Based on the reviews, my mother and I decided to try this new to us restaurant after we had moved her back to Beckley. The décor, vibe and music were very nice and upscale. It looks like there is also patio seating available(although it wasn’t open because it was November). Portions were appropriately sized(not too large, which I hate). A nice selection of vegetable choices. However, the food was just average and I expect more for prices like these. These prices are on par with the prices in restaurants in DC without the quality to match. The food is fine — just not up to this price level. The one bright spot was a roasted brussels sprouts with onions dish that I had as a side(it was on the specials menu). I could have had a whole plate of just that dish alone. Service was friendly and not overly pushy. The Executive Chef came to our table to ask how we liked our meal.

The food was very good, the atmosphere was great for our anniversary dinner, and they even brought us a special dessert and flowers for our special dinner. I would definitely recommend stopping here.

Best Place to eat in WV. I live in Scottsdale half the year where there’s too many great places to count. People in WV are lucky to have 304 and I’m proud it is supported. And if you don’t try the blackened veal chop you’re missing out on a party in your mouth. And for gluten free people this is your respite.

Something for Beckley to be proud of. We were in there for easter brunch(I think) and they had a special menu. The lady had the cream cheese bagel with lox, which was outrageous. I had the steak with a nice fried egg on top with diced potatoes; it came out perfectly rare like I like it. They had killer bloody marys; probably the best bloody mary I’ve had. Worth the money. If you fuck up and wind up on the couch, take her here and you should be fine.

Leopard lamp shades as chandeliers? Really? Every bird decoration TJ Maxx had, they bought! Tacky… Food? Wow. A little salt, a little pepper, throw it on the plate and wa la $ 20 — $ 30 wasted. You can look at the food and tell that whoever put it on the plate didn’t care about it or whoever was eating it. I work in the restaurant business. I know what real love for what you’re doing looks like and what it doesn’t. While it does have major potential. Decent location. Main dining area is very nice. Bar even has potential with out the overpriced ‘mules’ that taste the same in a glass. It’s beaver WV, not Morgantown and the hideous lighting fixtures. Also, I noticed the bartender took guests dirty plates and dumped them in a bin under the bar. Not really the noise I’d like to hear when paying $ 10 a drink. Lastly… Our server. Oh my. I do not know his name. Short, mid 30−40s. I do not know if he received proper training on how to approach a table, serve wine, take an order, to over all interact guests… I’m going to assume he didn’t considering he took our tables order and the surrounding tables orders at the same time. Not quite the way one would expect nor want to be treated when paying the extra dollar to dine. Train your staff! Be passionate! –for heaven sake! Get your bartender a little help.

Visited chop house and the service was much improved from my previous visit. Bartender was very good! I like their filet mignon– tender and well prepared. Good selection of wines by the bottle. I would like to see a little more creativity with their side dishes. I will go back!

Great filet. Friendly staff. Not crazy about the location but definitely one of the better restaurants in the area!

Food was good but not over the top good. Veal and lamb chops cooked to perfection but a little overpriced for this area. Vegetables were very flavorful but the use of bacon grease is unfortunate. Service and décor is very good and when it warms up the outdoor seating will be excellent. Overall we really enjoyed the restaurant. If prices were more in line with the food offerings I would highly recommend 304. Nice restaurant to have in the Beckley area.

Don’t trust that other guy. The people here are awesome and they are putting their heart into this place. Tonight I had the pork chop which was insanely delicious with candied thyme carrots and my wife repeated the filet. This filet shut it down– so good. Best showing yet. I love this place. Do not trust that other reviewer.

Not sure what the deal was tonight, but it took forever for us to get our food! I’m talking almost 2 hours. Other tables were getting their food before us, and they came in after us. The food was very good, but after waiting all that time, some of it was pretty cold. Our server was attentive, nice and apologetic, and the executive chef came out to apologize, but nothing was offered as consolation, which usually is done in the restaurant business when a customer is legitimately unhappy. I honestly don’t know if I would come here again – the food is wonderful, but waiting that long for food, especially food you’re paying over $ 200 for, is not too desirable!

The food was quite flavorful and plated well. However, our party waited nearly two hours to receive our meal and the food was lukewarm. While realizing that it is indeed Mother’s Day, there were other tables that were seated after and received their food before ours. While the food was good, it wasn’t enough to overcome the painfully slow service.
