Food is still disgusting and they have still not cleaned whatsoever. Every time I think about this place I want to throw up. If you are expecting a good looking place, do not go here. Place is in need of good management.

We came here at 12 pm on a Sunday. I was disappointed that no breakfast foods were available, as most places have the breakfast buffet long after 12.. The food was very greasy and I needed to eat light on that day. I had 2 days of eating things I should not have and I needed to get back on track. The chicken was a lot greasier than I am used to. There were not many healthy foods out, except salad, fruit, broccoli and canned string beans. There was fish, but I am just not a fan. All the shrimp there was fried.. I could have stayed home and eaten the same thing. I know it can be very difficult to eat healthy when you go out but other places have healthy alternatives. There needs to be a variety of foods for everyone. Unless you are a huge eater, you will not get your money’s worth. I was invited here by family, but I doubt I will come back. Also, keep your breakfast foods out longer. We are all not ready to eat out early on a Sunday.

Great choices here. Food was seasoned well and cooked. Sometimes buffet food can be cooked fast and raw but not here. The pot roast was tender and melted in your mouth. Yessss! Chicken was seasoned well and fried to perfection. Yum! Yum! Yum! Check this place out.

BuffetKing here. I am a sucker for country food. When I heard about this place, I jumped at the opportunity to check out a country buffet. Let me tell you. Most of the food tastes great. They have some variety. I’m not really sure what the waitresses are supposed to be doing. You have to get your own drinks and they rarely take away the old plates. They mostly hang out and talk to regulars or the other staff. I’ve been there a handful of times now and there hasn’t been one time where the desserts were not stale. There also hasn’t been a time when I haven’t gotten diarrhea after eating here. Unfortunately, the last time I went here with some coworkers, one of the guys got extremely sick. He was throwing up all night. Needless to say, that is the last time we will be getting diarrhea… I mean… going to the Old Country Buffet.

Place is getting worse, use to eat there a lot. Less coupons, less people dining there. Hard to find a chicken breast in container of chicken. Breakfast lukewarm or cold. Bad management. Floors sometimes smell like cleaning fluids. Staff is friendly. Hope they change this place for the better quick before its not there.

Brian and i came because we got a coupon for his birthday. The woman at the front desk was so sweet. I’d come back again just to see her. But on top of that both of us ate for under $ 15 because of the coupon. Buffet win! Don’t forget to tip the servers here. I saw a lot of people not tipping. They’re providing a service and the staff is so friendly.

Wish they had salt free foods to add to menu. Very long term customer as well as my adult children and their grandchildren. Menus are good now but would like to see more change for people who have limitations to diets.

I live my life by the Motto«Try something at least once.» It has served me well in life as I have done things and tried things I feel I would normally not have. That motto was tested when I read the Unilocal reviews for«Old Country Buffet» in Bayshore. The majority of the reviews were bad. So when it came to me making a decision I almost walked away. Then I thought«what would a true Unilocaler do?» I need to eat and review for myself and I geared up with a date with a «all you can eat!» First off it’s located at the Mall so there’s plenty of parking. It was Christmas so parking was quick. Once I got inside they told us to find a seat and there were plenty of seats with comfortable low lighting. Once I was settled I made my way to the buffet, again I read no selection in meat. Really? This is why I’m glad I went, they had Meatloaf, chicken, ham, pork, and fish to choose from. They even had tacos! The choices for me were ample and the sides were great too. If you’re a guy not on a date then you’re in heaven. I ate till I couldn’t move and I won’t regret it till I step on the scale tomorrow. They also had a waitress that cleaned up my mess. I feel bad because there was no holding back. «What happened in the buffet, stayed in the buffet!» Everything I tried was great. You can’t compare it to 5 star dining but for $ 14.99 a plate you get your money’s worth. Last there must be new management, the place was extremely clean. Tables wiped down, floors swept and moped, and more importantly the plates were clean. That’s what I expect when I go to a buffet. They also have a huge selection in desserts, if you like that kind of thing, but it was nice to see. What I have learned from this is next time I read reviews use them as a guideline more then fact. Everyday can’t be perfect, but my visit today was spot on!

So here’s the deal this place used to be good and now has gone downhill. The food isn’t really that great. The only thing I really enjoyed was the orange glazed chicken and the dessert. Everything else was not memorable. I was really disappointed as I remember coming here when I was much younger. I saw kids dipping their hands in some of toppings for the ice cream(not sanitary at all).I got harassed by an older man that was there with his family(perv). The list just keeps coming. I just didn’t really enjoy dinner here and I love buffets. I probably will not be coming back. The staff was very nice and attentive though.

Was at the mall to visit Macys and end up coming here for dinner as I haven’t had a chance to try out this franchise yet. Overall I think its a decent place there are quite a lot of choices and with various soft drinks included in the meal price it turns out not a bad deal. However although there’s variety I thought most of their food are only okay at most. Especially the manned stand it feels like the food has been sitting out for a long time that they’re mostly pretty dry and hard to eat. The porkchop was the biggest offender I think. On the other hand I did like their meatloaf and they do keep the trays filled pretty quickly. So I think you just have to know which are the ones to go after. The desserts are super sweet for my taste but there are quite a number to choose from as well. One note I like to is that our server is really efficient, I see her cleaning the table for the whole seating area by herself so quickly and diligently that we had to leave some tips for her even if we’re not really expected to. Overall I feel this place is more about quantity than quality and really is probably on par with some of the Chinese buffet places I’ve been price and quality-wise. You probably not missing out on too much if you decide to skip this joint but if you are simply craving for all you can eat buffets its not a bad choice.

Came here on a Saturday afternoon. They easily accomodated all 19 of us. The place wasnt so jammed for being mothers day weekend. I think the food selection is ok, but they could def add more variety. The mac n chz was watery ive had better. Baked fish was very good so were the riblets and corn bread. Dessert was good. Overall ok experience.

The price is a bit high. The food is pretty good. Since there aree always a lot of people getting food there is a fast turnover so it’s always sort of fresh. The ice cream is the best!!! soft! Get on their mailing list or wait to the coupons come in the Sunday paper. The CEO sent an email to everyone and said to review OCBUF. so here it is. Redo the inside and the décor will make it a better dining experence.

The staff is awesome… Alvaro, Lisa and practically everyone is super nice. The food is continually fresh. My biggest issue is going on kids night which is my daughters favorite! I don’t allow her to serve her food without an accompanying adult to avoid waste and messes but not every parent does that… hence the mess at the serving stations. Especially the ice cream area. The staff tries to keep up with it but it’s difficult. The restaurant needs a refresh on décor! This location is now surrounded by «new» dinner options like Olive Garden and The Cheescake Factory… so my advise to Mr. Wedo(CEO) is let’s invest some TLC in this location and make it the best OCB Long Island has so the«new» dinner options are not even a option!

I should have heeded the reviews. Not a pleasant experience for breakfast. The only good thing was my coffee and the grits. My husband ordered an omelette. He asked for extra spinach. The cook gave him a whole story about his boss watching him and the portion control he needed to have. Really? Why should someone have to listen to that. Very unnecessary. There’s not enough proteins on the breakfast menu. I don’t eat pork and the had ham and bacon. The chicken fingers, waffles and country fried steak were overlooked, not edible. The home fries had uncooked onion and green pepper just mixes in. They really needed to be sautéed first. Yuck.
