced to the torture-​by-​manicure portion of my interrogation (although I’m still in the pedicure chair), and think to myself, Hmmm, I haven’t seen them sanitize any of the foot baths after use and these nail files are not brand new.” My friend said her nail file looked very worn down also and I’m pretty sure that they were disposable files that cannot be sanitized. They clipped my nails slightly, filed them, then painted. No water soak, No massage, nothing but a slight clip and paint. The whole service, start to finish, was about 45 minutes. I am in the industry myself so I know the standards and I don’t expect high quality at these kind of salons, but I do expect cleanliness and sanitation. I might even report them to the health department…

It seems like they were in a rebuilding phase. The new manager kept asking me to review her workers. The waxer kept whipping my head around to get to my eye brows. I will pass on going back here. I walked by here shortly after this and it looks like they closed down.

Nice atmosphere and clean place, but purchase a buy with me deal, and it wasn’t worth it, especially since it isn’t close to my house… Spa manicure and pedicure? She didn’t even soak my hands for the manicure… started with rubbing lotion on my arms for like a minute, then «filed» unevenly… the polish job missed parts of my nail that were obvious and I had to go that way to a Valentine’s party because I didn’t have time to fix it. She spent very little time on my feet… I will say the hot towel mask was SUPER nice!
I would stick closer to home next time though

I purchased a Moolala deal for a 1-​hr massage, 1-​hr facial, and deluxe pedicure for $ 100 back in July. I’d been putting off using the coupon due to the horrific reviews here on Unilocal.The coupon was due to expire, so I decided to give the spa a shot instead of let my money go to waste. I had extremely low expectations — in fact, I was speculating what they’d screw up as I made the drive…
I am happy to say that my experience was much better than the other reviewers! My male massage therapist was professional, competent… and fairly easy on the eyes, heh. The women who performed my facial gave me a nice massage and pampered my skin. I asked for extractions, and was not charged extra even though they weren’t included in the standard facial. The pedicure was also up to par. Overall it was well worth the $ 100!
Now, with that said, there were a few things that could be improved upon. I was pleased with the service given the Moolala deal, but I would not have paid their full prices for several reasons:
1. I was not told ahead of time that I was scheduled to see a male massage therapist. While I am OK with a strange man touching my naked body, other women may not be. The customer should be informed ahead of time if the massage therapist is a man or woman
2. The pedicure could have been better if CNN had not been playing right next to me. While the gentleman doing my pedicure did a fine job, I could tell he was more into the TV than pampering my feet
3. The woman doing my facial tried to end it after only 40 minutes. She did, however, keep going when I informed her that I paid for 60 minutes.
Overall, I’ve rated this place with 4 stars given the Moolala deal. I would rate them with 3 stars at their standard prices.

Just like the others, I purchased the deluxe mani pedi and it was bad bad bad. Not worth it. Not even with a deal.

Believe it — this place is as bad as the reviews. I received a Groupon as a gift here, otherwise I would have avoided it.
*They have terrible customer service
*After I had waited nearly half an hour, with my feet soaking in luke warm water, I said I wanted to come back tomorrow to finish. They proceeded to rush to finish instead, leaving me with jagged nails and toes.
*I had to instruct the guy how to use my polish (Muppet OPI) and he did a terrible job
*Left before they could paint my toes
*NOT a relaxing environment.
***Rinsed off a USED brush to use on my feet***
*Cashed my Groupon even though I was complaining
Avoid this place — there are so many other nail places in this area. This one needs new ownership or to close permanently. We have contacted Groupon to notify them and to ask for a refund.

The Groupon was a total waste. I don’t know what was delux about the mani/​pedi — I didn’t save a dime cause they didn’t do anything I don’t normally get for the same price — they actually did less — not even a hot towel. The day I was there the hot water heater wasn’t keeping up so they were heating water in the microwave and pouring it into the pedicure bowl. I was looking forward to a really over the top experience — a $ 65 mani/​pedi for $ 30 and all I got was a not very good normal $ 30 service.

