We stopped here in Saturday and meant Scott. He is so knowledgeable about the furniture he carries and was so helpful. I went back today and bought the chair we looked at. Best customer service around.

I encourage you to check out this furniture store, not just for the custom furniture, but also for the unique accessories. Carol has a great eye and is so helpful by asking just the right questions to help make a decision. I can honestly say that the pieces I have in our home from Director’s are my favorite pieces.

I purchased 7 thousand dollars worth of furniture from Scott Directors two years ago and have just now finally finished what was a ridiculous amount of trades on my recliner feet. When they were delivered to my home, they placed them where I asked. I then looked them over for defects before they left. Over a year later when I went to move my furniture around, I realized that the legs on one of the recliners were different colors. The two on the back were a redish mahogany color and the front legs were the Espresso I had ordered. I missed this in my inspection. I had done a walk around, but was looking for scratches etc., and not looking at the whole picture. It didn’t help that the chair was in a corner in a shaded area. Once I discovered the issue, I contacted the owner Scott., he said he would contact the manufacturer and get back to me. A few days later he called and said that it had been over a year and the manufacturer wouldn’t do anything. All I wanted was two more Espresso feet for the back of this one chair. Scott suggested I pay his upholsterer to try to darken the legs with a stain. I wasn’t happy about having to pay, but I decided to see if he felt it was a good option. Needless to say the guy stood me up and when Scott called him to say I had made an appt., and he had not shown up, the guy still never got back to me. That’s where it got bad. Scott decided to call the manufacturer back and was able to get them to send me two more legs. When I went to pick them up, I noticed they were black? Scott assured me they were Espresso, so I took them home… nope black! I called him back and he was not happy! He told me he would call them again. When he got back to me he said they were done doing this. He said they no longer had Espresso as a color option. I said at this point that I would be willing to switch the legs on both chairs to a different color if that was an option. Again he called them. Now he calls me and says they want me to pay 14 dollars per leg and shipping! I tried to argue the ridiculousness of this, but he got really verbal and was yelling. I finally ordered them, just to be done with this! When they arrived, I went to get them. When my husband went to install them, he asked where the ones were that all matched. The 8 new legs were 3 different colors, I even had 3’Espresso ones, which in was told no longer existed! Unfortunately the Espresso ones I needed were back legs and shorter, these were front ones. Again, I called him, this time I had to leave a message as they were busy with customers. When I got a call the next day he was so rude and yelled so loud I had to pull the phone away from my ear. When I asked him to calm down he became more agitated! He kept yelling «what do you want»!, when I would try to answer, he would repeat the same phrase. I tried to make light of the situation, by saying I didn’t blame him entirely and that the people at the warehouse must be colorblind… he yelled again, saying «is this your attempt at sarcasm? I said I was trying to lighten things up and he said «well don’t»!. After 15 mins of me saying I wanted this resolved, he said he wanted to just give my money back for the legs and be done with me. I said no, this is so ridiculous! I spent so much money on these chairs and they can’t give me 2 legs that are the right color. I also had paid for all new legs, and still they send me 3 different colors! He called them again, and they said «we are not in the leg matching business»! When Scott called me back, he was very rude again and wanted to know exactly how many legs in what color I needed to complete the chairs. By this time I have 18 legs, all different colors! Finally I go to pick up what I hope are the last 3 legs I will need. They finally sent a color I can use! When I went in to get them, Scott was rude and hardly spoke one word to me. He brought the legs out and inspected each one carefully and asked me to agree that they were good. Finally it’s over! I would never give them another dime! I love my furniture, but to be treated the way I was is unacceptable! The fact that he took the manufacturers side when they said they weren’t in the leg matching business was absurd! I posted this review about 2 months ago and he took the whole page down! When we first met him, he spoke of a bad review on Unilocal that he had been given and how it was upsetting that he couldn’t do anything about removing it, guess he found a way! I’ll keep re-​posting this until I feel it has reached enough people.

Update: we have now had our new couch for a couple of weeks, and it is AWESOME! Super comfortable, high quality. The delivery was friendly and painless.
We have since returned to this business for help restoring a family heirloom mid-​century piece, as well as for new chair seat fabric for our dining room set. Scott and Carol are simply wonderful about listening to your wish list and working to satisfy your goals while offering guidance and concerns that help steer you in the right direction and make sure you get the best possible results. They are, after all, professionals at this, and I am not. It’s great to know they are here to help!

I am lucky to have found this business. The low-​end, placeholder, couch I bought for our basement had run its course. We decided that our holiday gift to ourselves would be a nice, new couch. We searched a number of places and ultimately got referred to Scott’s business by a neighboring furniture store that does not do couches. We were lucky enough to meet with Scott, himself. He was eternally patient with our questions, explained in great detail the answers. He helped with picking the cloth covering and offered lots of insights borne of obvious years of knowledge. He helped us customize the piece to meet our exact needs. His two lines that he carries are both US made. He showed us their construction methods and they are top notch.
The price was vastly lower than I had expected to pay.
Then, he told us that delivery was only 4 — 5 weeks out! Most other places quote delivery at 10 weeks or longer!
If you need a couch, love seat or upholstered chair you are a fool not to visit Scott Director’s showroom. He and his wife are knowledgeable, friendly and committed to their work. It’s so nice to give my money to a local business who sells US made products.

I just got a couch chair and ottoman. I have looked for ever for a good style color and well made. Bingo I found all the above and a great price too. They have some really great stuff You have to look for a long time to see everything. Now is a great time they are having a sale Go see.
