This is my best experience ever! Dr. Allen has truly got the best aesthetic eye in Portland, whether it be for lips, cheeks, botox, any kind of filler, this is your guy. His bed side manor and office professionalism is 2^nd to none.

Dr. Allen is the best.
He is an artist and this is my 2^nd visit for sculptra and it you have been pondering whether or not to do it… DO IT… It’s worth it and even tho this is only my 2^nd session out of 4 it’s the best… fillers are great but this THE BEST… and I would trust anyone else but Dr. Allen… I been going to him for botox for 3 years… his stuff is not over diluted so you get what expect to get EVEN if your using a groupon! A+++++++ he is wondeful!

This place is nice came here to get Botox between my brows. I was referred due to the great pricing. It’s 2 months later and the lines between my brows are back. My previous Botox treatments would last almost 6 months before I started. I checked and got the same number of units at both places. I’ve always been told to be wary of places that don’t mix the Botox in front of you. I believe I got Botox that had been diluted too much with saline. I will not return.

Wonderful place! First time I went to this place a year ago with Groupon to do Botox, but after I met Dr. Allen I go there all the time and bring my family there to, Dr. Allen is awesome!!! He always makes me feel welcome and worthy, always gives me a good advice and great price! I highly recommend this place to everybody!

I have been going to Dr Allen and staff for over a year now. Botox, and a CO2 laser treatment for face, neck and chest area. Super impressed always with the treatment from the staff. Warm, welcoming, and professional. My first visit was using a groupon for botox. Reviewers are right in that some places treat you like you are not worth waiting on for using a Groupon, and you wonder why they bother doing it in the first place! Not the case here! And I believe this is the reason for such promotions– to get new clients. I love the fact that you are never up-​sold. In fact I have been talked out of some things here and told I do not need it. Very nice and comfortable office. Dr Allen called personally after CO2 to see how I was doing. I love this place!

Nice staff doctor seems knowledgeable and friendly. Made some treatment reccomendations for the future and was not pushy about it. I went on a Groupon and I liked that I was not treated like a second class citizen. So often you’re not treated well on these groupons and you wonder why are they running a special don’t they realize it’s an opportunity to try out your services and see if they want to come back? Any way, I was glad that the doctor went over treatment options with me and offered free touch ups that was nice also.

First time getting botox and filler. Dr. Allen was absolutely amazing and fantastic, made me feel comfortable, and is extremely skilled at what he does. He explained everything first and what recommendations he had and let me choose where to put the filler. I couldn’t ask for anything better! Very happy with the service! Also has an appreciation for the overall appearance of a person. I had a groupon by the way and he treated me very nicely!

I purchased a groupon for Botox and visited the Vancouver facility. The office was nice and the receptionist was friendly. The doctor seemed rushed and was a bit stand-​off-​ish, it almost seemed like he was annoyed I had purchased a groupon. Needless to say, he lead me from one room where I waited for about 5 minutes to another room where he preformed the botox. He asked me where I wanted the 20 units of Botox and I said in half in my crows feet area and half in my brow area. He said «no» I can’t do that it’s only 20 units for one area. I proceeded to tell him that 20 units works great for me spilt between and have had it done 5 times before by other certified doctors. He proceeded to tell me that its FDA regulated that he treat each area w 20 units and won’t do it any other way. I told him I want it split between both areas and he even went so far to say I’ll show u the literature where it says I can’t administer less than 20 units. So I was very dissatisfied and believe he was trying to get me to buy more units. It felt like the groupon was a ploy to up sell which I was not falling for. I ended up getting one area done and am defiantly not going back. I even tried to ask him about other skin issues and he didn’t want to hear it after I refused his up sell. He rushed me out the door and the receptionist wasn’t even there. A very questionable place and can relate to the other person that experience the same issue w her groupon purchase.

I dont know why it has taking me so long to write a review now that I have been going to Dr Allen for awhile. I first started going to him for Botox since he had a groupon that was priced really well. I am from southern California where you can get Botox everywhere and when I moved to Portland I had a really hard time getting good Botox. I was so satisfied with my Botox that I continued coming to Dr Allen. I have now gotten Botox, fillers and a CO2 laser. I can not say enough good things about Dr Allen. He does amazing work. I was really hesitant about filler and he made me look very natural and you cannot tell I have had it. He is also not just out to make money. He wants you to feel confident and look your best and takes care of you if you are a regular client. Go see Dr Allen!

