I agree with the last reviewer and think the negative review is a crock. Both of them posted negatives on the same day and one of them posted 1 star for the Dr., the Baptist hospital and Quest diagnostics all on the same day. Must of been a bad day for both John and Susan. I suspect they are a couple who were unsatisfied with life that day! Why do I think this? WELL Dr Kumar has been our family doctor for over 20 years. She has treated my whole family during this time. She has proven herself beyond doubt that she is competent and caring. I have had extensive health issues and she was the first to pick up on them or she sent me to specialist to be diagnosed and treated. I have a number of rare genetic disorders and she has treated me with compassion and I feel I have received excellent care. Now if you are just looking for pills or if you don’t want to hear you are overweight and need to do something about it or if you just want to smoke and ruin your health and expect her to be ok with it, then you need to go elsewhere. She treats the whole person and isn’t going to sugar coat the situation. If she gives you instructions she expects you to follow them. So if you play around don’t waste her time. There are those of us who need and want her help and we dont want to have to wait while she wastes her time on the slackers of the world. Harsh words –well yes: but also true. When a reviewer gives out 11 one star reviews you can tell they just have a hard time being satisfied!

I don’t have anything positive to say about this doctor. There is little to know personal care here. I was directly told by the doctor that she«mainly deals with diabetes, stroke and common allergy and cold patients» outside of this she can’t help. In more detail, She always wanted to prescribe pills or injections without an adequate diagnosis that made sense and never took the time to provide quality care. Even after I explained that the pills are not«fixing» me or did not work. She wanted me to sign papers stating she explained the results of all the tests and exams she assigned without actually going over them. When I refused and asked her to go over them she scoffed and got upset. She also missed several things in my care and did not perform the correct tests and exams as I food out from Houston specialists. The doctor referrals were the same, the basic low quality care and a charge to the insurance with a copay.
