Production Media Co

I have since been contacted by production media to remedy my concerns. I am awaiting the finished product that we had paid via mail. Once I have reviewed said product I am positive that their rating will be five stars as they were very accommodating over the phone.

I was contacted by «Schoolhouse Folders» during Christmas Break to advertise my Real Estate business in homework folders for a local school. I signed up for 1 school and felt good about the purchase. However, after hanging up I realized the school I chose might not be the best one, so I called back to find out what other schools are available. She kindly switched schools for me. Within 10 minutes (and I was driving on the road) I was pressured to buy a 2^nd school and they would double my ad size and double the term. I told him that I wasn’t comfortable making a decision right then and there without being able to verify with the schools themselves, but Justin assured me that I could cancel. I reluctantly agreed to purchase. I have not signed anything or confirmed anything. I then read the BBB and lots of other review websites and got scared, so I called back to cancel my whole contract and they would only let me cancel the 2^nd school and revert my contract back to the smaller ad and shorter term. When I called that school to confirm the legitimacy of this company, they said they do not use this company and they are concerned that Production Media is offering advertising with them when they do not have a contract. RED FLAG. So I called back to cancel that one as well, and they will not let me out of the ‘contract’ I have with them. They assigned me to a different school and I did confirm with that school that yes, indeed, they do use these folders. They are expecting a shipment in a month or so. I will give this a try and see how it goes.
My advice to anyone considering signing with this company– do your due diligence first– check with the schools they are claiming to do business with. DO NOT PAY WITH YOUR CREDIT CARD until you have confirmed this.

LIE #1: «Hi I am from _​_​_​_​_​School.
LIE #2: «We are doing a fundraiser and your ad will go on the student folders.
LIE #3: «Each folder goes home with every child.
LIE #4: «You are signing up early, you can choose where you want your ad to go.»
Lie #5: «The folders will be going home with the kids when they come back from the winter break of January 2015»
So we chose the inside top right of the folder. Got our ad info to the art dept. within the requested 10 days. And then the delays began. Art department was delayed due to the holiday time. No phone calls from them explaining a delay. I had to call each time and ask what was going on. Getting a run around each time. What I have figured is that if they don’t have enough ads sold they push it back to the next semester.
LIE #6: Salesperson calls: «I can get you another ad with another school and get two years for both schools at just another $ 395.» I said well I might be interested but lets see how the first ad goes. Then I received a charge on my CC for $ 395. (same story with other clients)
LIE #7: I had them refund this and they said for the mistake they would just give us the ad for free for two years at both schools. This later turned out to be completely false as they could not find enough clients for the folders at the other school. More calls into them about updates etc…
LIE #8: «The folders will be coming out in the beginning of the school year September 2015.»
They actually came out in the middle October of 2015. So the kids already have another system for their homework. I drove to the school and met with the secretary of the principal of the school. She said they got the folders but only have 500 (LIE #3). This is not enough for each child so the teachers hand them out if they want. Now they sit in boxes in the teacher’s lounge.
She stopped a student walking by and asked if she got a folder. She said no, and showed me her notebook that has 8 dividers. This makes more sense for a middle schooler with 7 – 8 classes. Having a separate folder for each class is not practical.
After bugging them I got a sample folder and I am the one that discovers the ad is on the very back of the folder. (LIE #4) Then I am offered a bigger ad for the next folder. But that doesn’t work for me as they will be sitting in the teacher’s lounge in boxes.
LIE #9: Corey said he would get us a refund. This never happened and I had to speak to his boss, Chris who tells me Corey wasn’t in a position to promise a refund.
When I asked the school if they got any money back from this company, they said no and that they just get the folders as a donation. (LIE #1 and #2) The salesperson from Production Media calls up businesses and leaves a message saying she is from the school. Hoping you want to do business with the school. Since the school is getting the folders for free, they call this a donation.
I made a complaint to BBB who lists them as a generous C. I got a very defensive and inaccurate reply from their attorney. However, they finally sent me a refund check after playing the «It’s in the Mail game,» for three weeks. Good luck Friends!

