In June of 1994, former registered nurse, Renee Selby became a stay-​at-​home mom. When her child developed severe asthma in 2003, causing her to take numerous medications to prevent the attacks, Selby anxiously began looking for alternative solutions. She determined thather daughter’s asthma could be aggravated by, even attributed to, toxins and chemicals from everyday household products, so she began throwing away personal care items, cleaning chemicals, processed food, and more – anything with artificial ingredients, colors and preservatives.

To her relief, a shift to natural products helped to improve her daughter’s condition. This realization led to an exploration on how to make natural soap, and these experiments in homemade soap were the beginning of an exciting journey. For more than four years now, Miss Selby’s Soap has been taking the Cincinnati area by storm, offering a natural alternative to the all-​too-​common products laden with chemicals.

History

Established in 2010.

Miss Selby’s Soap is a small Natural Soap company based in Middletown, Ohio. Owner, Renee Selby, started the company in 2010 when she started to make products for her daughter who had severe eczema! Her products were such a help to her daughter’s skin, that she decided to let others try it for themselves!

All of the products are handmade & All-​Natural! They are especially wonderful for people with sensitive skin, because only the highest quality ingredients are used that nourish skin, rather than irritate it.

Miss Selby’s retail location at The Greene specializes in gift packaging! The Greene location location offers beautiful packing for all products so they are ready-​to-​give when you leave the store!
