The Oregon Gymnastics Academy is a 25,000 square foot facility in Beaverton, Oregon. As the largest gymnastics facility in the state, OGA houses state of the art equipment, top-​notch coaches, and high-​quality training techniques that set our athletes apart throughout the region. In addition to recreational and competitive classes, OGA offers day and summer camps, birthday parties, parent’s night out, open play times, and more! The combination of space, equipment, and teaching techniques makes OGA an industry leader and helps build champions one child at a time.

History

Established in 1978.

The Oregon Gymnastics Academy is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote and motivate character, fitness, and health in the lives of our athletes, employees, and community through the sport of gymnastics.

In 2009, OGA expanded our facility to its current 24,000 square feet. We are happy to offer over 200 recreational class options, competitive boys and girls teams, indoor parks, birthday parties, parents’ night outs, and more.

Since 2012, OGA has partnered with Impact NW’s SHINE Program to provide a free after-​school gymnastics program to at-​risk youth in the area. Our Community Outreach Program is just one of several ways OGA works to give back to the community that has been so supportive for over 35 years.

We welcome everyone to visit OGA — try out a free class, play around at Indoor Park, or take a night off with Parents’ Night Out. Adults can also check out our adult fitness classes, including gymnastics and Zumba. We look forward to meeting you soon!

My 4 and 6 old have been with OGA for over 2 years! The confidence and physical strength they’ve gained has been amazing! We really appreciate the teamwork, kindness and character building that the coaches instill in our kids!

The Sensory Sunday program is a lie. It should be titled sensory overload at best. There are a hundred little princess wannabes in their glittery little outfits running around, as well as a giant bell that ALL the kids in a class get to ring. There is nothing exclusive about it besides exluding the sensory kids from certain areas by roping them into a corner and making sure they don’t leave their little area. However, the MANY other kids are welcome to come on into the little area roped off for the disabled kids.
The people at this place are a disappointment. The ‘program manager’ brings her entitled little daughter along to the event. The executive director acknowledges that ‘we do advertise this as exclusive…’ but obviously they don’t care one whit for the actual attendees. There are less than 10 kids who attend, probably because they are the only ones approved of by snobs and crew. Judgemental, uppity, non-​charitable people.

Their class make up policy is bad. For the price that we’re paying, $ 85 a month — they won’t even let us make up a class unless there was sickness. So either lie or lose money. Very disappointed. We’ve been with them for about 1.5 years going on Saturdays and we can’t leave town for a weekend because they won’t let us make up the class.

Our kids really enjoy the OGA summer day camps. I like that the kids aren’t out in the sun and heat all day. There is at least one field trip a week that usually includes swimming. The price is very reasonable as compared to other camps.

I’m writing specifically about OGAs Parents Night Out. It used to be a great program where the kids did gymnastics, played in the foam pit, rocked the hula hoops under the disco ball etc. I remember picking them up sweating because they had so much fun. Now apparently a parent complained that their kids were too wound up so now they sit and do crafts and watch movies for 4 hrs. A complete waste where you can now hire a sitter for that because they no longer provide any value adder. My kids used to love the place, now they whine and cry about going to OGA. Think twice before sending your kids there to stare at a movie and fall asleep. Change it back to the old OGA program and I’ll bring the kids in a heartbeat! Come on OGA what happened? There’s a word in your name between «Oregon» and «Academy».

My daughter really LOVES her rec gym classes here. There are some really great coaches. I’d recommend scoping out the classes to find the ones who have great attention to detail, or whose personality best fits your child.
Most of the coaches are pretty young, so there is some turnover from time to time as people go off to school or find a higher paying «grown up» job. This summer was really bad; my daughter lost both her coaches, although after some trial and error, we have found a couple of really solid, detail-​oriented and positive coaches to continue with this year.
Overall, I think that there are many dedicated and wonderful people who work there. Parking is a pain.

Great place to introduce your child to the world of gymnastics!
What started as a way to tire my active 4 year old has become a way of life. My daughter began with a simple gymnastics class and has moved to Girls Team competition level.
OGA is great in that all their instuctors and coaches are very experienced. Safety is their main concern. Kids have a blast and get tired out. If they love the sport, they move up to team and add lots of hours to the gym.
We have been going to OGA for 7 years and love this place. HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.

I think the school is ok, in general. They have a lot of equipment and a good choice of class times. They also do summer camp and «parents night out» which is nice. My biggest complaint is the turnover rate! My child has had 7 teachers in a little over a year. That’s a new teacher about every two months. It makes it really difficult for my child to get used to a teacher, their teaching style, their personality, etc. There’s also never any notice about teacher changes. Just one day we show up to a class and my child has a new teacher that I’ve never seen before. Then within a couple of months they quit. We’re honestly thinking of switching schools just to get some consistency.

My 3 ½ year old son loves to exercise here. Thursdays are his favorite day off the week thanks to OGA and mine too (kids are guaranteed to pass out early).
