Everytime i go, there closed when it say open. Gave up on trying. Wanted to take my boyfriend here since he loves elephant ears! And I use to come here and get the shaved ice

It was actually pretty confusing to find this place but the food was totally worth it. I was greeted by a smile from the owner (I guess). She explained every single detail on each item from the menu for us. I am boring so I just got a deep fried vanilla ice cream without any topping but it wasn’t actually a poor choice. Not too hot to eat like I expected which was good :)
Happy service with great food. Definitely be back!

Well I been driving by this area for awhile, but never seem to care to stop in, but omg what I been missing!!! I’m a big fan of sweets & seems like I just found my spot! Anything from elephant ears (different toppings), Hawaii style shaved ice, churros, deep fried Oreos! Everything at a reasonable affordable price! I tried a elephant ear with cream cheese strawberry, and my girls got shaved ice really yummy. The lady there really nice too.

I’ve tried to come here five (5) times within your alleged hours of operation, only to find a closed red trailer.

This place is great! Tons of flavors and several natural, color-​free options that are even more tasty than the artificially colored/​flavored versions. There are the traditional cups as well as to go cups that come in many sizes. Elephant ears are also available. Really nice owner/​operator. Any time we are in the area we stop in.

Super friendly staff, fast service and tons of shave ice options. My Hawaiian friends have said its about as spot on as back home on the islands.

Hubby brought home a Nutella/​Peanut butter elephant ear and I was dubious at first, fancying just a plain one but it was amazing. Later we had a shave ice and it was a perfect size. My only complaint is a small charge for small credit card transactions… which is a bummer but next time I’ll be more prepared with cash in hand. I’m looking forward to trying some of her other creations!!!
p. s. double punch card days when it’s raining!!! woot!

My kids and I love this place! The ladies who run this food cart are so sweet and wonderful! The Shaved ice is awesome and there is a nice covered outdoor seating area! Can’t wait to try an elephant ear at my next visit, cause they look delicious.

umm… YUMMMMM!!! this hits the spot when it’s a hot day out and you need something to cool yourself off. i got the passion fruit shaved ice in a flower cup, they definitely give you a lot and it was yummy! my boyfriend got the tigers blood, banana, and cotton candy and devoured all of it as well. i would definitely recommend this place for a hot day, or any day you’re crying some shaved ice. i would definitely call this a step up from your ordinary sno cone!

I’ve been here twice in the last three days. The Hawaiian shave ice is delicious and the people that work there are super friendly and very helpful. They have lots of flavors to choose from as well as having elephant ears and churros. I can already tell this is going to be a regular place to visit. Definitely get your shave ice snow capped.
Extra $.50 to use your debit/​credit card — Just an FYI

Hubby and I have been driving by the food cart pod at the Big Lot’s parking lot on TV Highway, kind of a white trash area but the Food Carts looked inviting and we thought what the hell it is Sunday and why not!
We drove to the pod and headed our separate ways, me to Batter Up and then Frosty Ribbons. Hubby to the Mexican Cart. I had noticed last time we drove by that they had Elephant Ears, I have not had one in about 15 years, the last one being at Saturday Market. I was thrilled to see that they have them. They also carry Churro’s and Hawaiian Shaved Ice.
They have several different varieties of the Elephant Ear and I chose the regular one Sugar and Cinnamon with Whipped Cream. It was soo good, I cannot tell you. One is enough for several people and several snacks.
Next time I want to get a plain one, bring it home and put some cream cheese and strawberries on it like the one I had at Saturday Market.
Super nice lady serving and they have picnic tables for seating. I shall be back!