SCAM ALERT!
I cannot believe I did not check their reviews before falling into this SCAM!!!
We work so hard for our money and people do this kind of thing… It makes me sick!
I never thought this was a scam, I really believed in this company and was looking forward to getting more business through their advertisement.
Contact was made in June, and they promised that the folders would be printed in September. It is almost end of October and not only I never heard from them again, the call doesn’t even go through.
I am extremely upset with the dishonesty of people, not to say angry.
The art they sent me was terrible, but they promptly changed upon request. Which made me believe I was dealing with a legit company. I called and emailed them in July, maybe August, and they were courteous, told me they were in the final process, and that is the last I ever heard of them.
Called them today about 10 times, and someone just hangs up. Sent emails, let’s see what happens. I cannot believe I felt for this.
Finally after the 10^th call, I was able to leave a voicemail to someone and on my next try I was able to speak with someone, and requested a cancellation and my money back since the contract says they were supposed to deliver in 120 days, and it has passed. He said he was going to put the request, but most likely is going to be declined since they are only 10 days late (according to him).
He said it went to print on the 10÷9÷15 and shipped on 10÷16÷15.
He said he should have a response for my request on Wednesday 10÷21÷15, but the materials should be arriving sometime soon.
It is January 2016 and guess what? Not received or seen anything yet

Worst company ever. I was working closely with on of the females back in September. She was so sweet but I had given her a call around December and come to find out she was fired and tried to help me even though she wasn’t working. Hope that this company is going under soon.
Cant believe that i fell for spending 1500 on top of the $ 375 I spent,
after you buy your first add you are then contacted by Justin who pushes you until you buy. I Didnt even get to see the print in the school I paid for.

This guy who calls himself mark calls me stating he is from a real estate company on State st. I google the number and it comesup to this company and when I call the number and ask for him his VM has a different name. RED FLAGS… So I call him back anyway because the message he left states he needs my services on a project. LIE… he is trying to sell me some product the rest of the Unilocalers seem to think is a rip off. What can I say… if it looks like a duck and waddles like a duck… probably a duck! I don’t know if the company is a ripoff or not. What I know is if your giving out more then one name and dishonest from the start I cant use you!

Terrible! Duped me as a business owner with an advertising opportunity, and what’s worse didn’t deliver on the product they promised to the public middle school partner. Wish I had checked Unilocal for ratings first before I signed-​up…

This company will say anything to earn your business. School House Folders is a division of Production Network Media under the umbrella of Production Media Co. in Beaverton, Oregon.
School House Folders prints school folders on the expense of local sponsors. In April of 2015, Chris Larson called and offered me a special opportunity to print my ad in local school folder. He said if I commit myself now by paying over the phone I will be the ONLY realtor on this folder. I got excited, then he said if I participate in three schools he will include the second year with no extra charge. I agreed to do so and paid for all three local school binder ads with credit card. In December I called Chris to get updated and after leaving several messages finally I could get a hold of him. Chris promised to mail me sample of all three binders. I never received them. I called back and explained my frustration to the front desk lady. She connected me to Doug. He was nice enough to help me and finally I received my three folders on 1÷18÷16. I was shocked to see that there were other Realtors ad also printed on same folders. Surprisingly on 1÷19÷16 Julie Goss called to offer an opportunity to participate in another three school folder ads. When I expressed my frustration she said there is a wording on the bottom of the contract which says «Sponsor agrees that no promise or representations other than those rendered herein, are to be recognized or have any effect. School House Folder’s liability is limited to the total sale». When I asked her if I can talk with the supervisor/​manager, she said I am the production manager.
I regret that I didn’t have the chance to check their reviews.

I can’t believe I fell for it again! Approached my daycare several years ago to place my ad inside of homework folders for school kids. Thought it was a great idea and jumped on board. Several months later, another client of theirs (also happened to be a parent at the school where the folders were supposed to be handed out) approached me and asked if I heard anything from them. They never bothered to tell us the folders were going to be able to handed out because the school didn’t want them. Don’t even know if the folders were even printed in the first place.
THEN, a couple years later, they approached me again. Said they had permission to hand them out, were going to be printed, blah, blah, blah. I agreed but then changed my mind the next day, called to ask for a refund and was told they couldn’t give one. Sales people made commission and were paid already and they couldn’t ask for the commission back. Such BULLSHIT! Sometimes, they say they’re working with schools. Other times they call and say they’re working with realtors. It’s all just a SCAM!!!

