Hi, My names Randy, owner of Portland Drum Lessons .com

Thank you for visiting my site.

I have been playing drums since I was a small child. My father is a musician and sound engineer, so I grew up surrounded by music and the music industry.

At age twelve I begun to play the drumset. this was the fun stuff! By the age of thirteen had auditioned and joined a college level big band Jazz group. We played the jazz circuit in southern California, and by fifteen I was touring Europe and playing in the Montreux Jazz Festival (A big deal to any drummer)

I have continued to play at a high level with the US NAVY Band, local indie and jazz musicians, and rock and cover bands. Music is my paradise.

I have over 10 years of teaching experience in elementary, middle, and high schools. Along with private instruction of both children and adults. I am comfortable teaching any age group and any experience level.