My face was in a red and white icey cone, straw and spoon alike sticking out for my need of delving into this sticky slushy ice hail cone. It was fun… and delicious!
It’s tucked to the very left behind of Big Lots parking lot. It has enough seating at picnic tables under covered tent to stop slurp and run, and it’s owned by some sweet sweeet ladies!!! :D I would come back to just chat with them! They put a smile on my face!
P.S The smallest cone they have is huge, it’s almost the size of my head. Not saying my head is huge but that’s big for a snow cone.
And P. S.S dont forget to get the «snow cap» on top your cone, it’s sweetened condensed milk swirled on top. Enough said. :)

Sandwiched between two taco trucks was this summer’s godsend. The Hawaiian shaved ice was a great dessert stop after dinner, or around midday when it was scorching outside.
For $ 3, the small size is HUGE and very satisfying. They have tons of flavors, and you get to pick three. I loved the Tiger’s Blood — watermelon, strawberry and a hint of coconut. Definitely spring for the sno-​cap for an extra 50 cents: the mix of evaporated milk and condensed milk adds some creaminess to the sweet (or sour) shaved ice. Also, the ladies running this cart are super nice!

I was really impressed with this place! The small size really looks like a large and the flavors were amazing! My wife and I shared the Tiger’s Blood with a little bit of sweet and condensed milk on top… So good!
If it’s hot as Hades outside and you got $ 3 to spend, you can’t beat this place.
The only gripe I have is limited seating. I say this because that beautiful mound of snow with color and sugar will melt in your car and lord knows the kids could care less about the leather!

I was looking for the *other* shaved ice and thought I found it when I spotted someone with a colorful icy treat near Big lots, but luckily it was this place. For $ 6 Princess and I capped off our school shopping day with a sweet cold treat. Its exactly like the Hawaiian snow I remember from Hawaii and later Tempe AZ when my college roomie worked there. (Till she got tired of being sticky).
The small is enormous! Princess got lemon, lime, and strawberry. She couldnt finish it and wished it was smaller. It was very sweet. She loves ice tho and this made her happy.
My small was tigers blood, guava, and pineapple. It was less sweet and I got through most of it. I wish I’d remembered the snow cap but I will next time.
There are a couple picnic tables under an awning and they were full. We ate ours in the car. Fyi they had oodles of flavor choices AND the lady was super nice.

First time here and was very impressed. The lady working was extremely nice and kind. The shaved ice was very good. Lots of different types of flavors to choose from. The prices were very reasonable for the size you get. This will become a favorite place of our family

If you are looking for TRUE Hawaiian kine SHAVE ice, look no further. Frosty Ribbons has done their homework to get the proper shave ice machine –and– they make their own syrups (20+ flavors). And as us Hawaii transplants know, sometimes you like ‘um wit ice cream and/​or azuki (red) beans. Yes, Frosty Ribbons offers both — and then some.
Summer hours are 11a — 9p, but owners Pat & Trish (mother & daughter) will stay until you are served.
Just to confirm… Frosty Ribbons does NOT sell «snow cones» (aka chunks of ice) they sell «shave ice» — just like Matsumoto’s in Haleiwa or Waiola Store in Honolulu.

Visited here today for the first time and it was GOOD. Full menu of over 20 different flavors, options of macadamia nut ice cream or vanilla, sno cap and red bean. They have three different sizes small:$ 3, med:$ 4, large:$ 5.
The medium is by far enough for one person in my opinion. Great portions, sweet owner and her daughter.
I got the mango and POG mix w/​vanilla ice cream. They have li hing mui powder and flavor.

I’m originally from here but moved to the Bay area years ago & I’ve usually found other dessert places outside of the Bay fairly okay. However, this random food truck blew me away. With the option of choosing up to three different flavors and a scoop of ice cream for only $ 3 – 5, I couldn’t resist.
For anyone interested, I tried the regular shaved ice with mango, pineapple, and mango syrup; a scoop of vanilla ice cream; and a drizzle of condensed milk.

My 7 year old son and I were on a quest to have Hawaiian shave ice this summer! I was so excited when I found Frosty Ribbons on Unilocal… and it’s just a few miles from our home!
We got there around 4:00 pm… place is very cute! Lots of great flavors! The tent placed for shade and picnic tables were very nice! The shave ice… PERFECTION!
It was a delicious, refreshing treat on a warm Oregon day! We plan to come back several more times this summer!
