LOOK ELSEWHERE. I pay $ 820/​month; haven’t had fully functioning A/​C since I moved in back in JUNE. They tell me they ‘fix’ it, then 2 days later its broken again. They use the excuse that its hot out. I understand that, but it still shouldn’t take 8 (EIGHT) hours to cool down an 800 sq ft apartment 4 (FOUR) degrees!!!
I was without hot water for 3 days! The boiler supposedly broke and they were ‘waiting on parts.’ I had to call to find that out; they gave us no notice. I said, «You didn’t think you should tell us that? You are just going to let us suffer with no clue as to what is going on??» All I got was «we’re working on it.»
Maintenance is a JOKE. The guy is a liar. He told the manager that he replaced my thermostat with a new one. I had to bring in my Wal-​Mart receipt to PROVE that I bought it and replaced it. This place is a SLUM. Had to fix my own garbage disposal and had to bring someone in to fix the pipes under my sink because maintenance wouldn’t do it. Apartment is INFESTED with wasps. I have no clue where they are coming from and of course, maintenance won’t come out and look. There is a dove nesting in the chimney and you guessed it, they won’t remove it so I HAVE TO PAY for someone to relocate the nest.
Under Texas property code, I do have the right to break my lease or charge them for any repairs I make to my air conditioner, but that requires getting a lawyer which I don’t have the money for since I’m paying these scammers so much a month. I’m just SO GLAD I didn’t sign a year lease; come on February 2016!!! Ready to get OUT of this hole.