I bought the Living Social for a spa mani/​pedi. I also dragged along my husband who got a manicure.
They mutilated my husband’s finger. It was bleeding pretty bad. We rushed home to get some neosporin on it.
My pedicure was decent. The woman took her time and it’s not half bad.
The manicure, on the other hand, is the worse I’ve received ever. The cuticles were cut too far, so it’s a bit sensitive the next day. And they look sloppy. Two days in and I already have some hangnails.
Plus, they did not bother to cut my very uneven nails to a uniform length. Some were really short, and others a good millimeter or two longer (yes, I was in major need of a manicure). They just filed it down a bit. I pointed this out, at which point they filed the long ones down a bit more. But then they applied the gel right over it without wiping it clean again. So there are some bumps under the polish. It’s shellac, so I’ll be stuck with for two weeks at least.

I received a mani/​pedi combo gift certificate as a gift for my birthday. I got online to see the location, and boy-​oh-​boy was I shocked by all these reviews. My Husband tried to make me feel better «The only people who actually take the time to provide a review usually dont have anything good to share.» Blah blah blah. Well, all the reviews are right. This place was a joke. I actually left after the pedi (1.5 hours later) telling them I had somewhere to be, when really I just couldnt stay there any longer. Also, they forgot about my mani. My nails shouldve been soaking during the pedi, and I actually inquired about it as she told me to sit under the drying lights for my toes. I asked «Where do I sit for my manicure?» She responded «Oh, you want manicure? We should have started that before!» Then she got all frazzled so I gave up and told them I would come back.
I will admit that the woman who did my pedi did a pretty good job clipping and trimming. But the paint job was horrible, I actually redid it when I got home. I enjoyed the 30 second massage and the scrub, she actually worked really hard on my heels which was a little embarassing. She really put some elbow grease into it. I saw the boy that a previous review commented on. He actually seemed like he was taking quite a long time on his client, although she was young and quite attractive so I couldnt blame him. LOL
Yes, there were flies. And the smell of seafood cooking somewhere in a breakroom was really offputting. As a matter of fact, I was sitting w/​a young girl and her mother at the drying station when the young girl started sniffing herself and said «Mom, I think I smell like shrimp!» I laughed and told her that No, I think it was coming from a back breakroom because I’d been smelling it for about 10 minutes. Funny, but not something that’s particularly relaxing as you would expect when you’re getting a mani/​pedi.
And…to top it off… as I was asking to have my gift certificate noted to be able to come back for a manicure that I was unable to get, the owner said «And don’t lose that. Lose that paper, Lose your manicure!» I know they don’t mean to be so abrupt in their manner of speaking, but I just had a horrible experience and could give two-sh*ts if I lose my manicure.
My advice: Dont do it, spend your money elswhere.
Follow-​Up: I decided to go back and get a manicure, afterall it had already been paid for. This time it was early (10am) and I was the first customer. Although it was a lot quieter I did notice quite a bit more. For instance, do they not have someone come in and clean at night? The drying station was a mess, really dusty, torn-​up magazines. The floor had sticky spots all over it, which meant no one swept/​mopped at the close of business the previous day? It just seems like once they all left the previous day no one bothered to close-​up shop. The previous days sign in sheet was still at the front counter, nailpolishes were not put back but left willy-​nilly all over the salon.
Word of advice to the owner: Hire a cleaning creq, or a high schooler who needs some extra cash to come dust and clean the floors. I felt dirtier when I left.
(FYI, I was charged $ 10 for my manicure even though I had a mani/​pedi gift certificate. It does say on the certificate not to be used separately, so really I am lucky they let me separate my mani/​pedi. I will give them that for good customer service)

