Specialties
From-scratch cuisine. Eclectic wine list. Personal service.
Everything is house-made including pastas, breads, jams and jellies. We also cut down our own fish and meats. We have a large variety of options with the ability to accommodate special dietary needs upon request.
Our wine list is full of interesting and well thought out labels in all price ranges that rotate frequently. We also have 20 rotating wines featured by the glass, a craft beer selection, and a full bar with craft cocktails.
History
Established in 2011.
Our fascination with wine, cheese, and bread started with a family vacation to California way back in 2002. We spent several days marveling at the beautiful countryside of Napa Valley, and ate and drank our way through many a winery. We were enthralled by the simplicity and goodness of a family meal out under the trees consisting of a lovely bottle of wine, a farmstead cheese or two, a crusty loaf of fresh bread, and lots of laughter.
Fast forward to 2011 and our family opens Bizzi’s to try and provide DFW with that same feeling we had in wine-country all those years ago. We offer everything from beef wellington to quail, all made from scratch, with a great selection of wine, beer, and craft cocktails for any taste.
Stop by and say hello to family, and have some of the best food that DFW has to offer.
Meet the Business Owner
Elaine V.
Business Owner
Elaine grew up in Marietta, Georgia. She graduated high school early, went to University of Oklahoma, got a bachelors degree in mathematics and became an engineer at Bell Helicopter. She married Glenn and had 4 kids, while getting a masters in business from TCU and working her way up the ladder at Bell. Cooking for the family led to her increased interest in quality, from-scratch food, and a vacation to Napa & Sonoma (and the movie «Sideways») led to an interest in wine. After retiring, Elaine and Glenn wanted to open a family business, and provide Mid-Cities with the food and wine that they loved. And, thus, Bizzi’s was born in June of 2011. The menu and wine list have improved with each passing year, but the core values remain the same; from-scratch food, great wine, and a true family atmosphere.
