What a revelation! We discovered this place while walking through Old Town Beaverton today. Why had we never noticed it? It’s right next to Beaverton Bakery. I had the best plain, glazed raised donut ever. It helped that it was hot and fresh from the fryer. Incredibly good, chewy texture and yummy vanilla-sweet scent. I have no idea why people rave so much about Krispy Kreme or Voodoo when they can have these little gems. Wow!

Went in with my wife and my kids, age 3 and 5. Nobody batted an eyelash at me for being under 50. The lady running the place was very sweet to my children and gave great service. The donuts were fresh and fantastic. The big window where we could see the donuts being made was a hit with all of us. This place is awesome.

Old school dinner setting that sells doughnuts. The doughnuts are good bit not great. I’d give them middle of the road for home made doughnuts. The atmosphere is why one would go to Shirley’s Donuts.

A Thank You to the other two reviewers: Thank you for the awesome review for this place. I keep wanting to go in and see if there’s anything special there but for some reason it feels like there is an invisible«nobody younger than 65 allowed» force field that holds me at the door and doesn’t allow me in! Thanks for giving me the courage to push through and go back in time. I know this place for what it is and I have a feeling I may end up shedding a tear for my grandma whilest eating my tuna salad but I am definitely going to do it. :D

This is a small no frills diner attached to Beaverton Bakery. They only have about 5 tables and 90% of their customers get the senior discount at McDonald’s. Their menu is simple American breakfast items and sandwiches, their coffee is drip and served in ceramic mugs, and the prices are low. If you want a straight forward, quiet meal without the bother of a busier or classier restaurant, this place is perfection.

Shirely’s donuts is next to Beaverton Bakery in old town Beaverton. It is a small shop and looks like it is probably part of Beaverton Bakery. I don’t know who Shirely is… Anyway stopped there for the first time today. They had a relatively small selection of donuts, but my guess is I could’ve ordred some things from next door as well but I didn’t ask. They also eggs and bacon and stuff on the menu on the wall as well. Not too much variety, but nice simple options. Drip coffee only. Anyway, this is basically an old school donuts, eggs, and coffee shop. The kind of thing that used to be on every corner in the 50’s. 6 or so tables, drip coffee only some ok food and very reasonable prices. Everyone in the place but me was over 50 and reading the paper if that tells you the«vibe». Cute, friendly, and welcoming. If they are selling what you want, why don’t you stop in? Ok hon?