Oh wow. I did not think it could possibly be as bad as the reviews so I foolishly bought the Eversave deal for a $ 15 pedicure. Came here and love the location, it is very beautiful but that’s my only positive comment unfortunately.
I was seated and the teenage boy who was answering the phones came to do my feet, I knew this was a bad start. He was very cute so I can’t be too mean about it, but I want to describe why it was not good. First of all, the «deluxe pedicure» had about 4 minutes total (both legs) of massage. If even. It did include a scrub, but the massage was too short. Then, he didn’t know how to cut the cuticle skin around the nails. As any pedi-​frequenter knows, you NEED them to do this for you, that’s why you come to a «specialist» and you don’t try to cut your toes off at home (lol). Basically, he did not know what he was doing and didn’t really cut anything, which is probably for the best since he had no idea what he was doing. So basically, I got a color change of polish. The few mins I did have of massage were great, but too brief. The paint job was shoddy, I noticed a couple spots where he «colored outside the lines» if you will.
Funniest part of the whole thing was someone actually got a WORSE experience than me while I was here. The lady next to me and myself were talking, she was very nice. I am not joking here: the lady doing HER pedicure answered the phone mid-​pedicure on her about 3 times. We had to both sit and listen to the owner/​employee give directions three times. There really should be one person designated for phones only. If you don’t have enough employees on hand, then don’t tell us to come in when we call!
So after this poor lady next to me basically waited and waited while the employee was on the phone, the employee lost the polish she chose! The lady had placed it right by her seat and somehow it vanished. At this point she was so frustrated she basically just said «Paint whatever color, seriously. I don’t care.»
Woah. Bad signs.
I tried to laugh it off, but after my pedicure I went to the area where you «air dry» your nails. I went to go spray the stuff that helps your nails dry quicker and one of the employees grabbed it from me and sprayed it herself… wow um… thanks? Except she covered my shoes in the shit and it was like I was walking in banana peels after my pedi.
Oh well. You win some you lose some.
Overall, I just can’t come back.

This place is awful. i bought the Groupon as a gift for my om and one for me… a nice spa mani/​pedi at a lower price. It’s not. It’s probably one of the worst manicures I’ve ever had. The pedicure was okay, more like a polish change that anything. No massage, barely heated towels, just nothing special. But the real horror came with the manicure. I upgraded to a shellac, which i love. Picked my color and off we went. To melty melty land. The manicurist took nearly 1.5 hours to do something that’s supposed to take about 15 minutes. She did a sloppy job and didn’t know how to properly cure the polish so it continually melted and made odd shapes on my nails. She tried to solve the problem by painting over the flaws… continually. Must have been three coats by the time she was done — felt like i had dimes stuck to my nails… AND THEY WOULDN’T DRY! We ran out of time because I had an appointment to get to, so they agreed I could come back the next day to have them redone. The manager just wanted to redo one nail, but i pointed out all the spots that had not cured properly and she said she would re-​paint. When i came in the next day, i just decided to have them remove the polish and buff my nails and get the hell out. This place is overpriced and the technicians don’t know their jobs. If you want to pay $ 63 for a spa mani/​pedi — go to Milk & Honey right around the corner. If you want a cheapo mani/​pedi — go to BK Nails on Bee Caves or Pro Nails at the HEB on Bee Cave/​71 — but don’t go to this place. Nothing NOTHING deluxe about their Deluxe Mani/​Pedi.

Don’t go here. I bought a Moolala deal for this place. One hour facial, one hour massage, and a deluxe pedicure for $ 99. I have never been so disappointed by an establishment before.
I did my «massage» first. And while I was still laying there, she did my facial too. The whole thing lasted about 50 minutes, for my massage and facial. The lady literally just put lotion on my body. You can tell she obviously had no training in massages at all. Oh and while I am laying there naked getting my «massage» someone walked in two different times and got something out of the room.
She also was very careless with my facial. My eyes were burning and red by the end of it because she didn’t bother keeping the facial products away from my eyes.
So when I walked out of my room, I walked up to the front to wait for my friend and the actual massage therapist introduced himself to me and said «Are you ready for your massage?» WHAT??? Who the heck was the other lady??? I was very upset. I just said I was not interested in the rest of my massage and I just wanted to get my pedicure and leave. The manager guy offered me a gift certificate for a 30 minute massage but I told him I was never coming back and that he could keep his gift certificate. I asked if he would just give me a manicure instead and he said yes. My pedicure and manicure were fine except for the fact that my nail polish peeled completely off after 1 day.
I would not recommend this place to anyone. I am very upset with what happened and this place does not need to be in business if this is how they conduct business. If your massage therapist is not there, making an untrained person do it is NOT an alternative.

