Let me begin by saying that my husband and I are ‘picky’ eaters and find something wrong or could use modification with everything we eat, but there was NOTHING! Every single item of food, from the calamari, octopus, baked clam, and shrimp appetizers, Blue Point oysters, to the Special of the Day seafood linguine was cooked absolutely perfectly! Nothing was over– or under-cooked. Even the lobster claw was meaty and flavorable! The service from the moment we walked in until we left was impeccable. The staff is so respectable, courteous, and professional. We were treated like royalty! We will definitely be back… many times to try their other dishes! This is definitely a 1st rate restaurant!

Was excited to try this place out but was pretty unimpressed. Went here with family and everyone thought it was mediocre. I might give it another shot since it seems like people really enjoy this place.

Didn’t have a lot of apps, but what we did have was GREAT. The calamari, escarole soup, mixed seafood apps… Prima!!! The special pasta of The day«orecchiette» with bacon, mushroom and truffle oil was out of this world and the best I have ever twisted! The red snapper was excellent, the pasta with salmon, and the curl was all crazy good. The only thing that was just great was the nochi. We all can’t wait to come here again!!!

I came here for a event during the summer. This restaurant happened to be the place catering the food. The interior design of this place is very nice and modern. There’s a second floor, where the event was held. As for the food, it’s okay. There was a set menu. The menu included caesar salad, chicken parmasan, and tiramisu. Portions were rather small but that’s understandable considering that it was a large group for a single event. Maybe it’s because my palate is accustomed to different types of food from the one served here, but the food was just okay. Nothing spectacular and I know that this place is relatively expensive. The chicken parmasan was alright. The sauce was okay and not very rich. Seemed kind of watered down to be. Scarce on the vegetables. Big plate, small portion. If it were not for that event, I wouldn’t especially make the trip here to get mediocre food. Again, this is all my personal opinion. The opinions of other people might be totally different, so don’t take my word for it.

This is a very decent Italian restaurant. Free valet parking… Great romantic atmosphere… Good service… Pizza is always crunchy and thin… With less bread and more flavor… Eggplant rollatini as an appetizer is a feast. All Italian favorites are above average… Anything off the regular menu comes out as expected…

What a pleasant surprise! I was admittedly a bit afraid to enter this family-style Italian establishment near Bell Blvd. on the basis of its somewhat garish exterior appearance, but after I decided to take the plunge everything was uphill after that… Unlike the exterior, the restaurant décor inside is actually quite elegant and upscale, the service is very good, the prices are very reasonable, and the menu is solid. Taken together, that already is more than many such establishments offer(especially in Northeastern Queens, where almost every other eating establishment seems to be an Italian restaurant). Now for the food: I tried the Spaghetti Mare E Monti, and it was well-prepared and generally tasty — not the best such dish I ever had, but way better than acceptable — and way better than I have sampled in the area. The Chianti by the glass was generously-poured into a real wine glass, not a miniature wine goblet. The verdict: This is NOT a mediocre pizzeria-style eatery masquerading as a trattoria while overcharging for primitive Italian food, but a very solid dining establishment offering a pleasant dining experience for a good value. As an added bonus, people paying in cash get a 10% discount.

Trattoria 35 is a great local place right off Bell Blvd in Bayside. Stopped by the GF and my NY Islanders-clad munchkin for an impromptu dinner Italian style dinner. Our order consisted of a Margherita pizza, chicken parmigiana platter with a side of broccoli rabe, a tri-color salad and a great bottle of Antinori for the two non-munchkins. Everything was very good and the check was a modest $ 133 of which $ 55 consisted of the vino. The highlight of the evening was the incredible fine-dining style service we received from our waiter. In the immortal words of the Governator(with a heavy Austrian accent): «I’ll be back…»

A very good Italian spot on the always-hopping Bell Blvd strip in Bayside. Even though it was early on the night we went, there was already a nice crowd at the bar and most of the dining room was full. A real wood stone oven up front near the bar adds a nice authentic touch, as you can watch thin-crust pizzas being made while having a drink before dinner. On to the food: Unfortunately, that thin-crust pizza that we were salivating over at the bar, ended up being of the limp-crust variety, and overall, strangely bland with a watery sauce that refused to hold on to the cheese. We will probably stay away from pizza on our next visit. Other items at our table: baked clams(fresh, very good), the arugula salad special(excellent!), papardelle with seafood special(very good, nice portion size, fresh pasta), and the chicken special with prosciutto(chicken itself was excellent, although it was just one small thin chicken breast, and the three(3!) small potatoes and small helping of steamed vegetables would be more appropriate for a mass-produced catering hall wedding dinner). Our waiter and busboy were both on point, our water and wine glasses constantly topped off. Again, a fine choice for Italian in the neighborhood. Reasonably priced, attractive décor, nice atmosphere, good service, attentive floor manager. Very good, not great.

