Specialties
For those students who are just starting instruction with us, we have rooms dedicated to conducting Academic Evaluations and other initial evaluations.
Once students begin instruction, we use our custom-designed study carrels that are arranged to provide optimum student-teacher interaction. Books and other materials are conveniently placed nearby to insure maximum use of tutor time. Our record keeping process insures continuity of instruction from session to session and permits our Director of Education to review programs frequently, targeting the need for any program changes.
Our custom-designed facility offers windows between every instructional room to insure that all of our tutors are under our constant supervision and that no tutor is ever alone with any child.

History
Established in 1977.
In 1977 Dr. Raymond and Eileen Huntington opened the first Huntington Learning Center in Oradell, NJ, because they recognized a need to offer high quality tutoring to students of all ages.
Eileen, who holds a Masters Degree from Rutgers University, first taught in The Bronx in New York City and then in Bound Brook, NJ, teaching social studies to students in grades 7 through 12.
After college and while serving in the National Guard, Ray worked as a computer programmer. He later obtained his Doctorate in Statistics from Rutgers University, where he taught both undergraduate and graduate-level math and statistics courses. He then worked for several years as a statistician.
Eileen and Ray were motivated to open their first learning center in 1977 by their deep interest in teaching and the joy they received from working with students. They worked hard to develop and refine the curricula and instructional methodologies needed to work with a wide variety of students of all grades and needs