Yup, GO ELSEWHERE! I agree with Megan M. that you would be better off giving yourself your own mani/​pedi!
Like some of these other ladies, I bought the Deluxe Mani/​Pedi combo, and this is hands down the worst manicure I’ve ever received. The cuticles are uneven and pointy in some places, the color is uneven, and it even looks chipped near the base of my nail.
The pedicure is very sub-​par though not as bad as the manicure. Only a couple toes are sloppy as compared to the entire thing. The truly unbelievable part is that the PEDICURIST GOT NAIL POLISH ON MY SHOE! I get pedicures fairly often, and this is the first place I’ve ever been that put my sandals on before putting on the polish. Maybe it’s standard some places but this was my first experience with doing it that way. I was doubtful and at the end of my pedicure, sure enough there was polish on my shoe. At first the lady was very defensive and denied it, but it was obvious– bright pink on a white sandal. She eventually admitted it but would not apologize. When I pointed it out to the manager, instead of apologizing, his comment was, «You can barely see it!»
The chair I sat in was dirty and spotted with grease and the arm rests where they did my pedicure were disgusting. I had to set my water bottle and magazine on a different chair because I didn’t want them to get oily.
I would honestly rather have not cashed in on my deal and eaten the money than go to this place.

I would rate zero just like the previous review. I just got back from a horrible experience at this SPA.. I bought a deal off Living Social for $ 30 Mani/Pedi.The lady I had was rude, didn’t speak at all, just would grab my foot or hand. She had to repaint my toe 3 times. The towels were so old and gross. This was definitely not deluxe pedicure compared to the place I usually go to. I’m so disappointed!!! Please beware don’t get a pedicure or manicure here. It was empty –no a good sign.

I would score this zero stars if it was an option. I bought a living social deal for the «deluxe pedi & mani», which is in the beautiful hill country galleria, so u can only assume it would be high class :
I was directed to a manicure station, sat down, held out my hands and she asked for my foot! What? Foot in lap, she filed my toenail polish with an electric filler… then took a cheese grater to my foot. I was beginning to wonder if this «$ 65 value» came with the foot spa and massage chair, so I inquired about the difference between a standard mani/​pedi & the deluxe. I was informed the deluxe included a hot towel. Oh. Mani took about 10 min; file, hot towel, cuticle trim & polish. No massage, no paraffin wrap, no nothing.
I was then told to go in the back where I met my friend and a scalding hot foot bath. I normally don’t complain, but it was burning me! She added more water but was still too hot. She hastily rubbed a scrub on my feet, slopped on a little mud and that was that.
Also, a special on dyslexia was playing loudly on the tv during our «relaxing treatment»
Totally awful, save yourself & run away!

Worst pedicure and manicure ever. First the lady doing my pedicure which was the spa one (the most expensive), took 15 mins from beginning to end. I’ve never had a spa or deluxe be so short. She barely touched my heels. I never got a foot massage or leg massage as I’m accustomed to at other places.
Then she was doing my french manicure but there was hairs in it from her towels, and the girl I was recieving my services from had horrible breath. I thought she was farting when I realized it was from when she talked and was breathing through her mouth. Ewww.
The place seems dingy and dirty too. I won’t go back. I suggest you don’t bother either.

I have been a loyal fan of this place for a long time. Their pedicure room was always cozy, amazing, tranquil. The chairs all work, you can actually read the controls for them, and the water is always HOT, which I like. The room was well-​lit, but not blinding, creating a perfect relaxing atmosphere. The service WAS always wonderful, friendly, accommodating and able to communicate with guests.
This past weekend, I was so excited to take my friend there.. . you can imagine how embarrassed I was when I lay out the scene for you. They had apparently added four long strips of fluorescent lighting to the already-​lit room (which is HORRIBLE for people who get migraines!). Of the 7 people working in the room, not a single one spoke a word of English. I mean, no big deal if we don’t have a long conversation — I’m there to relax anyway. But when I want my water hotter, or a towel to put over my lap because I’m in a skirt (last-​minute decision to go) or would like to let the lady know that I have a bad cut under one toe and please be careful? NO such luck. The one person who spoke English was scarcely seen as it had been a busy day for them.
OK, now I’m just getting myself all worked up over a stinkin’ pedicure, so I’ll stop. I want to say this, though.. . as a girl who has been a loyal fan since they opened, I was sad to see the total turnover in staff and the changes it brought to the quality of my experience. Don’t bother.. . there are plenty of other places with good chairs, and that’s the only thing this place has going for it anymore!

