History
Established in 1998.
We opened our doors in the fall of 1998, which back then was a dream come true for us in what would be a small mom and pop operation. We realized that the march of technology required a committment beyond that which most shops were willing to invest, and we had to find our own way. the purchase of the same O.E. scan tools gave us the ability to function at eye level with the dealerships, while actually exceeding them because of the multiple line investement that we have made.
In order to get the required training on all of the different systems, Master technician John Gillespie teaches for the Carquest Technical Institute, which gives him access to O.E. level training material, and constant meetings with other technicians from all over the country.
As a writer as well as an instructor, you can find hundreds of articles and tips written by John for both the DIY crowd as well as for professional technicians. John also hosts «The Saturday Morning Mechanic» radio show on WBVP am 1230
Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner
Mechanics, or as some of us prefer to be called technicians, have a natural talent when it comes to repairing machines. But today God given talent can only take you so far. If you want to be a master technician today, you have to study and attend continuing educational classes all of the time. By becoming an instructor I have been able to greatly augment the amount of studying in order to constantly improve myself in my trade.
It’s a huge responsibility presenting classes for other technicians and it genuinely means a lot to me to be giving back to the trade that I have made a career of. There is a saying, that if you love what you do, you never really work a day in your life. This rings true for me, to as much as the physical side of the work allows for.
