I just had the WORST chicken quesadilla Big hunks of chicken with an odd flavor, the cheese wasnt melted, the guacamole had no taste. UGH. Never again.

Good takeout Chinese place on Bell Blvd, on the few blocks where every restaurant is Asian. The food is very good and prices are pretty cheap. Located in a shopping plaza with a few parking spaces, this little Mexican/Chinese restaurant does good business. Excellent chicken and broccoli and sesame chicken. Boneless spare ribs are tasty. Love their lunch specials.

I would have given this place more stars because their food is pretty decent but after getting ripped off by one of their delivery guys, I’m never doing business with them again. For any future customers ordering delivery from this place, if the delivery guy is this short, Asian guy who looks like he’s in his 50s and can barely speak a word of English, don’t bother giving him tip cos the $ 10 he cheated me out of today should cover his next few deliveries or so. Guys, tips are on me! Here’s what happened(for shorter version, scroll all the way down): my order today came out to a total of $ 21 so I planned on giving him $ 24. I usually give a $ 3 tip. It was the same tip I gave the same delivery guy when my coworkers and I ordered from them yesterday and that’s the same tip I’ve been giving the delivery guy every single time he’s delivered to us. I hand him two $ 20 bills($ 40 total). One came from my coworker and one from me. I ask for $ 6 back. I learned now that I should wait for the change first before giving tip but I’m so used to paying exact total or near exact total that this time I had to do some quick math in my head. As you might have already gathered, my math was totally wrong and I should’ve asked for $ 16 back. I speak to the guy again before he leaves and he swears that I gave him a $ 10 and a $ 20. I told him that there was no way that was possible because I had three $ 20 bills, one $ 10 bill, one $ 5 bill, and three $ 1 bills in my wallet before I paid him. After paying him, I only had two $ 20 bills, that one $ 10 bill and the remaining $ 8 in my wallet. Where did that mystery $ 10 bill that he claims I gave him come from?! He insisted I was wrong. We called Magic Chef to explain the situation but they didn’t help at all. I know without a shadow of a doubt that I gave him $ 40 total. I don’t understand. I order from magic chef all the time. I tip that guy every time. Why would I be trying to steal from him all of a sudden? If that was too long and you didn’t read it, here’s the shorter version: Old, short, Asian, delivery guy from Magic Chef where I order from all the time jipped me today for $ 10. I gave him 40 he swears I gave him only 30 when the leftover cash in my wallet was hard evidence that he jipped me. This dude is a lying little shi*t. Never doing business with Magic Chef again. Future customers, don’t tip this guy! That $ 10 should cover the tips for his next few orders; tip’s on me!

The best Mexican /Chinese I’ve ever had! I used to order from here when I first moved to Bayside in the early 2000’s… Then after some«life changes» there was a long time I had stopped ordering. I had found better Chinese and Mexican places separately so never gave them a second thought. A few months ago however, bored with my usual choices, I placed an order. To my surprise their menu had actually changed and my 2004 menu wasn’t up to date. After some initial confusion they managed to accommodate my order. I was shocked to find not only had the menu changed but the quality of the food greatly improved over what I had remembered. I always liked it, but now I loved it. The chicken in the Mexican dishes was incredibly flavorful. The Beef on a Stick had a great barbecue flavor. All the dishes I have since tried I’ve truly enjoyed– they have become by far my favorite«fast» Mexican restaurant in Bayside and very close to the top on the Chinese side as well– figure in price and they beat all others hands down. Mom is amazed she can get«dinner»(two taco’s for her) for less than $ 3. These days I always hear about restaurants cutting the quality of food– I was very happy to find this one has only gotten better! Dishes I’ve enjoyed– Chicken tacos, Chicken Nachos, Fiesta Salads, Various Quesadillas, Beef on a Stick, Chicken on a Stick, Wonton /Egg Drop soup, General Tsos Chicken, Sweet & Sour Chicken, Chicken Finders(Basically the chicken from Sweet & Sour Chicken), Beef with vegetables, and some noodle dish I can’t remember right now. Not had a bad item yet.

There are so many chinese take out places in a 3 – 5 block radius of this place. But this take out joint rates pretty high when it comes to americanized chinese and mexican food. OK clearly the mexican food isn’t authentic but it’s still pretty tasty and gets the hunger pangs in control. The chinese take out by far is very good. Have tried a variety of things on their menu and all of it has been very good. Prices are spot on and the amount of food they give you is ridiculously large. I like that their fried rice is more shanghai style. I’ve only picked up here so I can’t judge of delivery service.

Only ever ordered their rice and wonton soup. Both were very good — one of the rare places that makes decent wonton soup — thin skin, not thick and rubbery like bell garden’s, no msg and not salty at all, light pork broth, also they give a LOT of wontons.

Been a long customer until tonight. I ordered chicken with cashew nuts and they sent me chicken with vegetables. I called and explained to the lady on the phone who barely understands English so she had to give the phone to someone who spoke a little better English. I told them I wanted a whole new order and she said she would put extra chicken. When the delivery person brought the order it was a small kid size chicken with cashews. The chicken was unedible. I will never order from them again. They haven’t heard the last of me.

Food was good. Ordered here a couple of times before, but the last time we ordered the grilled shrimp fajita & the chicken soft taco their cheese was spoiled! Called back to exchange my order. The lady gave us a little bit of an issue & was trying to convince me that the cheese was fine, although I could smell & taste that it was clearly spoiled(tasted a little to make sure it wasn’t just me). But finally I convinced her to just send me a new order without the cheese & I sent the first order back with the delivery guy after having only taken one bite! Will never order here again! At least the Mexican food!

My ONLY Chinese take out restaurant. I can honestly say that all their Chinese dishes are good. They have a mexican menu, but I only eaten their asian food. Best of all, they normally take from the time a get off the phone until delivery, less than 20 minutes!!! Their prices are no different from any of the other Chinese take out restaurant in the area.

No one else makes fried rice like them! I know I know everyone says how bad«greasy chinese food» is for you, but honestly on the days you want to cheat on your diet. magice chef is the best place to go! anything you order will just taste so good!!!

I come here often for lunch breaks seeing as how I work down the block. Back in the day when Asia used to be the best Chinese food I could get in Queens I was skeptical when trying new take out places that were not Asia. But after Jeff H’s incident there I stopped going and needed to find a new place. Magic Chef is great and well worth your money. I always order my usual chicken with broccoli with plain fried rice. I have two normal complaints with this dish, 1) is the rice is usually bland and 2) the chicken is usually rubbery, this was not ever the case at Magic Chef and right away I knew that I would be spending many days here. The sit in is never crowded and food takes maybe 7 minutes to be cooked. Prices are average and staff is friendly. 4 stars for sure.

Definitly more take out than sit-in. The mexican food is great. Huge portions and it’s cheap.
