We continue to learn as we treat patients, investigating and discovering new diseases whenever possible, and writing/​lecturing about exotic pets, in order to further the knowledge of their husbandry and diseases for the benefit of the profession at large.

Helped save my baby’s life. The doctor is incredible, very kind and gentle, very good with small animals. Explained in detail the advantages and risks associated with each possible treatment when my gerbil had a mysterious fluid buildup. Assigned a prescription and demonstrated administration of the medicine, and made it very easy to ask questions until I was confident I knew everything I could about how to help my little girl. Because of this vet, my gerbil lived a very happy six months longer than she would have without him. The rates are reasonable and while booking is tough the staff are all very good at what they do.

I brought my very loved rat Dahlia in because she was very ill. She ended up needing to be put to sleep and the staff here were so kind and sympathetic. We even received a card in the mail expressing their condolences for our loss. I will definitely be taking my other pets there for all their care.

I am such a HUGE fan of this place! My rabbit is now 9 years old (a senior now) but I have been bringing him here since I got him almost 10 years ago. Dr. Burgess really knows his stuff, and saved Carmies life more than once! My fiancé and I just moved to Seattle, and one of the hardest parts for me is knowing I won’t be able to take him here anymore. I am so grateful for this place, it’s truly made a world of difference in my life and my bunny Carmie’s.

I have been bringing my ferrets here for four months and I have had nothing but wonderful service. Sometimes Dr. Burgess talks really quickly but he has been helpful. Their boarding service is great, even though it can get expensive. The staff really care about you, your pets, and your satisfaction. I call them about twice a week it seems like, and I am always treated with the best customer service and given great advice.

I honestly am so grateful we took our little hedgie here. She was a 5 – 6 year old lady and she was getting pretty ill. I took her to southwest off of their Unilocal reviews, because I’m new to the area and was unsure where to go. After a few visits and trying everything we could we decided to say goodbye, the staff here was so sweet during the whole endeavor and even sent us a sympathy card in the mail signed by everybody. It really was the sweetest thing. I would full heartily recommend them sweet staff and very knowledgable vet.

Disorganized, poor communication. Information was relayed from the vet through the techs and receptionists– I wasn’t able to talk to him in person on several visits. My impression is that this practice may be overwhelmed by their client load.

I had a really good experience here. I brought my pet in for an emergency visit. They took him in quickly and handled him really well. The whole place gave off the vibe of a family atmosphere. The customers were holding each other’s pets, the staff knew all the pets well, and me and the receptionist even shared pictures of our pets. I get really scared bringing my exotic pets anywhere because it is so hard to tell if they can be trusted but I will definitely be coming back with both of mine. They made me feel completely at ease and made me calm down through a day I otherwise would have been freaking out with my pet so sick. I highly recommend them!
