The food here is decent but I had a bad case of food poisoning from this restaurant. I work night shifts so when I woke up in the afternoon I ordered from this place then went to work. Through out my shift I was in the bathroom vomiting and forced to leave work early. My boyfriend who also ate from there was at home vomiting. Who ever is handling the food is clearly not washing there hands and contaminating the food. I was sick all that night and the next day. Never eating there again.

My husband and I went in for lunch one day and we got there right before 11 but the open sign was on so we went in and the hostesses/our waitress told us they could seat us but we would have to wait which was no big deal. My husband made the comment that if they didn’t want anyone there before then they shouldn’t have the open sign on, which our waitress did not like that comment. We both ordered our food and when it came out we shared our plates as normal. The food was ok but nothing great. Later on that day my husband became violently ill and went to his doctor the next morning, he had food poisoning. That was the only thing we ate that day so it had to have came from the restaurant and most likely had to come from his drink because that was the only thing we had different.

The food was good I ordered the broccoli beef with fried rice and an egg roll. I got it delivered. The delivery girl was very nice. The egg roll was probably my favorite part. The rice was very plain and the broccoli beef was good except that they put way too much brown sauce it was very soupy. For the most part it was good. I’ll most likely order from here again and try a few different items!

Really good service. Everyone was very friendly and courteous. Drink orders were fast and right. Food was delicious and traditional. They were very generous with the red peppers in the Kung Pao Chicken. My niece enjoyed her Orange Chicken. Both were nice size proportions. We will come again. =D

This is the best Chinese place in Baytown, but not the best Chinese food I’ve ever had. They overload your dishes with too much sauce even when you ask them to go lightly on the sauce. I like my Tso’s chicken crispy but it’s soggy due to the heavy thick sauce. For that, you get 3 stars, 888!

Total disaster! The hubby and I have been eating here often for the past couple of months and we never had issues with the food or service. The service and food has been pretty consistent… however :(…tonight that wasn’t the case. I made a real stinker about wanting my food really… really spicy but instead was served a cold, mild dish. I told the waitress about the subpar dish so she bought it back to the kitchen and assured me that she would bring it back both warm and spicy… again…failed. 1.5 mins later the dish was brought back to the table in worst condition than when I received it the first time. I wanted to like this place, esp with it being so close to home, but I doubt we will ever come back. Yeah, sure, it could have been a bad night, but there are only 3 other tables. I guess you have to pinpoint what night the«good cook» is in because it’s definitely not Wednesday night! Thinking about it, maybe Wednesday night is the night of the mediocre cook with the mediocre pay due to the«free» wine they offer mon-wed. So let me correct my initial statement-stay away from this place on free wine night! I’ll try again on another weekend. Ugh… I’m still hungry!

Ehh the Chinese food here was average at best — definitely tasted like typical American Chinese take out food, maybe even a little worse. Everything seemed to be rather cloying — even the egg drop soup which I normally love at most places. My eggplant and chicken in garlic sauce was alright but the sauce definitely wasn’t right — again cloying is definitely the right word here. There were some positive notes though. For lunch with a somewhat large group of co-workers, the service was quite fast and we were seated immediately. I would say after sitting we were probably done in 30 – 45 minutes — including getting the check. The lunch special is also a great deal — some $ 6 – 7 for a lunch portion entrée, rice and soup, with a 50 cent add on for an egg roll. Definitely good value — I finished the entrée(and not about half the rice) but was quite stuffed. I probably wouldn’t choose this place to eat at again on my own — but I wouldn’t mind coming here again if the people I was with wanted to.

I usually go to their original restaurant near Gulfgate mall. I’m glad this place has a limited Chinese menu because they have my favorite dish, shredded beef with Thai chili and cilantro. I change it to chicken. I also get the sautéed bok choy with chili peppers. I have them leave out the chili peppers so it is the same as at their other restaurant. The items on the Chinese menu are definitely authentic. I’ve eaten Chinese all over the world and know authentic. Ask for the Chinese menu!!! I didn’t think this restaurant would make it in Baytown. I hope I’m wrong.

I waited over an hour for my online order to come. After 1 hr and 10 minutes, I call them to ask on the status. They tell me the order had been canceled because they couldn’t reach me. I had my phone by my side and it didn’t have a missed call. The guy who spoke to on the phone finally texts me after I had called to say that I needed to call by phone. If he couldn’t call, why didn’t he text me an hour earlier? What a joke. I then drive to the restaurant to eat and they didn’t help me for 10 minutes. I’m dying of hunger. I should gave gone to China Spice.

Every time we go they are out of noodles, and or rice, or somthing else, They can’t seem to keep up with the volume. Yes it’s great to have them in Baytown, and the food is good with the exception of undercooked noodles. Most of the staff very friendly and nice, However on my last visit a employee on her break was shoving her way around me to get to the drinks and reaching over my daughter face to get her fork and napkin to eat. It was so rude she acted as of we weren’t there! I’m sure if they had another one across the street it would be just as busy. Hope they get things worked out.

