History

Established in 1993.

SpaceMakers Sheds was established in 1993. Sam Glick bought the company in 2005, making it into a family-owned business. For several years the company had a second location. But the Internet enabled them to serve their customers just as well from a single location in Bear, DE, the site of their outdoor showroom. At any given time, there 60 to 80 buildings in stock, from sheds to gazebos, pavilions, cabanas, and 2-story barns. The sales lot is always accessible for browsing, even after hours. The company celebrated their 10th year in business in 2015.

Meet the Business Owner

Sam G.

Business Owner

Sam learned the craft of building sheds from his father. Storage buildings have been part of Sam’s life since he was 5 years old, when his dad began building and selling them. Though the company began as a wholesale storage shed builder and supplier, Sam turned it into a retail store because he loves to work directly with members of the public. He loves to learn what customers like, and then to creatively incorporate those ideas into new designs for sheds and other outdoor structures and furniture such as pergolas, 2-story barns, and patio furniture.
