Went there because of the good reviews and my love for Peruvian food, disappointed. I ordered the Lomo saltado, low quality beef was cut very thin and small, the ceviche was presented well but low quality seafood products was used, the only thing I liked was the chicha morada.

This place is so so tasty, with delicious sauces, tender and seasoned meat, and quick service! This place definitely has a «hole in the wall» feel, so don’t come expecting something fancy. However, it’s clean and I want to try everything on the menu! I ordered what seems to be a popular dish on the reviews, the Lomo Saltado. This is some EXCELLENT comfort food, people. The beef was really. really good. They have a small selection of beers, including a couple of Peruvian beers. I also saw a sign that says they have Peruvian breakfast on Sunday mornings?! We will be back.

I love Peruvian food. I’ve tried dozens of spots all over SoCal, so when I moved to the Portland/Beaverton area, I was saddened by the lack of Peruvian restaurants. When I saw that Lima had opened, I made a beeline for it. Rolled up at 11:45 am on a rainy Tuesday and the restaurant was unfortunately empty. Undeterred, my wife and I got a table and ordered what we normally order whenever we try a new Peruvian spot: Lomo Saltado, Arroz con Mariscos and a glass of Chicha Morada. Food came quickly and was steaming hot. I could tell just by the smell and the visual that the food was going to be fantastic. The thin strips of steak were tender and flavorful, the seasoning was spot-on(not overly salty like some places), the onions and tomatoes were cooked beautifully and retained the optimal«bite», the rice was firm but not dry. It was absolutely delicious. I scooped both sauces onto my plate; the green Aji sauce was not what I’m used to; less spicy and had more cumin flavor… not my favorite. But the Aji Criollo was amazing… very spicy chiles in this one… ate it by the spoonful. I wiped my plate clean and started digging into my wife’s arroz. She’s petite… doesn’t need all that food. NOMNOMNOM. The Arroz Con Mariscos was a cross between a paella and a chaufa, which, in my book, is a killer combo. All the seafood was perfectly cooked… not a rubbery shrimp or shellfish on the plate. The shrimp in the shells were particularly tasty, as were the clams. I finished this one off too. The Chicha Morada was also different than what I’m used to… most places I’ve tried in SoCal use pineapple juice; I didn’t get that here. Still very refreshing with the wonderful overtones of cinnamon. Totaled out to $ 30 for the two of us, which is consistent with SoCal prices. Bottom line… amazing food that will keep us coming back. Can’t wait for next time so I can try my favorite dish, Parihuela.

Having a Peruvian restaurant pop up in Beaverton is a BLESSING. So long are the days of driving to Gresham for under-cooked, tasteless meat they call Peruvian food. As a Peruvian via my father’s side, I can rightfully say that this restaurant is one of the best places in the Pacific Northwest to get quality Peruvian food outside of the nation itself — ESPECIALLY Pollo a la brasa(similar to rotisserie chicken). I once ordered for a group of 5, and since then feel that its a bit pricey, but other than that, they’re worth checking out.

I had the whole restaurant to myself. It was quiet but nice. The food was a little spendy but fair, with most meals costing $ 10-$ 15. Frankly, I could’ve made what I had at home, but it was delicious. Don’t remember what it was called in Spanish, but it was basically steak mixed with French fries, tomatoes, and grilled onions and it was served with a side of rice. It cost $ 12.25. I’ll be back to try more.

Excellent Peruvian restaurant. Food is better than Andina at one ½ of the price. Recommendations: seco de Cordero(lamb stew). Mussels soup. Lomo saltado. Ceviche.

This place was amazing! After many years of living in South America, I have spent just as many years longing for Peruvian food in the Portland area. The best I’ve found is El Inca in Gresham, but it’s quite far and has a fairly limited menu. I am SO glad Lima opened, and I’m also thrilled that it surpassed my expectations. We went with a group of 7, and prepared ourselves to give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt, since it opened so recently. However, that was totally not necessary — even though it hasn’t been around long, it is doing a great job! The food came out very quickly(and perfectly timed), the service was excellent, and most importantly — the food was totally authentic and super flavorful. Everything we ordered was great, including the sudado de pescado, sudado de mariscos, ceviche mixto, papa a la huancaina, chupe de mariscos, lomo saltado, tallarin de mariscos, etc. No complaints whatsoever about any of the dishes — oh, and the portions were HUGE(easily enough for two people to share). Desserts were great too — we had leche asada and suspiro limeno, and both were excellent. The chica morada also tasted fresh and not the powdered kind that can be bought in stores. I hope this place stays in business — it’s the kind of Peruvian food that I’ve been waiting for years to have in Portland. I do have three suggestions though for the owners — 1. A Peruvian restaurant without pisco(and pisco sours) is quite surprising. Perhaps it’s something you’d consider adding to the menu? 2. I’ve been dying to have pulpo al olivo, and would love to see it on the menu. 3. The chupe de camarones was delicious, but I’ve always had it with pieces of goat cheese or queso fresco. Perhaps you’d consider adding that to your recipe? Well done, loved this place and can’t wait to go back!

Finally peruvian food that is tasty and plentyful, tried the Lomo saltado, fried yuca, ceviche de pescado, aji de gallina and Bistec a lo pobre. Plates are big so be aware, sharing is an option if you don’t have a big apetite. They have peruvian soda(Inka Cola). A little expensive, but the quality and quantity of the food is worth it.

This place is so good! The service is kinda slow, but the food is worth it! Make sure you get the seco de cordero or ceviche if you want the best dishes they have to offer. The arroz chaufa is not that great, neither are the french fries… but you should be there to eat Peruvian food, not fries :)

Great Peruvian food in Beaverton? It’s about time! If you get hit with a craving for some Lomo Saltado, fried Yuca, and Inca Kola — This restaurant is for you. Tonight we tried the lomo, ½ pollo a la brasa, an alfajor and the arroz con leche. The prices are a bit high for Beaverton(Around $ 14/plate for dinner), but man… everything was DELICIOUS, so will gladly pay. The beef in the Lomo was high quality and really tender, complimented nicely with perfectly cooked fries. The pollo a la brasa could be the best in Portland — Extremely flavorful and juicy. We used to make the trek to Gresham for Peruvian food at El Inka, but now will stay local, save gas money and put it towards food instead!

This restaurant just opened like 4 days ago. My husband and I were in the area and decided to give it a try. The food was amazing. We ordered Ceviche, Pollo Saltado, Seco de Res(that was the lunch special and came with a chicken soup — Caldo de Pollo) and yuca frita. My husband enjoyed it so much. I’m Peruvian so anytime we had the chance to eat a dish from my country, it makes my day! Will be coming back soon. They also have Pollo a la Brasa and the prices are very good.
