The prices were good, the service was excellent, but the food was mediocre. Salty, processed, and my egg had egg shell. As nice as our waitress was, I just don’t see us going back.

A group of us were out on the water, enjoying some boating. We decided to stop and get some food. One of us had been at Tinitique for a baby shower, so based on her recommendation we went there. After we placed our orders, we decided to ask to change them to go. There was no complaint from the waitress, and when the food was brought, everything was neatly labelled and packed. I have a weakness for meat, and for spicy. I started with the jalapeño cream cheese poppers. I’ve had the jpops at MANY places. Theyre easy to mess up, and difficult to do correctly. The ones from Tinitique were perfect. I hoovered the serving(ok, fine I did share a couple, and they were very well received). As everyone else was exclaiming how good their orders were, and how large the portions were, I decided to go for my bacon burger. I’m not sure it had its own zip code, but I do think the it was large enough to have its own gravitational field. Let’s just say, I’m a very big man, but I couldn’t eat the whole thing. Of course I’d also tried the fries, which brings me to my next oral happiness. The fries aren’t your usual bland, blah spuds. When we returned(more on that in a bit), I found out the fries are beer battered. Someone else in the party who generally does NOT like fries, got them with his sandwich, a blimp-sized steak sandwich. His response was, that even though he hates fries, the ones from Tinitique were excellent. Several of the group had ordered the pot roast. As we were eating on the boat, I was getting wafts of a delicious, saliva-generating aroma from the pot roast. One of the group couldnt finish the large amount of tasty goodness and offered it to me. I was already full but couldn’t pass up the opportunity to taste what I’d been sniffing, and it was every bit as good as I hoped. I’m a full-blown carnivore. I do eat veggies, but I prefer MEAT. The pot roast was up there with some of the best I’d ever eaten. As I mentioned earlier, we had changed our orders from dining in to take out, and everything was well packaged. Since the beverage servings were larger than the standard styrofoam cup, there were 2 cups of each beverage in the box for us. Our waitress did an excellent job. OK, so. We were on the water for a bit more, but then we cut our cruising short so that one of us(ME), could go back and order some more food from Tinitique before they closed. I was hoping to get a few orders of the pot roast, but sadly it’s apparently so good that they ran out by the time we got back to place an order. I contented myself with several orders of the jpops, another burger, and some more items that I’d wanted to try earlier. As I write this, the day after, my stomach is pleasantly full from the take out order, and I still have enough for tomorrow. PROS: Good prices(for 5 of us, including some apps, non-alcoholic drinks, and entrees, it was a bit under $ 80). Portion size is large. Taste is unbelievable. Service is excellent. There’s even a ramp outside in case one overeats and has to go home in a wheelbarrow. CONS: None, except the risk of needing to be transported in a wheelbarrow after overeating. Oh, and also Tinitique’s is NOT in my back yard, so I have to drive a bit more than an hour to get there. It’s WORTHTHETRIP, but if they decide to relocate to my back yard, it would be awesome!

I think it is under new-new ownership. Server Ava was wonderful, excellent prices and food. Better than last time with mean servers. Glad it has been sorted out, we will be back and recommend to friends.

I was using Unilocal to try to find a place for A Sunday Brunch Buffet. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to get to the results I wanted. I think there are too many places that have all those words somewhere on their site. As I was looking, I noticed this place had breakfast, but also had a number of terrible reviews. I was quite surprised by both of these things. While I am not a regular, I’ve been here a few times and have always enjoyed it to some extent. I unfortunately have a habit of adding negative reviews here because I want to save people similar experiences, and maybe point to ways people can make their business better. If you don’t point out a problem, don’t expect change, right? I thought maybe others did the same here for minor issues or one time problems. Sure, there were occasionally minor issues that may be worth taking off a star, but we never experienced anything major. Probably the worst complaint was from my alcoholic sister in law could not get her wine fast enough. I went today with the specific purpose of trying to understand the poor reviews. There were, again, a few minor issues. For example: the carpeting appeared to be very dirty. I say«appeared» because I used to own a carpet cleaning company and almost all but the most meticulous of all establishments have dirty carpets, though some choose a material that is better at disguising that fact. It’s just not a good environment for carpeting. Second, it was not quick, though in reflection, for us it was perfect. We were seated, got our drinks, and ordered very quickly. It took longer than I would have thought typical to get our meals, but for a Sunday breakfast with my wife, we enjoyed the time. It was nice not being rushed, though I could see this as a problem for groups that do not like each other that much ;) My eggs Benedict was great as was my wife’s quesadilla. So, to recap; good hostess, very friendly and efficient service, pleasant and unhurried pace, good food, very reasonably priced, and a dirty rug… 5STARS… ALLDAY! We’ll be back… soon!

