I had a terrible experience here! They were extremely rude to myself and my mom. They blatantly lied to us saying that they had bicycles for us to rent, so we wait for over 30 minutes watching other people being helped to then be told that there actually weren’t any bikes for us to rent. What kind of customer service is that? We then politely told them that we were leaving and was chased out and harassed by the workers. Honestly I would never go back again and I urge people to not go there. There are plenty of bike rentals that are better.

Great little shop! We used AJs twice in one weekend and the employees were so nice and helpful. The first day we rented beach cruisers and the next we rented a tandem bike. Very affordable and they have great tips for which areas are best for an enjoyable ride. Highly recommend!

We had a poor experience with AJ’s. Not knowing their hours we pulled up 15mins before closing. We were working with Darren who was very nice and helpful. We tried one set of cruisers but I needed a comfort bike so I could handle the handlebars. The son seemed to check in with the father and we were told those were in the back and couldn’t be pulled out since they were closing. We said sorry we didn’t realize they were closing which was the truth and we were told no problem we’ll take care of you tonight. So I sat on another cruiser to see if those handlebars were any better. Instantly the father then came out front and said” it’s either these bikes or nothing, my wife’s got dinner waiting for me. «and took in the other bike we were considering. Meanwhile this whole escapade took maybe 7 mins since it’s still 5mins before closing. We tried to work with Darren but it seemed the best course of action was to come back in the morning but we were so out off that we decided not to go back. Plus the price was 10 dollars more than down the street.

Been going to AJ’s for a few years now. Very convenient, courteous, lets the kids look around and try out as many bikes as they like. My son wasn’t happy with his bike„ and exchanged it the next day, and then once more. Very nice staff, helpful, and quick service.

We’ve been coming to Beach Haven for over 20 years. We bring our owns bikes and have never had a flat … until last night.
A.J.‘s is a full service bicycle store. They were extremely courteous, made no promises as to the repair time but said it shouldn’t take long.
They called within an hour to say the bike was ready. He said he had removed a piece of glass and showed me the hole in the old tube. Finally, the cost of the repair was a very reasonable $ 25. I was so happy not to be gouged in this resort town.
This family owned business provided us quick service, honesty and reasonable prices and makes for an establishment I would return to without hesitation and highly recommend.

Rented a bike trailer for my baby. Specifically asked if it would damage my bike and was answered that it wouldn’t. It chipped the paint. When I asked about it, the owner got v defensive and angry saying they take no responsibility. All I was asking was how to fix it myself so it wouldn’t rust. Also i got the last one available and it was not clean and it smelled bad, so i cleaned it thoroughly but that didn’t bother me as much as i knew that’s what i was getting. Needless to say i won’t be back.
And yes they are nice unless you have a problem in which case they become aggressive and unfriendly very fast.

The nicest staff of anyplace on Beach Haven! We were in and out in 5 minutes with bike rentals, and they were happy to let my kids try a bunch of bikes before they picked the one they liked (they even encouraged them to do so). And the price was right!!! So glad we went there to rent bikes for the week.