EXCELLENT. All around! Great food: we got the Margherita pizza as an appetizer.(Thin light crust — super fresh ingredients.) I got a Branzino special. It was grilled with a pesto sauce. It also had sundried tomatoes and shrimp sautéed in the pesto sauce. AMAZING. The fist melted in my mouth. So upset I forgot to take a picture! Great service: Vito was awesome! All of the support staff were super attentive as well! I forgot to ask them their names! Overall, an excellent experience! I will definitely be back! Great Job Trattoria 35!

Hey… My review on this«one of the best restaurants in Queens«is long overdue! Their food! All of their menus are excellent. Whenever our family visits, we especially enjoy their spinach salad, fried calamari, Linguine Ai Frutti Di Mare, chicken marsala, chicken parmigiana, Linguine con le Vongole, baked clams, etc. I could go on and on but if you are in the mood for something special, just ask! They customize for you with the ingredients you want and to your liking… almost like getting a private catering which is so fabulous. Of course their pizzas are scrumptious too, especially their classic margarita. Then the service! It’s what makes Trattoria 35 so outstanding. Service is always delightful and consistent. The manager exudes such vibrant and high energy every time you walk in. He always greets everyone with big smile. So do the waiters. They are very professional, well trained, extremely friendly and attentive. I can confidently say and assure that it’s one of the best restaurants in Queens, no doubt! Personally, not only for the convenience that it’s located so close to my house, but it’s their excellent food and service that makes me want to go back there again and again. I’m a working mom and sometimes when I feel overwhelmed or tired from work, I ask my family, «Where do you want to go tonight for dinner?» Then my family almost always shout out, «Trattoria 35!» :) I didn’t give them 5 stars, only because sometimes it’s so crowded that the wait is long and the temperature of the restaurant is bit low so I always carry extra jacket or cardigan with me when I visit here. :) Anyway, they truly deserve the Big 4 stars!

I had such a lovely time last time I visited I came here again. I love it. I love the service I love their specials for the day and I absolutely love the service. Okay, the seafood pizza was little above average. I had seafood pasta(special of day) was also a bit over average. But the ambience and the service makes it 5 star FYI, you pay cash u get 10%off.

I can not remember dining out and getting excited during my meal to return. As an Italian American I am naturally a harsh critique when it comes to eating Italian food. More than most restaurants do not measure up to my standard. Trattoria 35 offered the freshest testing ingredients in the dishes I ordered.(Try the Spaghetti alla Carbonara, & baked clams). The use of fresh ingredients was made very apparent on my pallet. Everything was cooked well and it was a very exciting experience. This visit to Trattoria 35 was the first of many more. Im very happy and excited to see the chef taking pride in his art. Bellissima! Also try the classic style pizza!!!

Oh boy where do I begin? Let’s start with the positive: The service is friendly and attentive and the place was packed. Trattoria 35 has a nice look and definite buzz, but the food… alas the food needs help. Again I will start with the positive: Baked clams were fresh and tasted of garlic and oregano, the long rectangular Margarita pizza was a great starter that everyone loved but I did not have any. The oysters on the half shell were fresh and briny but served lukewarm rather than ice cold the way I like them. The seafood salad had tender calamari and a very bright zesty lemon vinaigrette but unfortunately there were only two small shrimp in it and that’s not much for a $ 15 appetizer. One of the specials was red snapper filet prepared any style. I decided to have the red snapper marreciatta which should be sauteed with San Marzano tomatoes, garlic, onions, olives and fresh basil. Instead I got two deep-fried end pieces of red snapper with some unrecognizable tasteless tomato sauce ladled on top. Also I asked for my red snapper entrée to be served with broccoli rabe, instead I got a mushy assortment of mixed vegetables with three wedges of deep fried potatoes. I did get a side of broccoli rabe but I was charged nine dollars for it in addition to my $ 27 red snapper entrée. The porcini mushroom risotto with scallops was served with tough small scallops. In addition to my entrée problem we had a table of 15 people for a birthday party and two people sent their entrées back for being improperly cooked and at least five or six people did not like their entrées at all. Oh boy this kitchen needs serious help!

I had the pleasure of experiencing this hidden gem on the recommendation of a good friend. I walked in really not having high expectations since the majority of Italian places I have enjoyed were always in Manhattan. As we were waiting for our table for two, the waiter seated us by the bar took our drink order and had it delivered in a manner that felt like I was in his home. The owner came by to our table shook my hand and welcomed us again making me feel like we had known each other for years. This theme of feeling comfort and being at home continued when I got my food. We started with the East Coast oysters which were juicy and very tasty. The cocktail sauce had a hint of sweetness mixing with the bitterness giving this appetizer an amazing kick. I ordered the special called black fettuccine. It was a seafood medley beautifully orchestrated with octopus, clams, muscles, and shrimps swimming together in a tomato sauce. The black noodles were barely noticeable and hidden by the cacophony of red. Each bite was riveting leaving a small hint of spice dancing on my mouth. To round out the meal we ordered coffee and a nuttela pizza that had sprinkles of coconut inside and outside this unique dessert. It was baked so the ingredients mesh together well providing a comfortable satiated feeling like you’re sitting in front of a fireplace in a cozy ski cabin. The waitstaff was very professional and cleared our plates away swiftly and precisely. I never felt like I needed to ask for anything, it just showed up. Overall an excellent dining experience and I’m looking forward to taking more friends here in the near future.