Was one of our favorites in years gone by, but oh my oh my what a disappointment March 2016! The only good thing was the service because we were one of only 6 tables! We actually made a reservation because on a Thursday night 18 months ago it was 30 – 50 min wait! Not tonight and we see why! Sorry we Will not be back!

Great food! But they tend to run out of the veggie burger which is annoying. Long wait on food so get a appetizer. Seriously long wait. Might never go back

Looking for a good place to grab a beer on Sunday afternoon we stumbled across Tinitique. Loved it. The bar was great with attentive, friendly staff and locals watching the Bronco’s game. We tried the wings which were amazing! Try the Cajun and skip the Butter Garlic.

The food was very delicious and the portions are generally a pretty decent size. On my first visit, however, it seemed like we were waiting an exuberant amount of time, considering we were only a party of two and there was barely anyone in the restaurant. Very beautiful decorations and very nice scenery.

Giving 3 Stars, been here 5 – 6 times, the Food, I guess it depends on what you order, my favorite is FISH Dinner, I think its only available Fridays. Large portion of fish,(I wish they had a 55& over portion) I have had the Salads, and Sandwiches, they were OK, but charged me 50 cents for asking for Mayo on the side.(Waitress said its policy) Have been there for Happy Hours with friends, stick to Beers & Wine, the Margaritas are terrible, it was a Happy Hr Special, &3 out of 4 of us ordered one and all of us pushed it aside and ordered a beer, and bartender wasn’t very nice when we asked for a different drink. The mix they used was either bad, or cheap tequila? Anyhow, it wasn’t making our Happy Hour HAPPY! ! Clean place, variety menu, small bar, expect to wait on week-ends, esp in summer.

Weekends are for breakfast at Tinitique Café. They have a robust breakfast menu, but you can’t go wrong with one of their reasonably priced breakfast specials. Two can fill themselves up with a hearty breakfast for just over $ 10, including your breakfast beverage of choice. The highlight of the meal is their tasty red potatoes. For the price and the portions, you just can’t beat it. Did I mention that the service is really great in the A.M. Smiling, friendly waitresses keep the coffee coming all morning long. The ambience, set in the former Keystone Bakery, can’t be beat and I love the old standards track they play for our enjoyment! I’ve caught both waitresses and customers singing along more than once! If you haven’t checked out Tinitique for breakfast on Saturday or Sunday, you really must do so. You can’t beat the price, the service or the food!

Updating my original post. I am kicking off a star this time around. In my original post, I commented that it took a long time to get food and the servers were very slow. This past visit, it was completely different! Our food came out quickly and our server was nice and provided quicker service than I received in the past. That being said, I was a little disappointed with my meal this time around. I order the special for the day and it was blackened honey glazed chicken with a choice of two sides. Along with the breaded zucchini for a appetizer, the chicken, I got red skin potatoes and a house salad for my two sides. Everything was super delicious as always, however the portions were small this time around. That is something I do not expect from this place that is known for their large portions. Maybe it was smaller because it was the special??? I don’t know, but I was very sad, especially for the price I paid for the meal(that was on special)!!! All that being said, I still regard this place as a favorite of mine in the area. I hope next time I won’t be as disappointed.

Ever have trouble making a decision as to what you want for dinner? There is a good bet that you’ll find the inspiration for something good at Tinitique! I would agree with some of the reviews regarding the quality of service at this restaurant… in all honesty, it isn’t the best… I selected the 4 star rating based strictly on selection, food quality, and food presentation. This place has become a go to when I’m not sure what I want, but I want something good!

So right off the bat this place has that closed up old house smell. Then you get staff that acts like their face might crack if they are pleasant. The food didn’t taste awful but was expensive for what it was mostly freezer food. It’s too dark and had buckets catching water at the one door. The jarred things they I assume sell are dusty. Everything just seems forgotten and the menu is too much. Our waitress wasn’t pleasant at all more put out then anything. Don’t think we will go back again.

