Worst experience ever! ! They spoke their native language the WHOLE time. Nail tech didn’t say one word the whole time. She didn’t ask the shape, cut them too short. Felt like my nail bed were on fire, she obviously used too much pressure. Will NEVER go back nor reccomend.

My sister-in-law and I came to tic tac salon and were pleasantly surprised. The décor was beautiful, everything was clean. My gel nails came out beautiful as did my sister’-in –law’s. I would wish the custom nail art we requested was executed with more precision and quality. It was good but not great. For the price, we received a great deal. This was comparable to salons in California.

One thing I really care about when I get my feet done is whether the water is hot or not. When you are sitting in that chair for about 20 minutes if the water at least begin hot your feet are sitting in freezing cold water. Well I was extremely impressed with the temperature of the water and the quality of my basic pedicure. My tech took her time and did a nice job! I plan on coming back! The only thing I didn’t like was she kept asking if I wanted upgrades or more things.

I absolutely love Tic Tac. Where else in town can you get complementary wine while you get your pedicure? All of the workers seem very happy, and them manager(the«angry» Asian man mentioned in previous reviews) is hilarious. They give reasonable prices too. One thing though, you have to be willing to speak up and tell them what you want. I have found that their nail sets are a bit flared out, if you don’t say anything. I get my eyebrows done here, and they do a great job, but I make sure I make it clear what I want be fore they start.

[i live in galveston] it’s got a good set up… with alot of chairs, alot ot techs… good, quality equipment and uv lamps the techs dont really conversate much… just work. [no biggie to me] they offer other salon services… massages, eye lashes, waxing, etc… i got a regular pedi $ 25 with flower on toes $ 5 and regular mani $ 15

Aside from the angry man walking around the salon barking at these poor women in a language I do not speak, I had an OK experience getting my first pedicure here. And the next day, I got my first ringworm, glaring at my from my ankle as if I should have damn well known better.

Can’t speak to the manicures– my work makes pretty nails pointless so I don’t even bother. Pedicures, though, are an absolute necessity. So here’s the thing about this place– if you are getting ready for your wedding, for the prom, for a photo shoot– maybe try somewhere else. If your week is completely booked and you need someone to take you as a walk in and you just want to be able to wear open toed shoes without embarrassment, come here. Yes, the staff is almost entirely Asian and I have no idea what they are saying. That’s ok, because I don’t come here for the conversation. They are quick and easy and I can get in and out in less than an hour. They also offer waxing and massage.

As a former investigator, I have been in just about every nail salon east of Austin in Texas. I’ve seen good and bad in all of them. Secondly, as a licensed cosmetologist, I know what is included in a manicure. As a paying customer, I feel I should get a full manicure when I pay for it. I did not get that here… First of all, while I waited I observed the environment. Imagine a sweat shop where women are all sitting around doing their job or waiting for their next client, with a man walking around yelling in Vietnamese things we can’t understand. Just not very pleasant. As I sat down for my manicure, I told the girl I didn’t want polish. She proceeded to do what I guess she thought was a manicure, however she looked out the window almost the entire time instead of at my nails. She did not push one cuticle back, but pushed«at» them instead. She filed the ends of my nails, leaving them rough, then buffed them briefly. It was a joke. She got up and left when she was done and I was sitting and waiting, thinking there was something else she was going to possibly do to finish this job. But no, she never returned. I went to the receptionist who spoke English and said, «Does it look like I just got a manicure? No? It should.» I said I was not paying $ 12 for that joke, especially since I didn’t get polish. Then they called the girl up who said she charged me $ 2 extra for buffing them! Are you kidding me? Well, he finally took that off, but if I could have walked out, I would have. They didn’t offer to fix them or re-do them or anything. I ended up paying $ 10 for someone touching my hands for a brief period of time while peering out the window, possibly dreaming of a better life…
