The salad was soggy and not fresh. Soup was ok, but 1⁄3 of it went to the table when the server spilled it setting it down. On the menu it said fried udon noodles but my noodles were just regular noodles soaked in grease. The beef came hard and dry. On top of all that the appetizer came after I was already done with my meal with no warning ahead of time that it was going to take a long time. When I pointed out that I was already done with the food and no longer need the appetizer, the server refused to cancel the order. Ended up having to take raw fish to go. Overall bad service and mediocre food. I’d rather keep my money and fry up some soggy noodles myself at home. Update: To their credit, the salmon tataki is delicious.

Kotoyama is the best kept secret in Beaumont. They have great sushi and lunch specials. Be sure to get the Zilla Roll. It’s Amazing!!!

Very good food and very good service. The waitress was very attentive to our table and the food was very good. The food quality compares to Tokyo and the prices are much more reasonable. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes sushi and/or Hibachi.

Restaurant was clean over all. Cashier, waiter, and waitress were nice but none of the people knows own«Japanese name of MENU». Fish(sashimi) quality was good(=fresh) enough. However they don’t know how to cook«RICE». Rice of Sushi was half cooked(=under cooked). We complained about that because sushi rice is very important for sushi and all of Japanese Food. The manager showed up and apologized for that, but they charged us full charge. WON’T BACKAGAIN.

Page and a half selection of standand and imaginative sushi. Obe sushi was pleasant, seafood sweet and subtle. Wife’s chicken hibachi was well prepared. Meat moist, tender with the appropriate char in color and flavor. A wide variety of vegetable accompany of similar flavor. A mix well done and most enjoyable. House warm sake complemented my sushi roll quite well. A very good dining experience. A full service bar in the corner will handle any requests. With seating and very cozy. We will be back.

Its like Tokyo knocked up another restaurant and 9 months later Kotoyama showed up. Kotoyama is a great little place and some serious competition for the other Japanese food in Beaumont. I finally got the chance to try out the food here the other day. We started with a tuna tower, which wasn’t stacked in any kind of way, but delicious. The hibachi was really good and the portions were big. Prices are a little better than the competition and the atmosphere is pretty nice. Definitely a good addition to the Beaumont restaurant scene

Yum, yum, in my tum. The sushi is just as good, if not better than other pricey options in town. The noodles are amazingly delicious with tons of flavor, veggies, meat, and spice! The lunch combo is super affordable and quick. Kotyama is my new go-to lunch spot.

Went here for lunch the other day. Place was empty when we showed up, but people began to show up after we got our meal. The sushi was average, but hey we dont live in Japan.