This restaurant is one of my go to restaurants in Bayside. Valet parking, professional waitstaff and delicious food. Tonight we started with the seafood salad and the stuffed mushrooms. I highly recommend both appetizers. For dinner we had the fish specials; pan seared black bass and the red snapper with tomatoes, olives and capers in a lemon butter sauce. Delicious. Did not have any room for dessert.

I love Trattoria 35. It has never failed me once. THIS time we had the Calamari — typical, crispy. Stuffed Mushrooms in a Penne a la vodka sauce, yum! And for Entrees we had the Chef’s Special: Crab Ravioli in a Vodka Sauce. It came with 5 and it was a good portion. Real crab meat, wonderful. But my Fav dish of the night was the: Rigatoni Sugo Di Carne beef bresaola, pork, and short ribs braised, then reduced in fresh tomatoes and herbs I want to eat this every day! We were too stuffed for dessert — Til next time!

I came here with a friend to celebrate my birthday. The restaurant is very cozy and the employees are very nice. When the waiter found out it was my birthday, he gave us chocolate Patron shots on the house. The staff also sang happy birthday to me, which was very nice. As far as the food goes, I thought it was good overall. We ordered the fried ravioli to start. It was hot, crisp and fresh. I really liked the marinara sauce that came with it; it had a nice homemade flavor. For my entrée, I got the rigatoni with braised beef. The pasta was al dente; however, the beef was a little overcooked. The sauce was a bit on the watery side; I would have preferred the marinara sauce that came with the ravioli. For dessert, my friend and I shared the homemade crème brûlée and tiramisu. My favorite was the crème brûlée. I plan on coming back here to try their pizza and other items on their menu.

So very Italian. As my boyfriend and I were waiting to be seated, we observed the manager chatting with everybody. There was an abundance of hugs and kisses. The staff is very friendly, to say the least, and I can tell there are a lot of regulars. The bread was good but nothing special. It came with pats of butter, but I would have liked some olive oil. I had a craving for penne alla vodka, which ended up being decent. The sauce could have been a bit creamier though. My boyfriend got the scallop risotto and it was a major disappointment. The scallops were small and hard around the edges… they didn’t seem too fresh. The rice itself was very boring. For $ 21, the risotto was definitely not worth it. Overall, decent family restaurant that may satisfy your Italian cravings. I would come back to try the other items if I’m in the area.

This is one of my favorite Italian family restaurants. The staff is amazing and the manager is always at the door to greet everyone. Though I’ve only been here twice, he knows my family and makes me feel so welcomed. It’s great for groups and families to share/try out several dishes since they are all delicious. The specials change every week and they are ALL great. You can never go wrong with their pizza. If I’m not dining there, I’m always ordering their pizza to go. I always get their Pizza 35. One of my favorite pasta dishes is the fungi pappardelle. It’s extremely basic, but the mushroom truffle sauce is super tasty and decadent. For first timers, I would recommend any seafood pasta dish. Both the seafood and the pasta is cooked perfectly. Never fishy and super tender calamari. DON’T FORGETTOORDERSANGRIA! It’s not too sweet, but it tastes like juice.

I don’t leave many 1 – 2 star reviews because places really have to try to get there, but Trattoria 35 is just such a disappointment. My first time was a couple of years ago and the service was poor, the dishes were lukewarm at best and the clam vongole was undercooked and over breaded. Fast forward two years and the service is better(not very busy on a Tuesday night), the pasta was about seven minutes shy of al dente and the parmagiane was basically breaded flour with cheese and sauce. We ordered several of the antipasti(thankfully it’s difficult to royally mess up arugula salad and fresh mozzarella with tomatoes), the orecchiette, the farfalle, the mussels, clams, le parmiagiane and a made to order salmon oreganata. The fresh mozzarella was not so fresh. The tomatoes tasted like tomatoes. The clams were overbreaded. THREE of my mussels were bad. The orecchiette was clumpy and severely undercooked. The farfalle was overcooked but really not bad. The le parmiagiane(eggplant, veal and chicken) were very very flattened pieces of breaded flour. I was expecting three pronounced fillets. I expected too much. What saved the day? $ 30 for a bottle of Argentinian Malbec. Two stars because the wait staff was polite.