As soon as we hired this company, their attitude changed and customer service was terrible. They were over a month late in producing the final product. They represented that all of the sponsors would be mailed a hard copy however when asked for it, they continued to say they would send it and led me to believe that would happen. Two months later, still no hard copy. The representatives lied to me on the phone numerous times and were caught every time. I will never recommend this company to anyone I know. Terrible.

This Company is a TOTAL SCAM… They are calling Vendors using Successful Real Estate Agents names and companies names to get people to invest in these «So called Folders» I spoke with one of the CEO;s and I caught him in several LIES… They are looking for $ 375.00 from each vendor… Thank goodness we have great relationships with our clients and customers. BEWARE… we will be filing a complaint with the BBB, and report them to the Oregon State Department… I have over 24 years in Law Enforcement and I assure you… This company is a complete scam… Look at all of the reviews… the 5 star reviews are 2 local business to them… the few 3 stars they bought the star rating back by either refunding the monies or giving them some product…

I received one refund of $ 375 and sent me the folders that they printed out. It was late, but at least I know they do care and they did their job! That’s the most matter for us as a customer.

DO NOT TRUST THESE SCAM ARTISTS. They charged my credit card promising me school folders with my ad for my dental practice on it and they did not deliver anything. After multiple failed attempts to communicate with them and no phone calls or email responses, I contacted the school directly and I came to find out there was a different dentist on the back cover! They rush you into signing up for 2 years at a «great price» but sell the ad space to multiple business. Don’t get duped like the rest of us — I wish I looked at this company before going through with advertising.

After complaining to the Oregon Department of Justice (and the BBB), they finally say they completed the package and mailed me proof of mailing without a copy of any packet. I called today and their attorney says, «Oh, you’re the one complaining,» to which I responded, me and lots of other people. He promises to mail me a copy of what they developed for the realtor. I will update this if I ever see anything. What a CRAPPY way to do business.

They are RIP OFF. Don’t deal with them! They just want your money!

I’ve been contacted MANY times and have asked several times for them to stop. This is clearly a scam.

Persistence? Try harassment. Are you an idiot? When someone says they aren’t interested it doesn’t mean you keep contacting them constantly.

A complete and blatant ripoff. Their sales team consists of scam artists, and we have paid them $ 1,000 for nothing. No homework folders, no feedback, no response to our inquiries.
UPDATE on 10÷10÷15: I was finally contacted by Production Media (a.k.a Schoolhouse Folders) and informed that they were unable to get the folders printed in time for the fall school session due to artwork that other advertisers did not submit in time. I was given a contact name at the school that the homework folders are being prepared for, and when I called her, she confirmed that delivery is expected within the next month.
So, I am upgrading my rating to 3 stars on good faith that they will deliver the product soon, although I am still a bit annoyed that nobody bothered to inform me of this delay until I filed a complaint. If they deliver a quality homework folder to the elementary school by mid-​December, then I will come back and give another update and raise my rating another notch.

I have been contacted by ********** and can’t wait to see Jennifer F (the owner that replies to the Unilocal complaints pointing the finger at her customers and never acknowledging wrongdoing and/​or apologizing) write something about how they should not have shut this fraudulent company down and how it’s all the *********** fault.

They promised to print a folder with Keller Williams Real Estate to promote my business. They worked hard at the sale, got credit card information and disappeared.
They claimed they would work with you on the artwork and yet they never delivered. After several calls to the office, I now understand they just placed a generic Ad without my approval for my business. I never saw the proof nor where it ended up in the overall publication.
This company is a SCAM. They take your money and deliver nothing. Tell a friend.

This is a scam. They promised to print a folder with Keller Williams Real Estate to promote my business.
They charged my credit card for $ 300 on March 19^th, 2015 to promise printing my folder and deliver it 120 days after. Which means right now it is MORE than 120 days, and nobody attends my client needs, nor have I seen any results.
These guys also are:
1. They have REALLY substandard customer service
2. They charge your credit card, and disappear magically. No money returned. They hoard it.
3. They are not professional, and sell lies.
4. They have no shred of respect.
