Sublimity Snow & Skateboards

I came in here last night looking for a pair of goggles and some wax for my board. The customer service and knowledge you get at a small, independent shop is second to none. Husband/​wife-​owned and operated (Stephanie and Ryan, I think?). Ryan knew everything there was to know about each type of goggle, and spent as much time as I needed helping me out and answering questions. This store is awesome, and I’ll definitely come back as I need more gear and accessories. Conveniently located in Central Beaverton, easy street parking.

I drove two hours to get here and it was definitely worth the drive. The owner set a product aside for me while I made my trip and was very personable. I will definitely be bringing my business here again.

Awesome skate shop right up the street! I just turned 40 and moved out here and wanted a way to effectively exercise my 8 month old pup. The proprietors asked questions, allowed me to ask endless questions, and outfitted me with the sickest rig possible! I just took it for a 10 mile roll with the previously mentioned pup Blue on Fanno Creek Trail and had the most amazing experience! Thank you so much for helping bring back such an amazing feeling I loved as a kid!

I have been a consumer of Nike SB products for the last 10 years. I’ve never come across a better experience shopping for limited products. The owners were great to work with in person and even better over on-​line media channels. I personally requested a product via their Facebook page and got a response letting me know they would look into it because they didn’t have it currently in stock. Within the next week we were able to get a order placed on my behalf. Great all around shopping experience and service from Sublimity Snow and Skateboards.
In addition, this had me interested in an even more limited product release the Nike SB Pushead 2. The account only received 6 units total which they would sell through within minutes. I personally work 2 jobs where I headed over to shop around midnight on Thursday to see 4 people already sitting outside the shop. I got to talking with some of the individuals and they said I should get in line. The next morning it was done. I got my size and was super happy with the purchase. I normally don’t wait in lines for sneakers overnight but as long time Nike guy it was fun to connect with younger sneakerheads. This was a great time. Before I ever went into Sublimity I shopped at the chain «skate shops» at malls in the Beaverton area. If you want the latest in mass produced over-​priced skate clothes, go to the mall. If you want to bring your business to an honest, local, hard working shop with the best equipment, gear, and clothes in town, go to Sublimity.
I came in with a lot of questions about an old school cruiser board I was trying to put together. Not only did they help me build the board, we used many of my existing parts from other boards to put my new board together at the lowest cost possible for what I was trying to accomplish. I was very specific with what I wanted and they not only had the correct parts for me, but they explained very clearly why the parts fit with what I was trying to do.
The couple that own the business have been there for 13 years working 6 days a week and know exactly what they’re talking about. Every customer works directly with the owners in the shop and you can tell that they understand the value of doing business with honesty and integrity. I’ve been to a lot of skate shops in Oregon and this is by far the best I’ve ever been to. No attitudes or image conscious wannabes trying to «bro out» with you. Just honest people trying to get you out there having fun, from beginners to advanced riders, they work with everyone.

I asked about the disgruntled one star rating because I was surprised that someone could have disliked this place so much. Apparently it was a miscommunication and as soon as they saw she was displeased they attempted to apologize and help her to find what she needed. I could not imagine these people rudely commanding anyone to do anything.

It’s a shame that one of their employees (female) is downright rude because they have merchandise that I would have definitely considered purchasing, however due to my treatment there, I refuse to support their business. From the moment I stepped in the door and she so rudely commanded me to close the door, to the frosty comments while I was attempting to shop, turned me off to this store completely.