If I had written this review after our first visit, I probably would have given it 4 or possibly 5 stars. If our 2nd visit had been our first time, I would be giving it 1 star. Two visits, drastically different. Our first visit was great! We had been fishing all day and were headed home when we decided to grab a bite on the way. Once again, we turned to our trusty Unilocal app to find something nearby with good reviews. This restaurant had decent reviews so we thought it was worth a try. Hubby and I were both wearing white shirts with out fronts spotted with everything from sweat, fish guts, shrimp juices and no telling what else. I swear, we probably looked homeless and smelled like a bait shop but the little gal who waited on us was just a nice as can be anyways. I had the happy family clay pot and hubby had some sort of Mongolian beef. We both got hot and sour soup that was so good I ordered some to take home as well. The food was amazing, the service was grand and we walked out of there happy as clams in mud and full as a crab with a bare chicken neck. Fast forward a few weeks and we’re on our way home from fishing again when we get a hankering for Chinese again. We hot-foot-it over to the 888 again, this time not quite a gross looking and smelling as last time. Hubby ordered the General Tso chicken and I was hungry for fish and since we didn’t catch any to fry up later, I figured I’d get some here. I ordered a fried fish & shrimps dinner that was suppose to come with a fried redfish filet and shrimps. It came out and it was horrible! The shrimps were over cooked and the redfish wasn’t even redfish, it was CATFISH and had a foul fishy flavor to it. Our waitress this time was very un-attentive, but hubby finally got her attention and I told her«This isn’t redfish, it’s catfish and it taste bad, like really bad.» She assured me it was redfish and I reiterated that«nevertheless, it taste really really bad!!» Her solution to this was to go ask the cook and come back to the table and say«I asked the cook, he said it’s redfish». I said once again«but it doesn’t taste good at all! It’s nasty», and SHEDIDNOTHING! Didn’t offer to take it away, didn’t offer to bring anything else, didn’t offer an apology even! Nothing! Didn’t even alert a manager that there was an unhappy customer. Bad food can always be fixed, but bad customer service is inexcusable. We also had the hot & sour soup again since it was so delicious last time, but this time it wasn’t as good and every bite was a mouthful of dried red pepper(see pictures). We’ll probably give them the benefit of the doubt and try them again hoping our last experience was the exception and not the norm. Whichever it is I will certainly be changing my stars to reflect the difference. PROS: (all first visit experiences) Hot & Sour soup was delicious Our entrees were delicious Our waitress was really kind and attentive Restaurant is clean and well decorated Toilet tissue is better than most restaurants. CONS: (2nd visit) Soup wasn’t as good and full of dried red pepper flakes Entrees weren’t very good and the waitress did nothing about the nasty fish I got Waitress was not attentive, not responsive to our needs or complaint about the fish

I was so hype when I heard they were opening a location in baytown. They have the best wonton soup ever. Whenever we want Chinese this is the best in town for the price. The other places in baytown don’t even come close and I don’t want to hear no one talk about wok delight and the cup of grease added to all your food.

My fiancé loves this place, but I like authentic food. This isn’t a buffet, but tastes like one… And though the portions are pretty big, I think it’s a bit pricey.

I’ve eaten here five times and four have been excellent. This is easily the best Chinese in Baytown. I’m obsessed with wonton soup and this is the best I’ve ever had. It’s half the price of most places and twice the wontons. The pan seared dumplings are made in house and shouldn’t be missed. The main courses aren’t as delicious but won’t disappoint. Try the Singapore style rice noodles dish. The most surprising aspect of this restaurant is the shrimp. It tastes more fresh than anywhere in Baytown. They seem to take pride in the dishes rolling out from the kitchen. The service is a tad spotty. It isn’t bad but they seem disorganized and a little off kilter.

I find it funny that so many«American» seafood places on the Gulf will readily serve frozen, Asian-imported seafood, yet a(local) chain Chinese place nestled in a shopping center full of national chain stores serves up Gulf redfish over fried rice, and even includes a roasted jalapeño! And, surprisingly, they do it quite well. I’m not gonna claim that it’s some super fresh bay-to-table culinary masterpiece — after all, it is Chinese takeout — but I will tell Unilocal that I’m pretty impressed with what I ordered(redfish and shrimp fried rice). In addition to the good food, the front-of-house staff was very friendly and polite. Nobody was even texting or facebooking! And my order was ready right when they said it would be!

We have ordered take out 2 times from this place and they deliver. We were very impressed with what we ordered both times. I think it’s on top of the list of most Chinese food places in Baytown. Very hot and steamy fresh and delivered at your door for you! Who can argue with that!?! The eggrolls, fried rice, chicken & veggies, sweet/sour chicken, Mongolian beef are all great! The prices are very reasonable and we will definitely be ordering again! The portions are very big! We had enough for 3 meals! So glad a good, fast delivery restaurant had made it to Baytown!