We held a family bridal shower recently at Tinitique’s banquet room. Cindy is the woman who you book the events through. She was very difficult to communicate with. She was short, rather rude, and when I would suggest things we were interested in for the shower should would say«nope can’t do that» instead of working with us to somehow come to a happy medium on our ideas. So if you have to work with Cindy I would not be able to recommend this venue for its reception room. On the other hand, the bar tender Dee and our waitress Mary were delightful. The grilled chicken salads were excellent. The room is very nice. When we shared our ideas with those ladies in regards for what we would have liked to do, they said it could have been done. Cindy is not a good advertisement or party planner, she is short sited, ridged, and crass. If you are the owned and are reading this you have a terrible choice of a person in the position. She needs to be able to work with people. I’d move her along and find someone who is progressive and wants to work with your clients!

My huge party-of-10 family decided to eat here to start our Christmas(part 2– we came on dec 26 to be with everyone) It overlooks the beautiful waterfront, and there is outdoor seating available when the weather is better. The restaurant is part of a large establishment, but the other half was closed. It was decorated like an old general store/Cracker barrel, with antique signs of Coke and Hershey products hanging around. In addition to the restaurant, they sold jams and local soaps. The menu is attached to a clipboard, and it is a packet of old papers that depict the menu. There are sooooo many choices, but the reality of it is that they are the same ingredients just used is different ways: chicken sandwich, chicken gyro, chicken burrito, chicken dinner, etc. The prices were a bit more than I expected: $ 2.35 for a soda, $ 3.99 for a milkshake, and a good range between $ 8.99-$ 13.99 for a sandwich, with chips(or fries for a $ 3 upcharge) as the side. Apparently everything is made on order, so it’s supposed to be a fresh as possible. So it did take a little it for the food, but it was worth it– it was really really good! Most of my family ordered the fish and chips, which they praised by saying it was the best they ever had. The Reuben, as they advertise, is probably one of the best I ever had. The fries were sooooo addicting! Ok, so it does sound positive so far, but some things just rubbed me the wrong way and dampened the experience: 1. The upcharges, as I mentioned before. $ 6 for hummus? $ 3 for sweet potato fries? Yeah no. 2. The portion sizes: everyone seemed to get their money’s worth until the waitress handed out the lobster pots– they were literally little honeypots. We thought it was a joke when they served it. It was also lacking in flavor– which was a shame because it was $ 18. 3. The bathrooms freaked me out. They had Walmart brand mouthwash with little white sample cups on the counter. The stall doors were saloon styled, and really short– like I could, if I had a hankering to do so, looks over it and have a nice face-To-face convo with the person doing their business. 4. This was a personal event that occurred, but none the less it affected my experience: they were having a gift card special, buy a $ 50 card and get a $ 10 free. My family split the check before and decided to do the deal and use it now, to save $ 10 on each bill. There were no signs or rules saying we could not do this, and we affirmed it through our waitress with the manager, so we went ahead with it. My family’s check transaction went ahead without a hitch, but my aunt’s was another story. There was some miscommunication, and this older lady came out and started to tell off my aunt! She kept saying it could not be done, even though it just happened with my family seconds before. It was unneeded tension and added nothing but stress. I was going to give them 4 stars, but that last incident took away a star. Summary: really good food(avoid the seafood, though), make sure you have entertaining Company, and don’t buy the gift cards(:

Never been truly disappointed here. Service can be incredibly slow at times. I mean excruciatingly slow. But the food is well above average. I am usually wary of places with a huge menu, but this place has dozens and dozens of choices and do each very well. The salads are great and Reubens are out of this world. Triple decker. The portions are absurdly large. Prices are more than reasonable and the food is great.

This past weekend, in what’s arguably Beaver’s best and most affordable restaurant, I found myself at a crossroads, one with with myriad paths. Italian, Mexican, seafood, steaks, sandwiches — they can all be found on Tinitique’s extensive yet inexpensive menu. But what to order? It had to be something I’d never tried there before… Eureka! It would be that school cafeteria stand-by taken down to Acapulco to party. Enter the busted piñata of a sandwich Tinitique has dubbed the Sloppy Jose. A confetti bomb of shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, and diced onions exploded onto the plate as if to act as an entrance ritual for the seasoned loose-beef Leviathan that was essentially a Maid-Rite gone mad. Too wild for the hands, I opted to destroy it with utensils, slathering it with sour cream, savoring its cheddar cheese-laden richness. Is there a better potato salad out there? Tinitique still offers what may well be the final word on the stuff of picnics and cookouts. There is no other side I want at Tinitique even if their Brew City Fries are quite the deep-fried prize. Dessert was the far-from-abominable Croissant Ice Cream Sandwich. I think I preferred the Tollhouse Cookie Sundae, though, and sadly, it’s not on their menu at this time for reasons unfathomable.