This place is beyond the definition of a sham. I, like a previous reviewer, purchased a living social deal. Mine was for a Brazilian wax, but after reading reviews I decided err on the side of caution and get a mani/​pedi. Yeah, that’s a sick joke. First and foremost, my feet were put in nothing but water. There was a minute of pumice, zero filing and overall the big deal was changing my polish. Now, my manicure was /​is so bad I’m going to another spa to fix it. I tried MULTIPLE times to communicate, but no one spoke English. They could take coupons and $$ but no requests to fix botched jobs. Finally, I gave up. In less than an hour I was shuffled out the door, literally. Mind you there were still 2 hours left for their business hours. I feel after 15 years of mani/​pedis this was without a doubt the worst one. I’m praying I do not get and infection from my cut cuticles! DO NOT GO HERE — save your $$.

I bought a living social deal for the brazilian and eyebrow wax. I will try not to be too graphic. First of all, usually when you get the brazilian wax done, they give you a modesty towel to cover up with when you get in the room. Nope, bare in the breeze. The older lady doing it was taking WAY bigger sections of hair out of a time than she should be, I felt like it was being rushed. This is NOT something that should be rushed. She also used an electric razor on me, which I highly doubt had been santized. Surprisingly enough, the waxing is not what hurt the worst. It was when she went back with the tweezers. They are insanely sharp, and she really dug in. I am actually getting pretty upset thinking about it now, because I have some mild scarring where she dug in. I have had these before, and I know thats not normal. When she did my eyebrows, same thing with the tweezers. I have a few spots under one eyelid where she dug in, and I have small red spots there and its very tender.
Oh did I mention she answered the phone twice to book an appointment and give directions while doing my brazilian wax? Twice. I tried to be quiet and not make any «ow» noises while she was on the phone… Now I wish I had yelled it loudly, so whoever was on the other end would think twice about coming here.
If you bought a living social coupon for here, please get a refund. I bought two to have this done, and I am definitely going to get it refunded. This is a very sensitive, delicate part of the body, and they should not have amateurs ripping away parts of skin along with the hair. I am going to take some pictures to document the extra scarring.
I am sad that my first review on Unilocal is about such poor service, but I really felt passionate about writing this, so hopefully women will read this and think twice about having their lady parts subjected to this kind of brutality.

Never, ever go to this salon:
I made an appt. for myself and both my daughters a week ago. I confirmed the appt. the day before.
When we arrived for our appt.(at 3pm) a few minutes late, due to traffic, the Spa had no technicians to work on us. They had given priority to three walk-​ins who had come a few minutes before us. They had one technician starting a pedicure for my one daughter, but myself and my oldest daughter were asked to sit in a pedicure chair with our feet soaking in water. 30 minutes later, we are still sitting with our feet soaking in water, now our feet are pruny. The technician doing the pedi for my second daughter is flying through her treatment, doing it all wrong, she was definitely NOT giving her the Spa pedicure I had prepaid for as a gift to myself and my two girls. I had to stop her and ask her if she was doing everything correctly, she tells me this is her first time, she forgot a few steps. Then she starts on her manicure, and my daughter had to stop her and show her what to do. The technician is apologizing saying that one of the technicians had a family emergency and had to leave, but what does that have to do with her doing a bad job, plus the two of us sitting in a pedicure chair with no one to wait on us?
My oldest daughter talks to the receptionist, he has no clue what to do. Everyone is ignoring us. However, the three walk-​in customers are getting a fabulous spa treatment, they started theirs at 3pm, and at 4pm, while they are just starting ours, theirs is still continuing.
They finally had a second technician show up at to take care of us, then they had two of their staff working on myself and my daughter, but what a rush job! No soaking our nails in soapy water, just a quick buff and polish and out the door. Then one of the technicians drops a bottle of polish right near where my youngest daughter is sitting, near the drying station. The pedi chairs are rickety, they drop our jewelry on the floor helping us out of the chair, it was a huge mess!!!
It is one of the WORST mani/​pedis we have ever paid for! The polish on the toes is all clumpy, the polish on the fingernails is chipped off already, no smooth polishing, just a rush job. My daughters and I have had several mani/​pedis in the past, we know a bad job when we see one. It was one of the worst salon experiences we have her had.
I will never go to this salon again,