I stand by my story.

I bought a Groupon for 40 units of Botox. I’ve had Botox 4 times before and was a little nervous about going to someone new, but the deal was so good I decided to have the consultation and see if I was comfortable with the doctor and his practice. I made an appointment for Saturday morning in the Vancouver office, however there was a snowstorm and Dr. Allen texted me that he had told his staff to stay home but if I wanted he would be happy to meet me at the office anyway. He wasn’t pushy at all, just offered to keep the appointment if that was my preference (he even cautioned me that driving from Portland was slippery even with my 4 wheel drive truck). I decided to brave the snow and met him at his office. I was very impressed with his manner and his knowledge of Botox, fillers and cosmetic surgery in general. Dr. Allen took his time and explained the mechanism of Botox, how it works and why it wears off, and showed me many before and after pictures of his patients. We discussed my expectations and his recommendations and agreed on 50 units. He charged me $ 100 for the extra 10 units as agreed (which is even a little below the going rate in Portland) and asked me to return in 2 weeks for a follow up. I was impressed with Dr. Allen’s knowledge, patience and general manner. He was informative without trying to «upsell» me. I’ve been considering fillers for a while now and when I’m ready to try them I will absolutely go to Dr. Allen. I would highly recommend him (and did to my sister and friends)!

I have had botox done 4 times now in a 2 year time. I have seen 3 different doctors, I came back to Dr. Allen. I just wanted what I had done before, my eye wrinkles. I am getting married this coming Nov 29^th. He suggested more, I was reluctant. Not because of the price. I was just nervous to do more than I had. He recommended more without making me feel ugly or «pushed» into it. I was told the price, I agreed and am very happy with the results. I felt like he really cared about how I looked for the wedding and considered my nervousness. I agreed to a bit more and am pleased with the results. I will be going back to him only. Last two people I saw were more $ and it didn’t show as much. I didn’t feel they cared like he does. I am only 36. I am just trying to do little bits to help my aging. The microderm there is the best too! I don’t know these people personally, but the two times I have been there I feel I am in caring hands. Thank you Dr. Allen and your assistant micro queen.

If you regularly get Botox, you will be impressed by the service at Nu U. The doctor administers it himself, unlike some medical spas. He is very experienced in different injection techniques and his techniques to add a unit to flatten under the eye can make a big difference for a small price. His prices for botox are competitive and he often runs deals. He has a free follow up and will give you an extra unit or two if he feels you need it. No other center I have been to in Porltland does that and I have been getting Botox for many years. The result is very natural — you will not look pulled or done — the doctor wants you to have a natural youthful look and he will take the time to talk to you about what you are trying to acheive and make suggestions. The offices and staff are professional and you feel you are in good hands. You will pay the same price or more at other places, why not have a doctor with specialized training in botox injection advise you and take the time to get to know you? It’s a no brainer. I highly recommend Nu U for Botox.
One additional note — As to the reviewer who felt tricked, I have been there with my friend five or six times now and they have never charged more than they told me, the doctor has given me a unit or two to touch up for free and tney always check to see if you have brilliant distinctions points to apply. And as I said, they often run specialsso you get a microderm or a laser treatment with the botox package.

I’ve worked in the medical field and have ophthalmologists do my Botox injections many times. I’ve had the best result from Dr. Allen and am always greeted warmly by him and his staff. Looking forward to having more procedures done in the near future!

I chose the IPL treatment to tighten my skin on my face. I have a few light spots and apparently no rosacea. I wanted to get a fresher look but I am aware that many of these treatments are a slippery slope leading to more treatments and I tend toward a conservative approach.
The Dr did a brief consultation telling me what options I had with IPL and covered some of the other treatments he could offer such as CO2 Laser resurfacing… Interesting and something to consider.
As I had already made up my mind to do the IPL, the Dr. promptly took me into the treatment room and performed two passes. The first setting was at 40 (too light). The second pass was at a 44 setting (more intense but tolerable).
Immediately, I saw results. The day after, my face itches as though I had a light windburn. Other than that, I was very pleased with the results.
I wanted to wait at least a week to see what my skin would look like after seven days. I plan to have two more treatments at higher settings spaced about 4 to 6 weeks apart before summer is here.
I can recommend this service and the fact that is is across the parking lot from my gym is a big plus.
