The staff and owner are extraordinary. The chef is clearly talented, as the food is awesome. I strongly recommend this location. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The prices are inexpensive. The clientele range from young 25+ to 65+. The customers are kind, gracious and friendly. I definitely will go back!

It is a corner bar not really a pub. It sure could use booth seating to soften the naval grey walls. I do agree with a prior reviewer, the Oregon Lottery sign and gambling room deminish the potential for it to become a neighborhood inviting local tavern.

I have to agree with an earlier reviewer, this place is not for me. The term pub was very misleading — this is most definitely a bar. I had heard that the owners were excited to focus on the restaurant aspect of this business, welcoming families with minors until the early evening hours. However, as you approach this establishment, you are bombarded with neon signs for video lottery and a giant liquor bar just steps from the main entrance. The seating is limited to chairs at the bar and a few tall tables, near the entrance. This is not someplace that is appropriate for kids at any time of day. Disappointingly, you won’t find a warm, cozy neighborhood pub where you can grab a pint and catch up with your friends and neighbors. Instead, rather surprisingly in this quiet South Beaverton neighborhood, you will find a dive bar that seems to cater to the afternoon alcoholic and the video poker addict. I will definitely be steering clear in the future.

Not for me. I was hoping for a warm neighborhood pub and found a bar instead. If all you want is a drink this is the place for you it has a full bar and 20 taps. The inside is a dour blue grey which on a grey day is very gloomy. It has TVs over the bar and a small one near a pool table. There are only a few tables that are table height the rest are all tall. The food was mediocre. The burger was a burger, not bad but not notable either. The BLT was terrible, more like a lettuce sandwich. I’d walk across the parking lot to biscuits if you’re looking for lunch. The whole place was disappointing. Iffy food and a gloomy atmosphere. Also this is not like a McMinemims, no kids allowed. If you’re looking for a nice pub this is not for you if you want a bar this is the place.

Brand new place, kind of out of the way but well worth it. Been in here a few times and have always liked the food. Pizzas only come in one size but have had them on two different occasion and they were both excellent. Rosemary fries were yummy. In house smoked pork was to die for. Will definitely come again. Lots of beers on tap and Portland cider, too.

Yay! I’m a fan! This area desperately needed a place to watch a game or grab a burger and a beer without the sound of bowling children in the background. Busy on a Monday night pre-football season after only being open for 2(?) weeks is a testament to how a 21+ only place can survive in this often vacant shopping center. The food was good, bar food. My dad and husband loved their burgers and fries/tots came out hot. My Kahlua pork pizza was delicious with its pineapple and was even better as leftovers the next day, a sign of a good pizza. The house salad was also delicious and a good size for a good price. Overall, I have nothing bad to say about the food! They kept it simple and reasonably priced and it works. There are just a few idiosyncrasies that make this place 4 instead of 5 stars. The room is echo-y and one of the bartenders grabbed our drink and did not ask if we wanted a refill, I promise we had only completed our first. The seating is rather limited as it is heavily concentrated by the front entrance since the pool table takes up the rest of the space. But, you can see the big screen projection t.v. from anywhere. Summary: Great place to grab a beer and a bite to eat with friends. Thanks Hillside Pub for opening up! Notes: 21+ ONLY, in the Scholls Village shopping area, plenty of parking although you might have to walk up or down a hill, accessible(one level), big table perfect for NFL fantasy draft meetings, a «seat yourself» establishment. In the suite that used to house the bike shop next to Casa Lola.
